The best restaurants in Rothley and Thurcaston Charnwood East Midlands

I love this coffee shop basically for their cappuccinos. The ambience is friendly and the clientele are sociable. One of my reasons of visiting is to see if I can complete a sudoku puzzle in the time it takes to finish my drink. I don't always manage it so I may have another coffee. It is what it is !!!

Always good for a decent breakfast cob. Nice chap. Not expensive. Easy peasy.

Food was excellent we all had the taster menu and they were happy to swap things around. Waitress service was amazing she was friendly and the courses were served without huge waits between Good for Jordan he’s really created a brilliant restaurant with first class food

Been here a few times now with my family. Lovely place and well decorated which all contributes to a great atmosphere. Food is fresh and delicious as always. Happily recommend.

We went on a Friday evening ‘Fish and Chip special night’ . Although there were other available options, 3 out of the 4 of us opted for the fish and chips. It was THE best fish and chips I’ve had in a very very long time - absolutely delicious! The staff are friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere in the pub is lovely. Our friend had the pie and she said that too was delicious. Please give The Wheatsheaf a try; you won’t be disappointed. We will be back - very soon 😊

We popped in for a quick bite to eat on Saturday as we were doing some local shopping. As it was a sunny day, the few seats outside were taken, but we managed to get a table inside. Service was friendly and helpful and as soon as I discovered the quiche was homemade, I just had to try it. I chose the individual cheese and caramelised onion quiche. It was delicious! A lovely little independent cafe!

Fantastic takeout afternoon tea for Mother's Day! Great selection of tasty sandwiches and superb cakes. Great value too!

The food was well cooked and very tasty, and the service, although a bit slow was fine. However, our visit was spoiled by having to perch on stools at our table, although arriving at 1215. It seems that locals get first choice of seating so beware if you have back problems..

Friendly staff, same food as all other Chinese takeaways,fairly consistent, not had a horrible meal yet.

Can't believe how poor the service and food was today ! We have been coming here for years and today was a put off!! Soup was like cabbage/ kale water ! For people who are in diets!! Sunday roast consisted of liquidised swede and carrots and cabbage/ kale from the soup and what was worse we waited ages for this even tho the restaurant was empty !! The service was poor as had to keep asking for drinks
