Foods always amazing as well as great service

The food is always wonderful at Badger’s Sett and we are repeat customers. We sat by the wood fire tonight (so warm and cosy!). Our experience this evening was made all the better thanks to the ever-cheerful Chloe who served us. She made sure we wanted for nothing! Definitely stop here if you are in the area and fancy some hearty, well-cooked pub food in a lovely atmosphere.

A delightful evening filled with excellent food. Chloe and the gentleman who served us were wonderful. A really friendly atmosphere with the tasteful decor and open fire. Very cosy on a rainy Friday evening.

Visited today at lunchtime, four adults and two children. Staff are all very friendly and welcoming, my granddaughters loved it! Considering how busy it seemed they need congratulating on how calm and professional they all were. Cozy log fires and warm atmosphere too. We have visited several times before, with a four legged friend, and have never been disappointed. Great place for a lunch, thank you all very much.

Came here for Sunday dinner and sadly quite dissapointed. The meals took an age to come out which to be fair we didn't mind hoping for a top quality meal. When the food eventually arrived sadly although presented very well the food was at best tepid and at £22 per meal not including side dishes I expected a hot meal. The meats were very nice but not hot added with the luke warm veg and topped with cold gravy sadly made the experience one to both forget and not repeat. To be fair to our server Thea when she came over to ask how things were when I told her the meals were cold she did immediatley offer to take them to get reheated and was very apologetic. After waiting so long to get our food though and not fancying my meal reheated in a microwave I declined the offer but will say your team member Thea was very professional. Had the food been hot and not taken so long to arrive at the table from ordering would have made the visit enjoyable but at over £110 for 3 meals and a couple of drinks sadly makes this my last visit to this pub.

We came to the Badgers Sett for a date night evening meal. Oh wow, what a beautiful place to eat. Such a lovely vibe, open fire, cosy yet modern feel. Exceptionally clean. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best we have ever tasted. I had a veggie starter and main, cooked perfectly. My Partner had skewers and flatbread. delicious. Highly recommended, and we will definitely go again.

Lovely evening, main meal was sparse in my opinion, BUT very tasty, (fishcakes) dessert (sticky toffee pud) imo should have been in a bowl when served with custard, not on a plate. We were served by Finn, very attentive, funny young man, advised us when we asked for preference on desserts Would i come back again - only on a special occasion 😉

Visited on a very busy Sunday lunchtime. They quickly found a table for us, the pub has a very cosy atmosphere, with wonderful food. Emily ensured we had a wonderful time.

Very happy with our meal and service. Food was lovely and lots to choose from on the menu. The only thing I feel could have helped was a little more space around the tables. We were a little cramped and I had to keep moving to let people get into another room , which was a little awkward has I have mobility issues. Other than that we were very happy and will return at some point. Thank you.

Not been here in a while but was pleased to see the same friendly faces waiting my table and presumably the same great chefs making my food, didn't get the name of the 2 young women with black hair who waited our table but considering it was a table of 4 (very hungry) people they both shown great hospitality, will definitely be back with the family after our next bimble through bradgate park 👍

Regularly come here - great friendly service and good quality food in the heart of Crospton. Right next to bradgate park and dog friendly - which is a bonus!

We had a delightful meal this evening and Billie was our server. She was very polite, helpful and learned that my niece is also called Billie and there aren’t many of them about! We both had chicken parmentier and a mini Bakewell tart with chai latte.

Went for a wedding anniversary lunch. The service was very good, the atmosphere pleasant we both enjoyed our choices. We will return.

Went for a meal with the fellas mum and dad as we missed them over Christmas. Service was on point! She was a new girl and very bubbly and chatty, made us feel very welcome. Orders were taken, and food came within half an hour, though we weren't really keeping an eye on the time. Everything was served well presented, and it all looked fab. Food was hot and tasty and we all enjoyed our meals. Only 2 negatives.... The desserts we ordered, 2 crumbles, weren't very hot, unfortunately. Why were there portable fan heaters everywhere? The pub was warm and cosy with an open fire blazing in the main dining area, so they seemed unnecessary. Other than those things, we can not fault the Badgers Sett and definitely recommend for families and friends to meet for casual but tasty dining!

As always badgers sett is superb. Perfect setting for a family meal on NYE with a teenager for something abit more special. The staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. Food was just 👌 I even changed my main choice after seeing the waitresses walking food around. I won a competition from Instagram. Thank you so much for picking me and still honouring it on nye. We had such a great experience at The Badgers Sett, from the welcome, to the atmosphere and the quality of food as well. The quality of the food was immaculate, and was so tasty! We even tried to get the beetroot hummus recipe as it was so good! Our mains were amazing, we had the Sunday trio and the pork belly, and would highly recommend either of these! Special shout out to our server Chloe, she was so bubbly and friendly, checked on us to make sure everything was okay, and even came to let us know our dishes were coming out next as there was a little bit of a wait (which was no problem as we could see it was busy!) We will definitely be back in January to take advantage of their new year offer, thank you for a lovely Sunday afternoon!

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good menu choice. Food was hot fresh & tasty. Service was a little slow but we didn’t mind , if you were in a hurry could be a little annoying. Our waitress was very polite, bubbly & helpful. Would eat here again & recommend to others.

They booked our breakfast for 10.30am but there was no continental breakfast items, very little juice. We waited ages for cooked breakfast and by the time we had finished all toast and tea and coffee was cleared away. You shouldn't book the time slot if you are not providing the food and service. We have come for last 4 years for pre Christmas family breakfast but we shall find somewhere else for next year. Very disappointed

Emily and Finn were lovely hosts, but the table was a little bit cold for sitting in the window alcove for a long period of time. Food was at the perfect temperature to eat as soon as it was served, which is also a plus. Nice tasty lunch.

Yet again a lovely Christmas lunch with the family. Staff were very helpful . Billie our waitress made sure we had everything we needed and was happy with everything.

Christmas 2024 having never been invited out for Christmas dinner before so when my granddaughter and her husband invited me I was very speculative about it, well there was no need to be what a amazing time we had at the Badgers Sett. We were treated to a lovely 3 course dinner which had a variety of options and the service was first class. Thank you to Leah and staff for a brilliant Christmas day x
