Me and my partner had the Costa Rica tasting menu it was fantastic, tasty and well presented. Each dish was full of flavours which made it hard to pick a favourite. Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Hopefully booking again soon with friends.

Absolutely delicious food & lovely staff. My family & I really enjoyed our food. The only reason I missed a star is because I think they missed off the parmesan in my Eggs Roma as I could not taste any but could taste it from a bite of my mums Shuffle Truffle monsieur. It was still rather tasty though but I do love my Italian cheese.

We four had lovely meal . Evry course was excellent.

Was lucky enough to eat at the JB Kitchen pop up restaurant at The Pharmacie Arms in Syston on Saturday evening. The first time I have visited The Parmacie Arms and I was very impressed - a friendly and welcoming micro pub with a range of great ales to choose from. Upstairs the food and service from JB Kitchen was nothing short of perfect. We had the goat's cheese bon bons and pork belly bites for starters and they were both phenomenal - so good we ordered extra to take away! For the main course we ordered the smashed beef and fried chicken tender burgers which were stacked with fresh lettuce and red onion and came with skin on fries and a creamy coleslaw - both burgers and sides were delicious and the choice of burger toppings meant you could individualise the meal for your taste - I opted for the peanut butter and jam, which gave the chicken burgers a satay style taste and did not disappoint. For pudding, the banoffee waffles and Biscoff Brownie were off the chart - sweet, indulgent and the perfect way to finish off one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Thank you to JB Kitchen and The Pharmacie Arms for a wonderful and memorable evening - can't wait to visit again very soon.

We have wanted to try this place for a while. We opted for a Sunday brunch Good menu, options available for vegetarians Reasonable prices I had avocado 🥑 on toasted muffins. Beautifully presented, I would have liked the avocado to be a little less mashed. It was just a bit too sloppy, so made the dish a bit too mushy. Nice, though. Hubby had a muffin stacked with sausage, and he enjoyed that. We will definitely go again and try their Sunday lunch.

Had an excellent breakfast here one morning so i decided to book a table to try the Italian tasting menu for my wife’s birthday and it was a great experience the food was outstanding with great attention to detail. The waiting staff were very friendly and informative about what we would be eating. Chef Jordan has created something very special in Birstall and I can’t wait to go back again soon ❤️

Came for a Japanese style taster menu. Presentation and service was fab but food was not that great, really wanted it to be but unfortunately won’t be returning

Sunday tapas today. A great selection for meat eaters and vegetarians. It was good to eat well cooked food that I would not cook myself. My 4 year old grandson loved trying everything too. It’s a classless, unpretentious place all about the food and there’s no “style over substance” which suits us. We will definitely be back

Sorry it was awful! After Jordan’s Tv appearance I already popped in for breakfast but this time I wanted to try his infamous Tasting menus as a treat. It was £70 for the meal and I left feel very disappointed and left wondering why I even bothered wasting my money. I appreciate Jordan’s work ethic but what I received was not worth my money and I only enjoyed 1 course! The rest was either unseasoned, thrown on the plate or brought from the local supermarket! I paid £70 and what was presented looked like pasta from a tin, no better than the ones you feed your fussy grandchildren in an emergency. My bread was an anemic looking thing which was stone cold and dry and I assume that’s because again it was brought from the shop. I had greasy meat blood running all over my plate and the meat was just too cooked for me to finish. On to dessert… what we got was 1 Miniscule meringue with little bits of some sort of overly sweet sponge and just dollops of sour passion fruit around the plate that didn’t even compliment. The rest of the dessert course was okay but not too much to rave about. I can’t write a review without shouting out to the waiting staff, they were superb and very accommodating despite the food leaving an awful taste. Might be back again for breakfast but I will leave the tasting menu for somewhere else because I don’t agree £70 is a fair price for what was served. Might have been a bad evening and everyone has bad days but you can’t go on tv, charge super premium prices and be serving things from the shop.

