The woodmans has a fantastic atmosphere and is friendly place to go. The staff are always friendly and always attentive,lovely . Homemade food also helps.

Fantastic village pub, amazing friendly staff with a excellent selection of beers,wines and spirits. The garden is an excellent place to site and soak up the sun. There's a patio area, grassed area and day bed seating area. Definitely worth a visit.

Mark the glass collector is amazing! Always up for a chat and will interact with everyone! All the staff are lovely, lovely place!

Only concern was lady vaping inside pub.

We have traveled from Nottingham on the Rothley line from Loughborough and arrived at this establishment as per our planned itinerary. The staff here are exceptional and highly professional in their conduct. The ale is well-poured and delicious, and the bar staff, particularly Rosie and Meg, are delightful and attentive. I highly recommend The Woodman's Stroke. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and we will certainly revisit in the future. Thank you, ladies, for your gracious hospitality.

We visited last week after I was notified by CAMRA that "Woodies" had been awarded best country pub and I can see why. Well kept beer, food and staff both excellent. Spotlessly clean facilities. Well worth a visit We will be back, thank you 🥃🥃👍👍

Always a lovely pub to frequent with a warm, cosy atmosphere. Happy and helpful staff. Beer well kept. Haven't eaten here, so can't comment on that. Toilets have got to be the best in Leicestershire 😁

My first time visiting. Both service and atmosphere was excellent. residents made me feel apart of the place. Definitely going there again. I haven't rated the food because didn't eat there. But I can imagine being good. First class all round.

Great location for a lovely pint

This is one of our local pubs and is a great place. We normally visit at a weekend. I believe they do good weekday lunchtimes. Sunday afternoon is a lovy atmosphere with live Jazz outside.

I went here for a pint after work with some colleagues. We sat outside in the beer garden and soaked up the sunshine and the relaxed atmosphere. Would throughly recommend this place for a summer drink. Might be a squeeze in the winter as the space inside looked smaller than the outside space.

Was here for my daughter's and son in law'sbbabyshower. Lovely outdoor seating (covered). Great for small groups (30). Just a very nice pub, friendly service. Will be back (soon I hope).

Great pub to have a beer, wish they would do better snacks but it's a great pub for a beer and meet your mates.

It's quaint, but the drinks are very expensive. If you're a real ale lover, they only sell bitter on hand pull (Charnwood Vixen, Bass, Woodforde's Wherry and London Pride at the time of our visit) - four brown beers and they charge north of £4.60 for each of them. A pint of Wherry and a G&T cost £12 - the pub is nice, but not THAT nice.

Very quaint pub, loads of outdoor seating, menu very simple and small, but cheese and onion toastie with chips is delicious. Staff very friendly and it has a nice atmosphere inside the pub.

I've visited this place many times and never once been disappointed. A lovely friendly atmosphere with amazing staff and the prices are pretty good to. Its a challenge to make places welcoming at the moment and they are doing a superb job. Still my favourite pub and even better now the restrictions are gone.

A traditional English pub with wooden beams and welcoming fire in the quaint village of Rothley. The staff could not be more welcoming. There is a good menu selection for lunch. Definitely will try to go back during the evening.

Lunch with my brothers, one has severe disabilities. As always he is made very welcome.
