Authentic Italian restaurant quite pricey but a nice treat

Excellent food and service second to none. Very friendly and helpful staff highly recommend. Carparking a bit difficult but there is a car park about 3 minutes walk.

Bistrooggi is now our go to restaurant. Out of this world Lamb chops, the best hake ever & an aubergine starter that's addictive. Friendly service, home cooked food at decent prices. And thats hard to find.

Our first meal here and have to say everything was fantastic. Food was amazing staff super friendly and attentive and there was a real buzz about the place. Will definitely be back

Delicious food. There are not that many nice Italian restaurants around so it's pleasantly surprising to find one with fresh Delicious food & friendly staff.

I visited on a Sunday night to celebrate a friend's baby shower. The place was quite busy which was a good sign. I was easily able to make a reservation online and was seated promptly when I arrived. The service was very good with friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the buscetta and pizza verdura and both were fresh and flavourful. My friends loved their food as well. I'd definitely come back here.

Up there as one of the best Italian restaurants, possibly the best in the Midlands. Brilliant service, food, wine and atmosphere. Could not fault our experience and was surprised at the value for money. Delicious.

Amazing food, reasonably priced and generous portions. The only down point is that it gets progressively louder through the evening and they dont have music on. Highly recommend as it's one of the tastiest meals I've had

1st visit here ro celebrate a friends 70th.Lovely big menu with lots of choices.I had The Mussels to start which came as a choice in a creamy dish or with a tomato sauce.I chose tomato and it was lovely with big fresh Mussels. Main I hadOggi seafood spaghetti! This was excellent with some huge quality King Prawns,Squid and Mussels. Desserts were lovely I went for Tiramasu.Washed down with a grappa Liquor coffee. The only reason I am not giving 5* Is for 2 things. My wife's lamb read on a bed of Mash and the Mash was too small A portion more a decoration. My 2nd piece of constructive feedback is champagne 🍾. It came warm and put in a ice bucket 🪣! No @ just shy of £60 for a house champagne you must get this right as it had obviously been bought out of the store cupboard not the fridge.Magners not served over ice.Drinks need to be presented with the same detail as you're food In summary will definitely return .The staff especially Demy were lovely! Great Team

I don’t know why, but I wasn’t expecting this restaurant to be as good as it proved to be . Every aspect was beyond expectations. The quality of food and cooking was exceptional. Really - faultless.

I encountered an issue where I found a hair in my food. While I understand that accidents can happen, the situation that unfolded afterward was particularly disappointing. I discreetly informed one member of staff about the problem, hoping to resolve the matter quietly. However, despite my efforts to keep the incident low-key, it became apparent to other customers that something was not right, which was quite embarrassing. Additionally, when I attempted to address the issue further while paying, I felt that the staff member I spoke with did not provide the level of respect and understanding I expected as a customer. There seemed to be a lack of willingness to seriously address my concerns, which led to an uncomfortable situation where I had to advocate strongly for the issue to be taken seriously. Negotiating for acknowledgment and action in such a scenario is distressing and not something a customer should be put through. Since this issue, I have tried to reach out to the manager for the past 2 weeks, and I've still not managed to get an acknowledgement. Disappointing to say the least.

Absolutely loved it!!! I was recommended this place by my italian friend who came to dine in here a couple of months ago and was so mesmerised about it .Me and my husband decided to celebrate our anniversary at this gem,we are so happy we went there.Our day got so much memorable due to the lovely foods and service. We had calamaris for our starters, and for mains, we had pizzas, steaks and salmons. All the dishes were perfectly good and so flavoursome. The staffs kept checking on us if we needed anything, dining here felt like a home . I visit bistro oggi once a month, the quality of food has been the same and the staffs are always amiable. One striking feature was how they add variation to menu time and again! There is something new every time i visit.

Booked a table of 4 for a family meal, the owner Mr Sapakota was very welcoming and his staff were also great. The food was fantastic and the portions are also very generous for the price. Great atmosphere, will be returning. Thanks again!

Packed in like sardines, I ordered Aribita pasta, portion small, not enough to feed a child, they forgot to bring A pizza we ordered so that member of the family ate alone. Asked for some water, that didn't arrive. Noise in the resuraunt was horrendous as it was so busy . Called in for a meal 10 March 2024 and I wrote a negative review last year, now I have been for a meal with family and service food was excellent. So it's a thumbs up. Thank You. MarkPercival

We booked for a birthday meal. At 8pm it was absolutely full. The service was amazing and they very very attentive. We ordered cheesy garlic pizza bread straight away and it was delicious. Garlicky and not too cheesy. I had the calamari. It was cooked perfectly and had a gorgeous tartar sauce. For main I had the beef pasta in a creamy mushroom sauce. I don't usually finish a pasta dish but I ate every bit. The whole party enjoyed there food and brought out a cake for the birthday person and the whole restaurant sang. It was amazing. Would love to go again and try the whole menu.....please go and try. There is no parking on site so find parking before you go.

