China Red in Charnwood

We usually enjoy our takeaways from here, tonight it was even more tasty than usual on the spice front, thumbs up there, but... I had the chilli salt ribs and thought I might break a tooth on them. Heavily over cooked, dry, hard, just nasty. Seemed like they were left over from 2 days ago, so I won't be ordering those again, or recommending them ever, a shame as I've had good ones before, so it spoilt a valentines takeout tonight. We don't eat out yet, so hoped we would get our usual good meal, so very very disappointed.

Sorry no taste, poor food. Can't recommend to anyone Had to throw food in the bin would not buy again. Waste of money

We use china red on a delivery basis up to twice a month and food is always lovely and delivery driver is very polite. Sadly tonight our starter was not sent,when i phoned i was told how sorry they were and it would be with me within 15 minutes...we waited and waited...27 minutes later our food was cold however our starter and another apology was delivered. As regulars i would have thought a complementary dish would have been sent,an extra spring roll for example for the inconveniance as we have been regulars for a long time. Disapointed tonight.

That was kinda lit tho I rate the food that I ate 10/10 would go again don’t know where this bad boy has been all my life

Used this takeaway a few times, this was our first delivered one though. Arrived earlier than expected. We aren't in the easiest place to find, but it was no problem. As always, in our experience, a fabulous meal, tasty, still hot even delivered further afield, and we walked it along the canal too. Mini spring rolls, china red special satay, fried rice and singapore rice, all excellent!

We ordered for the first time today..food was delivered on time but we had to re heat it it was only luke warm but the food was really nice.

As per title... I've used this place for a while now, consistently good food and the staff on the phone are always very nice. Food usually arrives quickly and is piping hot, but, the driver is a bit of a misery 😊

We only started getting food from here a year ago and it was the best thing we have ever stumbled across. The chilli chips and the chilli salted crispy chicken is a good combination and we have it every time. Starters is the chicken in satay sauce and mini spring rolls(the best) and the mixed veg chow mein is so simple but so beautiful! You must try this place.

So different to last time which had been great. I got home starving and when it arrived the duck with pineapple was not as duck is normally cooked, huge pineapple chunks, dried out fried rice and chow mein. A few bites and straight in the bin. Complete waste of money.

Had a great takeaway from here, food was hot,on time (we had it delivered) and plenty to choose from on the menu-highly recommended

i ordered food after reading on line menu. A very good choice. meal for 2 looked good value. we ordered several dishes for home delivery. we were told 30 mins it arrived well within that time everything very hot ,tasty, good portions, will definitely order again

We used to have an exceptional Chinese take away in the area which sadly spoilt us. That has been taken over this year and is pretty awful. Therefore, we tried this one which is quite new. The ordering process is simple and very polite, delivery is quite quick and prices are OK. The choice of menu is large and there are some variations I have not seen before which is great. The portions are good, food arrives hot and well cooked, it is tasty and really enjoyable. The only reason I have not given it 5 is because the 'old' one was exceptional. However, if the next couple of meals continue like this a 5 may be in the offing.
