Definitely recommend the badgers sett, the food was amazing! Thea who served us was so lovely and helpful! Definitely will be coming back sometime soon!

Noel is a very friendly and considerate waiter who looked after us well and made us feel very welcome with a friendly smile on his face.

I often get an Uber out from Leicester just because I'm addicted to the food here! Staff are lovely and it's lovely and cosy

Visited today with my children , ordered some bar snacks which took 30 mins to arrive but tasted delicious , however ordered my children 3 puddings and a drink and they took 40 mins to arrive. When I asked a man at the bar , him and the lady next to him were very rude , basically assuming I hadn't ordered anything, couldn't be bothered to go check my table number in the kitchen , and when I came back with my order confirmation to 'prove my order' he had disappeared, leaving me standing waiting with my child again. I had no apologies from either of them at the bar , expect for another member of staff who was serving someone else who apologised instead. Quite disappointing as we were having such a lovely time and it felt like such an unpleasant experience to finish.

Great place for an evening out, nice family atmosphere with a large beer garden. The starters were good but I was disappointed with my fish & chips. The fish was over cooked I couldn’t even put my knife through it. Billie our waitress was great & when I complained she took 10% off the bill.

On a lovely sunny lunchtime we decided to visit The Badgers Sett garden, we ordered sharing platter of chorizo, kofta, pork, and chicken, all the chorizo was 50% burnt, Kofta was cold. Chicken piece's were hard and the pork was non discript. For 2 people all portions were small....very disappointed.

Billie was lovely, very attentive and polite. Food was stunning as always. Will be back ;) Visiting the Badgers Sett is fabulous food every time, would highly recommend.

Would never visit here again after meeting the most rudest bar man ever who also served us the wrong drink even after me and my misses told him what drink we wanted. If this guy doesn't like his job then why is he serving there he had the worst attitude of any one over ever met he was disgusting and we will never go in there again it's just ashame I didn't get his name

Lovely meal as usual at The Badger’s Sett. Service was great, order taken straight away and didn't have to wait long for the meals. Looked after by waitress, Billie, who was really friendly and very attentive (and with beautiful nails according to my granddaughter 😊)

Well what’s happened…been a number of times and found it to be a very good experience, but today was very disappointing.Wait for food over 30 min and it not being busy. When the food did arrive it was very poor.Duck pizza contained almost no shredded duck and no hosin sauce.The pork belly was very undercooked and 95% fat.Tables not cleared.Hopefully this is a one off!!

WE had a lunchtime meal with friends last Wednesday to celebrate both of our wedding anniversaries. A nicely priced meal for two or three courses. Good variety and quality. Excellent service from the young lady who served us.

VERY DISSAPOINTING Me and my husband have been eating here for years, usually spending around £100 for 2 of us. The food used to be amazing but around a year or so ago it all started going downhill. 9 times out of 10 now we're let down by the poor cooking of the food..for example ordering a medium rare fillet steak and getting an overcooked piece of leather. Mothers day 2 out of 4 meals had to be sent back and refunded, the other 2 meals weren't that nice either. The staff are amazing, the atmosphere is brilliant but we won't eat here again now as we're always disappointed. Today we had a steak, it came with the wrong sauce and no steak knife. By the time we got a steak knife it was cold. Such a shame as we really did enjoy eating here before :-(

Me & my husband had a meal last night to celebrate my 50th birthday. The food was amazing. Noah who looked after us was so kind and polite, nothing was too much trouble. We went for a Birthday lunch (me &p parents) and had a wonderful time. The food was Fantastic. A nice range to choose from and an informative menue. The meals where delicious made from quality fresh ingredients and with a wonderful variety of flavours. The staff where great especially Noah. They where friendly, helpful and a comodating to allergies and mobility issues. All round we couldn't have asked for a better time.

This is a lovely place. It is cosy and very welcoming. From start to finish we were looked after very well, even though they were very busy. The food was very tasty and worth the money. You had the option of sitting outside where there is ample space and an area where kids could run around. Overall, I would recommend this place for meeting friends or family.

