The Bonnie Prince in Derby

Our final visit to the Bonnie Prince before it closes and becomes a Hickory Smokehouse. Great service from the staff as always, especially April. So helpful and makes sure everything is 100% right and everyone is happy. Great to hear we will see her again at the Merlin in the future

We went for an evening meal, good food at great prices, April, the waitress her served us couldn’t do enough, great service.

Best quiz host in the country, great food and drink. All about the chocolate fudge cake. Car park lighting needs improvement. Shakey is a cool dude!

We came to the bonnie Prince on the 18th March. Sarah who was serving at the bar was fantastic, we ordered food for the children which came out quickly and we managed to book the children into the wacky ware house Mia and Abigail were amazing such wonderful lovely girls who go out the out threat for you: so lovely infact we have booked to go again in April we heard from a local the place is closing down and becoming a hickory’s. I think this is a massive mistake greenking have gotten greedy, there’s no way it will be successful people go to the bonnie Prince so they can eat and drink let the children play I remember when the bartlewood lodge got rid of the wacky ware house lost there customers to. Same thing will happen here sadly. Yes they have the plank and leggit that Doesn’t help the locals though. Such a massive shame but I love to see greedy companies making mistakes, on Saturday it was packed in the wacky warehouse …. The new hickory’s cheapest steak is £21??? Good luck you will need it.. it’s not like chellaston is full of millionaires.. give it a year it will be boarded up and closed! Thank you to Abigail , Mia and Sarah who made our visit so good we booked again we will see you on the 1st of April for the very last time! I wish everyone who works there well for the future it’s such a great pub which will now be ruined by greedy owners who think bringing hickory’s to the chellaston estate will be a success because everyone I spoke to customers agreed it won’t… we’re derby not Nottingham!

We visited today for some food after school, we was told my son couldn’t go in the indoor play area as we missed the cut off time ( we missed it by a few mins) he was gutted! We went to order food and I asked the lady who was taking my order what time it cut off, then she went to ask if he could play and she got us on for him to play bless her! It made his day ❤️ the lady I believe her name was Sarah was so lovely and she went above and beyond to help us! Big thank you to Sarah! You’re an absolute credit to the pub! Thank you again! The staff in the play area was so lovely too! Nothing is ever too much trouble, thank you again! We often come here for some food and a play!

The quiz is fun. I’m only doing this for extra points :) Will defiantly be returning soon. There’s a lovely atmosphere :)

Great atmosphere and the food is very nice, particularly the desserts. The app works really well as well.

Food not best quality but good value. Food at table very quickly not the hottest ever. Drinks from bar lacked fizz although one was made with soda water. Table cleared too quickly. Pub contained lots of small children running around in eating area and car park, was concerned that hot food was being taken to tables, servers could have tripped over them, the car park was very busy. Won't be visiting again in the near future. If you are not too concerned about quality, meals appear to be good value. Eating area remarkably clean considering the number of children.

Me and my son came to the wacky warehouse on Saturday this was our first visit and my son loved it. The young girls that were working in the wacky warehouse soft play was so nice and polite even though it was really busy they still made time to talk to me and my son and there service was amazing . Will defo be returning soon.

Much improved from last visit to the quiz. Alot more staff. Much more enjoyable visit. Ataff not having to run around as much as they were previously. Good crack with jason as quiz host. Would recommend, every thursday night at 8pm

Came in Monday for and had 12oz rump which was cooked to perfection. Partner also had a steak on a skillet which was beautifully prepared and cooked just right. Compliments to the chef as we both left feeling satisfied.