We attended the Nordic tasting eve last night and were absolutely blown away! The food was INCREDIBLE and the atmosphere was so relaxed and friendly. We booked this months ago and were looking forward to it. Unfortunately for me though i had a stressful life event happen in the week that left me without much of an appetite, so when it got to the 5th course I was struggling to finish but the staff saw that and instantly asked if I wanted to carry on or have the rest boxed. Having that offer was such a relief as it meant I could enjoy the last few courses later that eve when my anxiety had calmed and I wasn't missing out by trying to force myself to eat. Outstanding food, outstanding staff! Can't wait to return again 😋

Had lunch at JB Kitchen with my wife. Very friendly, welcoming staff, big portions, tasty food, and great value. We would love to return to do one of the evening tasting menus, they look great. Definitely recommend if here to check out this unassuming restaurant with a great chef. Would be nice if the restaurant had a website with their menus and an online reservation option.

Finally got round to going to Jordan's establishment with my partner for our joint birthday meal, and was certainly not disappointed. It was the Spanish taster meal experience, with about 9 plates of traditional Spanish food elevated to a fine dining experience and served in small portions in succession. Absolutely superb. We have travelled and eaten a lot in Spain and it's clear that Jordan knows his stuff about a wide range of cuisines. It was great being able to watch him at work, switching between friendly customer service then back in the zone effortlessly. The staff were also superb and really friendly. My partner has a nut allergy and they dealt with this with no fuss whatsoever. I understand they have been recommended for a number of awards and would thoroughly agree with this. Looking forward to going back again soon. Well done guys.

My partner and I had the Valentine’s Day meal which was a starter of Camembert with baked breads & chutney. A main of a 1.1kg tomahawk steak with dauphinoise potatoes and veg! And chocolate covered strawberry’s and profiteroles for desert. I knew it was doing to be delicious before having it but it was bang on. The quality of the food was amazing, seasoned to perfection. Easily One of the best meals we have had and I 100% recommend to anyone, you won’t be disappointed and thank you so much to JB kitchen for making our valentines meal so special ☺️

Great food - we went for breakfast. Lovely waitress. Only slight negative was a lack of dairy free milk and vegan options for one of the party and not very warm in the restaurant.

I was so impressed with this place! The menu sounded incredible, providing a great variety, the food was presented really well, and tasted even better. The quality of the food also looked great and the staff were really friendly. For the quality of what they provide against the price, just wow, I would have happily paid more. Amazing job to Jordan and the team, keep it up, I'll surely be recommending this place and popping in with the partner to sample the rest of the menu.

They say not to judge a book by it's cover and this certainly rings true for JB Kitchen. Nestled on a residential road you could easily mistake it for a run of the mill cafe but you couldn't be more wrong. Stepping through the door you are greeted by an intimate but welcoming dining space with an open view into the kitchen. We were welcomed and shown to our table and the menus explained. Chef sent out some delicious canapés as we made our choices. We went for the casual dining over the tasting menu and I opted for the prawn ravioli to start followed by a rack of lamb. The portions were absolutely spot on (though I would have happily eaten the ravioli as a main!). The lamb came out beautifully pink with the fat perfectly rendered and crispy. Being sat next to the kitchen I was treated to seeing every dish leaving and I will 100% be back as it all looked stunning! Thank you JB Kitchen for a lovely Saturday evening.

This place is a hidden gem, I'd recommend everyone to go and eat there. The food quality is excellent and the menu is varied. Service is great and it's always popular so the atmosphere is good.

Dined at JB kitchen tonight for their 5 star final menu. Lovely food on par with London restaurants (eaten at Ramsays a few times). The beef wagu main was amazing. Friendly staff & nice atmosphere. So lucky to have this restaurant on our doorstep. Will definately be back!

We were treated to a visit by my son. When we got there we had the whole place to ourselves, as arranged, the food was amazing, the sticky toffee pudding and coffee and walnut cake was the best ever. It was that good we have booked to come for an afternoon tea. Jordan is a lovely lad and deserves to go far on his journey. We cannot praise him enough in the time he took to speak to us and make us feel welcome

Lovely brunch this morning - meals delicious, friendly service and good prices.