Staff here are great, we have been twice recently, largely because the team have been so wonderful. Parts of the restaurant a little cold (near the kitchen / accessible toilet) but that’s the risk of such a charming building! Food is good quality - we even got some free profiteroles. Mint and pea soup was a highlight, as was the steak and cheddar pie - a sounded unusual but was a triumph. Exceptional value if you sign up to the app and benefit from the rewards programme.

A great little pub to relax at after a trip to Bradgate, especially in the winter with the fire on!

Well initially not happy withy.classic fish pie as seemed devoid of the elements suggested on the menu but within a few minutes it was replaced with loads of what I was expecting.. Clearly just an oversight in the first instance...no hesitation no complaints no attitude a.smile.a nice remark and a lovely meal ..what a great spot highly recommend it and tte staff were lovely 😍

We were seated in the extension, which was quite cramped. Food took 45 minutes to arrive, annoying when people who arrived after us were served before us despite ordering the same thing. Food was apparently delayed as there was a large group, the time to tell us that was when we sat down, not after 40+ minutes. We received very much the tail end of what they had prepared. Gravy was in a ramekin as they had run out of individual gravy jugs so was difficult to pour. Sunday lunch was smaller than expected, particularly the portions of meat, this was especially noticeable with the mixed roast. Very few carrots or parsnips, and those that we did have were very small overcooked, which very much aligned with the feeling that we were getting the dregs of what was left for that service time. Portions that came out to other diners later were much more reasonable. Menu proclaims as much gravy as you like. Requested more gravy, didn't arrive. Reminded the server, who did seem genuinely surprised that no-one had brought any over. The server then fetched some themselves, but it wasn't very warm so wasn't very nice. For the price, there are many other places I would try before venturing back.

Good choice on set menu. Prompt service. Aspall was flat, replaced with another that I was told “should be a bit better” before the waitress wandered off and never came back to check. Pork belly was delicious, however the roast potatoes were very over cooked and some were rock hard and inedible. Nobody came to check if our food was ok. The receipt had to be amended and printed 3 times… they ‘forgot’ I’d already paid a deposit, even though you had to pay a deposit to book a table for Mother’s Day. Toilets were disgusting, it was busy though.

Super Mother’s Day dinner, great food, wonderful service. Chloe was lovely, couldn’t do any more for us and a great sense of humour despite a very long day for all the staff.

Terrible welcome, given we didn’t book a table for drinks. We were told to sit at a table that was uncleaned with lots dirty plates and glasses. We then got told we couldn’t sit there even though another member of staff told us we could. The staff are so rude. Once the table was finally cleared it was not cleaned there was food on the table still. It was disgusting. Won’t be returning, very under whelming.

Booked a table today 27/32025 waited for an hour but still no food arrived and so we got up and left it was not particularly busy and don’t get me wrong I can wait if I was prewarned about the wait but unfortunately I will not be be returning

Absolutely beautiful meal, everyone enjoyed their choices, excellent vegan cottage pie, so nice to have a decent option. Also vegan custard with the crumble, in 5 years of being vegan I've never been offered custard when eating out! Service was great, meal was great, they even looked after my daughter's birthday cake and brought it out to us with candles lit at the end, along with plates and forks. 10/10 would recommend.

We came to the Badgers Sett for a date night evening meal. What a beautiful place to eat. Such a lovely vibe, open fire, cosy yet modern feel. Exceptionally clean. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best we have ever tasted. I had a veggie starter and main, cooked perfectly. My Partner had skewers and flatbread. delicious. Highly recommended, and we will definitely go again and will be booking a table as soon as we can.

I had fish and chips. The chips were over cooked and very dry. The fish was cooked well, but the batter kept sliding off the fish, making it hard to eat the two together, and the mushy peas were like those out of a tin. I was disappointed with this meal.

Amazing beer garden. Perfect place to come after a walk around the Bradgate park with your doggies and family ! Great Sunday lunch be back again for sure !
