Batter Days in Charnwood

Second time trying this place for fish and chips, and both times it's been good quality, decent sizes and not over priced. Even though it's a bit out of my way, I'll definitely be coming here instead of Spartan's or Devonshire.

One of the best and most consistent chippys I've ever eat from and I've tried a few in my time up and down the country, and thankful it's on my doorstep. The foods that good it wants to pull you away from your regular order just to try the rest of the menu and see what other delights await. Keep up the outstanding work guys your food is on another level 😁

Had fantastic fish and chips here. Really light batter on the fish and it tasted great. Had a standard-sized portion of chips and could only manage about half before I was full. Edit: We don't order takeaway food often which actually adds to how good they are. Every time... They absolutely smash it.

Lovely local chippy. Hot and tasty food. They really seem to have gone from strength to strength since opening. Fish and chips are excellent. The price is reasonable. I had a large chips tonight and I thought she wasn't going to stop shovelling chips on!

Really flipping good chippy. Couple of times I've got home to find bits missing & I live 20 mins away, but the food is really very good. The curry sauce is something else... Just keep a careful eye when they're packing up.

My first experience at batter days this evening was ace. I had a large haddock times 2 also small chips, curry sauce. Mushy peas. I had to wait for the fish to be freshly prepared which was no problem. The staff are all amazing and very friendly. Had a chat about my grandma that used to own this very good chippy. They do a fantastic job of still keeping up superior standards. Very fresh fish. Nice batter. Cooked to perfection. Peas and curry have great flavour. I think the most generous portion of chips I have ever had in my life which were beaut....I wouldn't hesitate to visit again..10 out of 10

Decided on a fish and chips family supper as a 70th birthday celebration. Couldn't fault Batter Days, freshly cooked, hot, quickly delivered and absolutely delicious. Everyone ate their huge portions. A definite hit with all of us. Well done and thank you Batter Days.

Excellent food they do battered pork belly and it's delicious, and very good value, there is also a small car park to use.... very good.

Just had some chips from hear i I can say I won’t be getting food from hear again the chips was hard and they tasted like they had been reheated one word nasty could not eat them they went in the bin what a wast of money
