Great food, unfortunately, massive wait for it to be delivered

Ordered a kebab, but never received it. Rang them up,said it was on its way, but never came. Rang them up again but kept blaming each other, but still never returned the money

Maura was fantastic! They didn’t have a vegan burger on the menu (that wasn’t a bean burger) but she managed to coordinate with the kitchen to get me a Moving Mountains burger that they had in stock that wasn’t going to be officially on the menu for a couple of weeks! 10/10 service, very accommodating for vegans

The food was actually amazing! I've had plenty of Chinese takeaways but this is definitely the BEST Chinese takeaway I've had. Also the cashier was so nice and welcoming but the food just speaks for itself! I've no idea why this takeaway doesn't have 5 stars!!!

I lived here in October up until the 5th of February 2025. I was in one of the flats my window was broken in my bedroom to the point I couldn’t shut it. I had no heating throughout the flat and was continuously cold. I was getting ill all the time becauae of this. I had to move my matress into the warmest room in the flat which wasn’t very warm but it was warmer than my bedroom. I had to warm up my flat by turning on my oven. I reported this so many times and nothing was done about it. I made a formal complaint was given an apology. I was oaying the whole of my rent at the time but yet nothing was done about it. Since moving out last week I’ve learnt that someone else has moved into the flat and as soon as I moved the repairs had been done AFTER I moved out. Not only this most staff are extremely rude and have their favourites. A group of people were sat smoking and taking drugs in their rooms which could be smelt all around campus. It was reported so many and yet nothing was done about it. When I signed for my permant property, I had no furniture and I asked if I could stay to the Friday as that’s when my furniture was being delivered, theh said no and rushed me out. The day of me moving I couldn’t fit all my belongings in a car and asked if I could leave my stuff in recieption for half an hour but told I wasn’t aloud. Rheir is a certain cook who is extremely rude and gives us under cooked food and a lot of people got food poisoning. If anyone is looking to live here I wouldn’t suggest it. Due to me getting ill and having severe mental health issues which was made worse by staff and residents I’m now suggest it.

£25+ worth of sub ordered on 17/2/23 through the app and collected from Alvaston. Returned home via car to find 2 of the 4 custom subs had missing ingredients or ingredients not liked (e.g. onions). Phoned the store immediately to be told that there was nothing that they could do, nor could they issue a refund because it was an app order controlled via head office. Contacted head office via Twitter DM to be told to email the store directly. Currently 15/3 (nearly 1m later) and still the franchise owners are refusing to do anything to refund 2 of the subs, stating that I needed to have taken a photograph on the evening and sent it in via email, despite the fact that both staff spoken to on the evening didn't mention this. The franchise has zero attention for the customer concern, and the head office twitter service is equally as pathetic. Subway Pride Park is completely different to this place and so much more friendly.

Came to the merlin for food and drinks for somebody's birthday. Food was amazing and hot. The waitress Danielle was excellent and has great customer service skills, she went out of her way to sort the birthday cake out and was very prompt in clearing our tables. I would highly recommend 👍

Great food as usual and our server Sharon was wonderful. Salad bar was good, had a new dressing for the salads that I hadn't seen and that was tasty and a little spicy

Had notification to say on way then took way too long to arrive! Food cold, when unwrapped. Very little meat in either of the wraps. Such a shame as food itself is nice!

Been today only option chips, sandwich or soup. Dogs roaming round in cafe not in leads! How this place got 5 star rating is a mystery.
