Another fantastic visit to The Blacksmiths Arms. Enjoyed a great Sunday Lunch. The team are great, always attentive and made sure our visit was superb. Been a few times and have never been disappointed. Keep up the great work and we look forward to coming back again.

Fantastic food!! The only gripe is they struggled to feed all our group of 20ish of us. Some had to wait 30/40mins to even order. Not sure why they couldn't take the orders and just say they'd be a 30minute wait.

Great , beer and Indian food what’s not to like ❤️, very loud in the bar though but other seating options available. Will revisit soon 👌🏻👍

Like most families we can't all agree on just one type of Saturday night takeaway, so normally have to order from different local shops. So the plan was to, order the kebab, pick up my daughter from work at 20.00 and get the pizza delivered, for shortly after we were due to arrive home. Arrived at the kebab shop 19.40 to find a queue of people, which wasn't problem as I gone early, as I couldn't get an answer when trying to order the food on the telephone. When I got served was told it would be around 15-20 minute wait and shortly after my order was taken I could see what looked like my order being put onto the grill, as I heard them talking about keeping the burger separate from the bun & salad, which is how I had ordered the burger. So I then texted my daughter who works 2 mins drive from home, to order the pizza to be delivered around 10 mins after I should have arrived. But whilst waiting, customers were starting to ask about their orders, due to how long it was taking to get their food. Which I could see why, as I had now been waiting for my food for over 30 mins, and I had my daughter keep texting me, as she was still waiting to be picked up. A burger came off the grill and the girl reminded them to keep it separate, so I thought my order was now being prepared, which it wasn't has the kebabs were given to other customers instead and the burger was left on the side. Finally my kebabs were boxed up for only for my order to be then left behind the counter whilst I waited and waited, this was because the staff kept taking phones calls and speaking to each other about other late orders. I then had to ask tgem if I could have my order, as I was already late picking up my daughter and I had been waiting for 45 mins. Finally got home to find a cold pizza waiting, as this had been delivered on time and my daughter's kebab being the wrong one. I had asked for a large plain chicken but got spicy chicken instead. So both my daughters were now unhappy with having to wait so long, having to reheat the pizza in the microwave and having the wrong kebab. Which ended up with both my daughters leaving their food and us all having a spoilt Saturday night takeaway. This could have been easy avoided if the staff & owners had been honest about being over busy and how long it would actually take to get the orders ready.

I know I work for a sister pub, this is a non bias review. The food was amazing, service exceptional! So lucky to have this restaurant/bar in our village. Ty everyone for a lovely night x

Excellent fish and chips great value for money was very impressed friendly staff it was so good I visited twice during my stay in the area will definitely visit again

We had a lovely Sunday lunch, all four of us enjoyed our meals. Nice large portions and perfectly cooked food. Good selection of drinks available and the staff were very attentive and friendly. It's an ideal setting next to the river. There was a DJ playing in the garden, and there were a lot of live music events advertised for forthcoming weekends so we will definitely come back again.

Great service and great food! Tofu in black bean sauce was really tasty :)

I just popped in here for a pint after a long walk. Very good barman, excellent ham cob for only £2.50! The regulars were really friendly and helpful too.

We always like the pub but we were disappointed with the food. We had a Veg curry which was only warm and a small portion....

Food arrived 50 minutes later (21:10) than the given estimated delivery time (20:20.) No apology, no compensation, no explanation. Terrible.