We have just enjoyed an absolutely amazing dining experience at JB Kitchen. The smell of other diners and our food being cooked was mouth watering. The quality and standard of our dishes (mains and desert) are what you would expect in high-end London eateries. Watching head chef Jordan at work was a real pleasure to behold and the front of house team on point. Every mouthfull of our meal was savoured and enjoyed, with taste to egnight the taste buds to new levels. The pudding just took us back to our childhoods with chocolate, Cherry, and popping candy. The only downside is that I want to go back tomorrow if I could. "So glad He is staying in Leicester for a little while longer so we can enjoy it again." It's been a absolute pleasure to see JBs Kitchen come through lockdown providing restaurant quality food to your door, to now have a beautiful little restaurant, an amazing team and recognition for Jordans Cooking from Michel Roux Jnr on Britain's Next best chef in Five Star Kitchen. Lovely little cafe tucked away at the back of the village. Went on a recommendation and we weren't disappointed, the breakfast was excellent. The one thing stopping a 5 star review was the time it took to actually get our food but the waitress was really lovely and they knocked off the drinks from the bill by way of compensation. In terms of atmosphere, the place was rather echoey which meant that the six patrons rather loud patrons at the next table seemed to be amplified to an annoying level. Definitely going back when we're in that part of the world again.

An outstanding experience, if you are looking for an eating adventure with some incredible staff guiding you through it then go here. The food was simple yet elegant with some really clever things done, the setting was intimate without feeling crowded and the staff were brilliant.

Visited on Saturday for brunch, I brunch out a lot and oh my word this is the best by far !!! I had the Truffle Shuffle Monsieur the presentation and flavours just amazing. My friend had the Eggs Roma which she really enjoyed too. Will be back to try lunch. I live in Oadby definitely worth the trip over.

Dinner The Royal Tasting Menu When we saw this menu, it looked so tempting we just had to try it. We didn't know what to expect really from a tasting menu at the incredible value price of £50. Let's just say it exceeded all expectations. Every dish was very well executed. The Jersey Royals with caviar were reminiscent of a certain Michelin star restaurant we have visited. Chicken lollipop with Tikka masala was so tasty we could have eaten a bucket of them. Scallops were cooked to perfection. Now, for the Beef Wellington 'deconstructed' is the word maybe. Which we've never had it served like this before. There are all the elements without all the pastry smothering the best bit, the beef. It was different, and we loved it. Desserts were just as good. Our favourite out of the two would be the apple crumble with Custard. It was so worth the journey, and such a lovely evening. Staff were very attentive, and the service was spot on. It's also a Bring your own, so there's nothing more to pay unless you want a coffee and service, of course.

Just had 2 bacon sandwiches that were the best I've ever had and I have eaten a few over the years. They are not scared to put the filling in unlike a lot of places I have used over time. I also purchased a sausage roll that was so tasty and big enough to stop my van rolling down the road. Excellent staff and service, will definitely use again. GM Property Services

Came here last night with my parents for a celebration dinner. Me and my Dad ordered the 6 course chef's tasting menu £35, and Mum had the 9 course at £45. We both sampled the other dishes included in her 9 course as we were curious and they looked delicious... I'm not exaggerating when I say we were wowed by each dish - 10/10 consistently. Everything was cooked beautifully, we couldn't fault it at all. When reading the menu, some of the combinations of ingredients or flavours seemed slightly unusual, but they just worked perfectly together. Real talent and expertise from the chef here, and it was incredible value for money, too! We will definitely be going again and telling our friends about this experience.

First time trying the tasting menu at JB kitchen and it won't be the last. Spanish themed and from the appetizers to Spanish treats it was all excellent. The Cod and Beef cheek were the stand outs. Highly recommended and very good value compared to equivalent places.

Unbelievable value. Enjoyed the 9 course tasting menu here last week - for the princely sum off £45! Lovely food, and big portions for a tasting menu, it was more like having 9 starters. Also, with it being 'bring your own' - the drinks bill was Zero. If you want amazing food, but don't want to pay top restaurant prices, this is your place. Will definitely be spreading the word.

It's been on the list of places to go for a while, and now it is definitely on the list of places to recommend. My wife and I had a great brunch at JB Kitchens. Both orders were very tasty - Bacon and Egg French Toast and the Ham, Mushroom, and Truffle dish (I forget its name). There are plenty of interesting options to choose from. There's no need to travel into town for a great breakfast spot now that it's on the doorstep! A Kai Killer? Perhaps. I look forward to experiencing the tasting menu soon. The slight negative is that it felt quite cold inside, and the hot drinks were just okay. Parking around the area shouldn't be a problem either.

We had a fantastic evening at JB Kitchen from the minute we walked in the experience was faultless. I would highly recommend you give it a try.
