The best restaurants in Rothley and Thurcaston Charnwood East Midlands

Food was excellent we all had the taster menu and they were happy to swap things around. Waitress service was amazing she was friendly and the courses were served without huge waits between Good for Jordan he’s really created a brilliant restaurant with first class food

This little coffee/gift shop in the centre of Rothley has a selection of gorgeous gifts and cards. I always find something I like. Unfortunately I cant drink coffee but the lovely aroma is always very tempting. Worth a visit

This grill and coffee place is such an amazing find! If you're working in or passing through the area and you need a quick and filling bite to eat, this is the place. The value for money is amazing, portions are generous and the owner, who is also the chef, is really friendly and funny. There's a couple of benches and a table to sit at, but chatting to the chef is the real highlight of my visit. I ordered a burger and the buns/rolls/baps (depending where you're from ;)) are nice and big. The meats/cheese/sauces are good too! I left well fed and cheerful. I highly recommend this place!

The woodmans has a fantastic atmosphere and is friendly place to go. The staff are always friendly and always attentive,lovely . Homemade food also helps.

Been here a few times now with my family. Lovely place and well decorated which all contributes to a great atmosphere. Food is fresh and delicious as always. Happily recommend.

Great atmosphere friendly staff with great food

We popped in for a quick bite to eat on Saturday as we were doing some local shopping. As it was a sunny day, the few seats outside were taken, but we managed to get a table inside. Service was friendly and helpful and as soon as I discovered the quiche was homemade, I just had to try it. I chose the individual cheese and caramelised onion quiche. It was delicious! A lovely little independent cafe!

Booked for afternoon tea for a friends 50th cannot fault the service it was excellent and the quality of the food was unbelievable there was so much we had to take it home as well

Definitely the loveliest pub I have visited! Such a lovely welcome, food excellent, ambience excellent, very comfortable. The best ladies loos I have ever used, beautiful. A pity I live in the south, too far for frequent visits. Local customers very friendly, too. Thank you.

Friendly staff, same food as all other Chinese takeaways,fairly consistent, not had a horrible meal yet.

We met friends and their children here for a coffee and cake while visiting the attraction The drinks were around the usual price you'd expect to pay but the cakes were more than I've paid in similar coffee shops The staff were friendly and it was busy in there

We attended a family wedding and the venue was lovely. The staff were all really helpful, great food and a great night celebrating 🍾 😀

Fantastic Sunday lunch, and served by lovely Noah. Excellent wine too. Good service even though they were incredibly busy
