Harvester in Derby

Waited 1 hour for food came all cold sent back waited another 25 mins burgers wer hard couldn't eat them left half meal chips were very white hardly any salad cheese was melted to long very very poor food

Lovely setting but after waiting 50 minutes for our dinner we cancelled. No apology for the long wait. Not even that busy. Won't be going again. Will go to the merlin next time as we have always had good service there.

Would definitely recommend this Harvester. Called on the off chance on a busy Friday evening before visiting a show at Derby Arena. Even though we hadn’t booked the friendly staff managed to squeeze us in! The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. I ordered the Chorizo and Pork Kebab with loaded fries and my wife ordered the Camembert and Tomato Tart, both meals were fantastic portions and came very hot, it was obvious it had Been cooked fresh! We will definitely return the next time we’re in the area!!

Even though place was full service was friendly and efficient. Our server was sharon who was very helpful and the whole experience was good.

Absolutely disgusted by the way we were treated by staff tonight. We bought a bottle of wine at 9pm and under an hour later we were told to leave even though we had not finished our wine. The staff were rude and unprofessional prior to telling us to leave, shouting across the room to each other. This is definitely a place to avoid and I will certainly never go there again!

We were in the area and thought we'd treat ourselves to an early dinner. It's been a few years since Hubby has eaten here, so he was keen to try it again. There is a large car park and you have to enter your reg plate when you enter the pub. It was very quiet and we decided to sit outside and make the most of the sun. They had a TV showing the Olympics, as well as music playing, but more as background noise and not too loud. We ordered scampi and the chicken and ribs combo and then tried out the salad bar while we waited for our food. This is a nice feature and there's plenty to choose from, as well as numerous dressings and toppings. The rolls are very dry though. I wouldn't have those again. The food came out in good time. The plates were massive, which made the portion size look smaller. The food was ok, nothing to rave about, but not bad either. I would have liked more peas, but that's my standard complaint. I also would have cut off the brown bit of the lemon before serving it! Hubby said his ribs were nice, but it must have been a pretty small pig as it was the smallest half rack of ribs he's had! We had the lemon blizzard sundae and the rocky horror sundae for dessert. Desserts are £6-£7 each. The pub is family friendly and offers decent value for money. We're glad we tried it, but it's one of those places where it was just OK, nothing to make us eager to return.

Jade the sever was amazing and very helpful. The chef Karl provided a well cooked mixed grill with a perfectly cooked medium rare steak and efficient service.

Really enjoyed our food today, Had a Steak flatbread and sage & onion fries, veggie tart & fries for the wife which she enjoyed. The only downside was the state of the lettuce at the salad station, wilting & going brown so avoided that. Our server was Harriet & she was really lovely

Even though the place was really busy, we were seated quickly and our main course served within about 10 minutes after the salad bowl….our server Ben was great and explained about the Harvester App… saved us £10 off the bill.

Excellent service from Harriet and a lovely breakfast cooked by Josh. Would highly recommend . The sausages and bacon were particularly tasty . The service was speedily delivered and was very much appreciated.

Yet again a lovely meal - we cant fault it and also we was full which makes a nice change. great staff - easy parking - just ad your car reg as you go in. plus free salad as much as you want. we def shall be returning clean and very relaxing place - 10/10 A big well done to all the staff at the harvester {especially harriet and karl the chef)

We visited as we were passing and glad we did. The food was generous and tasty and the staff were all friendly. Unlimited tea and coffee (not fancy ones) was a bonus too. Only marked as 4 star as would have preferred a pot of tea (but understand that it's to keep costs down) and the bacon was a little fatty.

The service was excellent. The food was excellent and really generous portions. Really enjoyed it, and we are definitely coming back.

Recently visited with my hubby, food was great and service was also great too , I wish they would change some of the options on the salad bar to mix things up a little but overall a pleasant experience.

This was one of the most pleasant visits we’ve both ever had! Our server Harriet was wonderful, polite and helpful from as soon as we walked through the door to the moment we left! If we could give her more than 5 stars we would!! As for the food made by the chef, Tom, was amazing! Full of flavour, not one bit greasy, we will definitely be returning and recommending to others, thank you so much!

First visit here for a few years and a definite improvement on what I remember. I booked a table for me and my friend. After ensuring we had entered our reg details, we were shown to our table. I was pleased to see it was a booth and they hadn't stuck us on a small table for 2 in a corner somewhere like some places do. It is a popular, family-friendly pub. The menu is extensive, with good vegan and vegetarian options. The free salad bar is a staple of Harvester and has a good variety to choose from, including several different sauces and dressings. The service was quick, the food was enjoyed. My only minor gripes would be not enough peas with the gammon, the salt was empty and there wasn't enough cutlery on the table. Nothing to stop us returning.

We were served by Lewis who was absolutely splendid. We came in as a family of 4 to celebrate our son's 10th birthday on 22nd January. He was attentive, took his time to take our orders and made us feel like we were the only ones that mattered, even though he had other people to attend to. The food was really lovely and tasty (compliments to the chef Tom). I had chicken skewers and sweet potato fries. In particular, the 'build your own sundae' was amazing and which the kids really enjoyed. Despite a hiccup with the bill at the end which was eventually resolved and handled so efficiently and professionally by him, it was an overall pleasant evening. I wish I had a thousand Lewis'es to take with me to every restaurant I visited 😉. Keep up the amazing work and we look forward to eating at Harvester's again next time.
