No10 Cafe & Restaurant in Chesterfield

I always feel welcome and happy to go in by myself .

I have a tough time finding restaurants that have any gluten free offerings. The kind gentleman at No. 10 offered to make me any sandwich they have with gluten free bread. I had a great sandwich, a side salad and the best fries I've had in the UK so far. I was so hungry, and had been up and down the street looking for something I could eat. It also looked like they had an amazing selection of baked goods. Great food, great service, great attitude. Thank you. Highly recommend.

Went for breakfast last Sunday, food was lovely, the tomato sausage was especially good. The staff were very friendly and did try their best to accommodate gluten free. Would come again

Ordered 2 drinks and 2 mains had to ask 3 times before we got our drinks, we were half way through our mains at the time they arrived. Food was ok not bad not great. Service was disappointing.

Went in and were told to take a seat as it was table service and they'd be over to take our order. Well we waited and waited and despite other tables bejng served nobody came to us so we ended up leaving.

We popped in after litter picking the town centre... beautiful cakes and coffee.. a lovely treat after 3hrs collecting grot..will definitely visit again ...thank you for hosting Chesterfield Litter Pickers 👍🥰💚

Lovely place to eat, will be going back

Fantastic little cosy place. Service is amazing. We booked online for afternoon tea and everything was ready for us when we arrived. Attentive staff and lovely food. Will definitely come back. Good food, good amount and good value!

This is the second time I've been here for breakfast. Fantastic friendly service and delicious food. I had the large cooked breakfast with additional black pudding.

Homemade, excellent quality. Service is excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.

Really lovely, cozy cafe - I really loved the atmosphere. There were a good range of options and portion sizes avaliable, and the food was delicious! I had the vegetarian lasagne on the lunch menu which came with garlic bread and a salad. There were a good range of veggie and vegan meals. The staff were all really friendly

Really lovely cafe. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It had just opened at the time of my visit buy when I have walked past it is always busy. Will be using again.

I didn't have food, just coffee. Still a lovely place to visit.

Went in for a fry up breakfast today. We were served a stone cold breakfast. The bacon was hardly cooked, and all the food was cold, not even lukewarm. We asked to have fresh food made, and when it came back, it was just our old food microwaved. I know it was the same food as I had half buttered a slice of toast and received the same slice back! It was bloody awful.

Nice cafe with desserts and coffee. The cappuccino was delicious, the staff was pleasant, the restroom was clean.

Stale sausage so either had been reheated from the previous day or been sat for a while before serving, the bacon was like cardboard and couldn't even get this fork into to it and the hash browns were cold in the middle and the beans were not Heinz! £12.95 well overpriced for the standard!

Full English, bacon dry reheated,hash browns cold in the middle, tomato cold, toast burnt one side, beans cheap. Best thing on the breakfast sausage with a black coffee over £16.00 you would think at this much they would have a descant chef?

Went at 3.00 for a coffee and a scone. Despite place being virtually empty. Took ages for our order to be taken. Drinks eventually turned up .SCONES NEVER DID. A laughing "Ooh did I forget them" Sorry was all we got as an attempt of an apology. From a waitress who had been busy talking the whole time we were in there. Manager talk to your staff. They have lost you our custom.

Would not go back! Had jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise £10. The potato was small - med sized but well overcooked / re heated. The tuna did not seem to have any mayo in it, and overall tasteless and dry- I couldn’t eat it, had a free bites (I tried) but that was it! It came with a ‘hint’ of a side salad with a dressing . Overall a VERY poor food offering, I left feeling hungry still but also conned out of my hard earned money! Service was fine!

I have bee here before and had a great experience but my husband ordered fish and chips. It was a disaster of frozen battered fish, dark brown soggy batter, grey small quantity of fish inside just horrible. They replaced with a cheese sandwich on badly cut bread and the amount of cheese was tiny. I would not go again and the cost was £29 for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks. Another customer showed me her bread with soup. Rock hard bread stale and impossible to eat. A shame

Loved a last minute breakfast here not the cheapest but worth every penny.

Was looking for somewhere to have breakfast in Chesterfield and stumbled across No. 10. A friendly welcome and a delicious breakfast. Well worth a visit.

Had breakfast here a couple of Sundays ago. What a delight. Welcoming and friendly staff, wonderful food, great atmosphere and in a lovely location. Cannot recommend highly enough

This is an excellent café, fabulous food and a lovely cakes, high quality tea was excellent too! Smart and clean inside and great staff!

Went for breakfast this morning with my partner for my birthday, we had the full breakfast and if I’m honest I think it’s over priced, 1sausage on there for 13 quid, bacon was nice and thick but grey in colour, mushrooms were sweated and not very nice taste my Derbyshire oatcake had a big black hair in the middle but the latte was lovely though! Also sounded like the ceiling was coming through every other minute when people walked up the stairs £35 not well spent

Sat outside -so couldn't tell you much about the atmosphere, staff were friendly - seemed a little pricey - over £12 for two teas and one brownie type cake, but it was nice 🙂

Had a great time catching up with a very dear friend. No rushing us to get out, so a pleasant catch up.

You definitely pay for what you get here the food is all freshly homemade to order, table service in the cafe and plenty of seating both inside and outside, I would recommend here if you want to support local businesses staff all friendly and welcoming

Good place for lunch with a friend prices not bad due to table service which is good.

Fantastic independent cafe. We had sandwiches made on delicious fresh bread from Bakewell bakery and with the most generous filling of thickly sliced ham. There is a very good and extensive soft drinks menu. The staff are outstanding in their friendliness and efficiency. Very highly recommended

What an absolute little gem! We were staying in the Peak District and wanted to find a place for breakfast on our way home so stopped in Chesterfield. Absolutely gorgeous cafe/restaurant! Wonderful vibe. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Great choice on the menu. The pancakes were divine! High quality food. Got busy quickly so clearly it's a great place to eat. The cake selection was hard to resist! Highly recommend

Lovely place. Recently enlarged. You can now dine upstairs if you prefer. Food is good. I would prefer more veggie options. Met friends for breakfast and had pancakes, although I wanted a sausage cob but they didn't offer veggie sausages. Won't put me off going. Still a nice place to visit.

Called at no10 for lunch, wow what a first experience we had. We ordered one small cheese platter and 2 x pork and apple burgers 🍔 the food was delicious, the coffees ☕️ were piping hot, the staff were warm,friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely experience and visit, we will definitely be back.

Horrendous food. Inedible and very expensive! How this place survives I do not know. Must be completely reliant on first time visitors who think that due to high prices the food would be nice. Everyone will be disappointed. We will never visit again!

Although the staff was lovely, my breakfast was not.. ordered the 321 pancakes. Pancakes are not home made, they were stodgy pre packaged pancakes. Bacon was not as described. On the menu it stated streaky bacon but it was just ordinary bacon and it was quite sad looking and tasting. The egg was the only good thing about the breakfast. Cooked perfectly with soft yolk. Quite disappointed and definitely won’t be back.

Visited yesterday for the first time & whilst the staff were lovely, unfortunately we wouldn’t return due to the price. The food was ok, nothing special, but for what it cost I had high expectations. We had a BLT, Ploughman’s sharer & minifish with chips. Plus 3 colas £60. The sandwich alone was £12! I also didn’t like that no one came out to offer us a menu or take our order, I had to go ask for a menu then go back inside to order!

Excellent cream tea in the afternoon. Service a little slow and it wasn't that busy. But the food made up for it. An excellent pot of tea too. Would definitely go back.

We were the only ones in, but it was worth the early morning visit
