Having visited Bottle & Thyme with my husband at the old premises a number of times for food or drinks, we had high expectations of the new premises. Today we decided to try and find a table to have a coffee, whilst it looks lovely inside we were severely let down by the service. We went in around 11am and it was clearly busy, I asked the server at the door if it would be ok for us to have a table just for drinks, they told us we could sit in any tables on the right hand side. None of the free tables had been cleared, but I thought it was fine and weād just move the plates onto the part of the table we were not using, as it was busy we expected it would get cleared shortly afterwards. The waiter did not give us a drinks menu, again as it was so busy I thought no bother Iāll walk over to the bar area to see if thereās a menu on the wall, or one with the food menus. There wasnāt a drinks menu available so I asked one of the ladies behind the bar, she said she couldnāt help but would get someone to bring one over. I went back to the table, at this point a young gentleman was clearing our table so I asked him politely for the hot drinks menu. He didnāt look up but responded that someone would bring one, at the same time a female staff member was also coming over with the menu, which I hadnāt realised. As she placed the menu down I overheard the young gentleman clearing our table mimic me in a ridiculing way to the female staff member, whilst right next to me and my husband. He repeated in a high pitched voice ācan I have the hot drinks menuā three times and then laughed with the female staff menu as if I had been rude or asked for something out of the ordinary. Iām autistic and struggle to ask for things in public, this was very humiliating and upsetting so I left immediately with my husband. This type of behaviour from staff towards customers shouldnāt happen to anyone autistic or not, but with my disability it was even worse and made me feel unwelcome to come back. I would suggest your staff are given additional training in customer service and working under pressure. Being stressed because itās busy isnāt an excuse to act poorly towards others.

Let me start with the positives, the staff, all very friendly and attentive they really were. Unfortunately for us that's where the positives ended, The decor too modern, how people bang on about a traditional style taverna I've no idea, far too crowded we were literally sat on top of the table next to us, I get they want to make money but it kills any idea if a romantic night out for two. Lastly and probably the most important, the ridiculously priced food (which in both mine and my wife's opinion was average) both dishes we ordered came with no sides no vegetables, rice, or even roast potatoes, my Stifado was just that in an earthware pot and at Ā£26 it wasn't like it was cheap. My wife's meatballs we actually thought they'd sent out a starter portion, 4 meatballs sat on the smallest amount of rice with some tomato sauce, neither dishes could be forgiven by exquisite taste, because they just didn't have it. It's a shame as we love Greek food and we always go to one Sheffield on London Road, which is typical Greek, real Taverna atmosphere with mountains of food with the best taste. I'll not mention the name as I don't like to promote other restaurants in a review of another (if your interested you'll find it on Google). This will be our first and last visit for Odyssey.

Come in at least once a week and am always greeted by very lovely attentive staff! Great selection of cakes too. My wife has some mobility issues and sometimes comes in alone and she has reported that the staff are always happy to go the extra mile to make sure she is comfortable, 5 stars all round!!!!

A relatively small but delightfully charming eating place. With four or five tables with accompanying chairs and a couple of comfortable padded chairs and a two seater settee. There isn't a large selection available but the portions are generous and excellent value. The tea loaf which I sampled was very tasty as was the orange and lemon cake which I took out for later consumption. The hot chocolate, I had was served with a generous accompaniment of cream and marshmallows. I found the place to have a very friendly and relaxed ambience, initially I was the sole customer but it wasn't long before others steadily strolled in and leisuredly sat down to enjoy what was available. A good place to enjoy a quiet beverage, or a satisfying panini, sandwich or jacket potato, or perhaps, treat oneself to a slice of cake. The cafe is however situated upstairs in Chesterfield Antiques Centre so the dozen or so stairs might mean that it is less accessible to some. Should these not pose a problem, It's a quiet little haven away from the everyday bustle. A clearly marked folding board is usually placed nearby outside giving more precise directions.

The Fab in FabRico is true. Cappuccino so much nicer than large chain coffee shops. Fab decor, cakes looked fab and a fantastic little room for a quiet chat at the rear of cafe.