Really tasty food, not overly pricey. However service can be very quick, therefore make sure you ask for a bit of time between your meals if necessary.

Absolutely love this place Had the seafood pasta and it was just delicious 😋 I could have quite easily had another few plates of this and every time I think of it makes my mouth water

Beaut meal for 4 of us to celebrate some work success, Fillet Steak is amazing and honestly best I have had. Great service throughout the visit with plenty of drinks and all round lovely food. Great atmosphere too and grateful to have this restaurant in Syston

Great service! We didn’t know that they were only open for lunch 12-2:00pm but they were kind enough to seat us despite arriving 20mins after closing. The staff were friendly, hospitable and very welcoming. The food was delicious and authentic tasting and I would definitely recommend giving this place a try!

What a great Italian restaurant! The food is such great quality for the price you pay and the service is fab. This is my favourite place to eat in the area. I love the original Oggi on London Road, so it's not a surprise that this second location is also fantastic. Bonus that it also has a pizza oven so even more options on the menu. We come here with our son and they always look after us so well.

Great food, nice people & good atmosphere. Only challenge is no parking. I am sure if it was easier to park this location would be full all the time

We went to this restaurant for a special occasion and it exceeded our expectations. We took it as a starter divided by two to keep us light for the main courses. we both had the lamb, simply fabulous, generous portion, thank goodness we only had a shared starter because we wouldn't have been able to finish it, soft and melting in the mouth. Super service and atmosphere. Absolutely worth trying

Lovely restaurant. Lovely see a place so busy even mid week. Definitely recommend the pizzas. Sadly we had to send the pate starter back due to the consistency of the pate. But the rest of the meal was lovely. The waiters were very attentive and friendly.

Everyone’s food was top notch, very well presented and authentic taste. Decent portion sizes and very fair prices off the standard menu. Carbonara was the best I’ve had in ages. Have looked at other reviewer’s pictures and our starters and meals were presented exactly the same so that’s quality. 5/5 Greeted on entry. Plenty of attentive staff, so no delays at all in ordering, or getting extra drinks etc. great service. It was very busy too. 5/5 Didn’t know what to expect, smart casual, but actually there were couples, families and groups enjoying their nights, so it was a good atmosphere. 5/5 Will definitely be back with the family.

We went to Oggis in Syston because the one on London Road is our favourite Italian restaurant, we thought it would be the same, the dish I always have is Penne Arriabata, it was not exactly the same the pasta was slightly undercooked. The service was ok the waitress took our food to the wrong table on 2 occasions, the absolute put off was how noisy it is, it's so noisy you can't hear anyone on your table, and I ended up getting a headache.

Second time here. 16 covers with two children. Incredible from start to finish. So accommodating, helpful and well, superb! Food and drink was outstanding - not one complain! Even provided children’s portion of food for our kiddies. Thank you!

Brilliant food please go but book

Avoid this place! Here I had the worst costumer service experience ever. The staff was extremely rude, the manager raised his voice and made me and my friend feel like we were some unworthy persons to be in his great restaurant and that he did us a huge favour to even allow us to eat there (which is really not the case!! This place is far from being above many other restaurants I have been to). This kind of tratament is not tolerable, but I can see from other reviews that we were not the only ones to be treated like this and it's unacceptable to have extremely rude and unprofessional customer service like this.

Very very rude staff especially the manager Roberto he is very arrogant. Avoid at any cost this restaurant.

My partner and I have been coming here since they opened for a total of over 5 times now. Food quality, flavour and texture has always been impeccable and service has been great as well. We've tasted many different starters, mains and desserts and have never been disappointed. Attached photos are from the special Valentine's day menu (hence the rose pedals on the table which was very cute) although both steak and the panna cotta are also available in the regular menu. The steak on the regular menu was twice the size of the one in the pic below so you do get your money's worth. Have recommended this place to all our friends and family, this is 100% the best restaurant in Syston.

Second time here in a month, this is just down the road and the only disappointment is that I hadn't come here before. Calamari was beyond good, cooked to perfection. Mains looked a touch small though we're really filling and very tasty. Service excellent!

Been here multiple times for special occasions and both the food and service cannot be faulted. The pasta is very fresh, steak perfectly cooked to my request and the flavours are always amazing. As for service they always make sure that you are well looked after.

I visited the restaurant with my partner and found it very poor, the pork belly is not served in the way you would normally expect and is more like cold ham slices on a plate, when this was raised with the manager Roberto he told us to never return to the restaurant??? We were not rude or difficult in any way but simply said the dish was not what we expected. Don't worry we wouldn't want to return anyway.

Came here with a party of 18 just after the New Year. Excellent service and they handled our chaotic group well. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meal. Particular favourites were the huge pizzas/calzones and some good spicy pasta dishes.
