Fantastic little cafe!! Don’t normally write food reviews on TripAdvisor but considering the last 18months we’ve all had, I think more people need to pay RT’s a visit. Excellent food and great staff to go with it. Will definitely be back!!

My family have been using this takeaway for a while now as its the best takeaway we have had, the food is amazing and full of flavour, the staff are also very friendly and the food is well priced and very generous portion sizes. I would highly recommend. Madeleine

It's a shame it's no longer dog friendly. Which is the policy of the pub and not JB's. Each time we have been here, the food and service has been outstanding. Everything on the menu is stunning. We only go here for a pit stop when we take our dog for a walk, so unfortunately we will no longer go here again. If and when the pub owners change the policy, we'll run back.

Went for a lunchtime jazz session, great ale, great food , albeit cobs sausage rolls pork pies crisps they were excellent, staff very friendly, great atmosphere for chilling out!

Love the White Horse. Been coming for a few years now as its a nice walk across from the boatyard where I live. Always stop in on way back for a drink. Last night was the first night I ate there. Myself n partner chose burgers, he the Yankee burger, me the what came first burger, (Chicken breast in breadcrumbs with a crispy egg on top). Burgers were served with French fries and onion rings all very tasty. I left room for dessert, I had the frangipane and pear tart oooh my days can I have the recipe please?? . As desserts go it was yummy but not much to look at lol, but boy did it taste well. The only downside the fries got cold quick, maybe due to surface size, I always find fries get cool quick. Next time I'll eat them first lol. All washed down with a glass of NZ Cab Sauv. Defo need to try the food here again. The garden here is lovely and terraced with plenty of outside and under the sheltered area seating. They do quizzes here too. It's by the river in birstal and maybank holiday is a must, Duck race time.

Lovely food and lovely service let down by bland decor and a cold restaurant. Not sure if the heating wasn’t coping or it had not been put on as there were very few people in due to it being a Sunday. A shame as the dishes really were very tasty and there is very easy parking across the road in the carpark.

3 of us had food poisoning on friday night. Haven’t got out of bed since.

All very normal and well suited for a coffee break.

Best fish and chips ever. This family have been here for over 20 years they are experts in fish and chips. I know many people come here from a cross the city. I come from sileby and my brother from Enderby just to get them. Fa family lively and welcoming.

2 Years ordering from mas cottage. Words cannot express how much i enjoy my food from here.The spring rolls are crunchy and delicious. Noodles are cooked to perfection. However they are busy on the weekends and do have long time limits but that won’t affect your food. The wait is worth your while.

¿Qué le pasó a Lees de Birstall? Mi cena del domingo fue más china, se suponía que era un chow mein de Singapur. No fue bueno.

We usually enjoy our takeaways from here, tonight it was even more tasty than usual on the spice front, thumbs up there, but... I had the chilli salt ribs and thought I might break a tooth on them. Heavily over cooked, dry, hard, just nasty. Seemed like they were left over from 2 days ago, so I won't be ordering those again, or recommending them ever, a shame as I've had good ones before, so it spoilt a valentines takeout tonight. We don't eat out yet, so hoped we would get our usual good meal, so very very disappointed.

Trash af, pizza cold, put in in Air Fryer so it is better now hence 2*
