New Great Wall Chinese Takeaway in Charnwood

Food arrived 50 minutes later (21:10) than the given estimated delivery time (20:20.) No apology, no compensation, no explanation. Terrible.

Was giving a second chance as last order took 2 hours to arrive, this one was 1.5 hours. One of the boxes was open so had leaked sauce everywhere and my ghast was flabbered when the crispy seaweed we had ordered was a packet from Costco! Food is average but ok but won’t order again after this

Delivery from just eat over 1hr late, we had to contact them twice to find out where it was, no communication and nothing on the app saying it may be delayed. Food was hot when it came though.

Ordered on just eat and it was over an hour late, not good enough when there are enough decent Chinese takeaways around it needs to be better than this

Tasty Chinese. We were visiting the area and felt the prices were very high (but I'm not sure if thats just this chinesenor general for the area). Food was 20mins late, phonecall would have been nice. Food was still quite warm though. Most dishes tasted fresh and well cooked, the chicken balls were all soft and soggy so I certainly wouldn't order them again.

Apparently recently taken over, and a massive jump in price. We didn't realise we were ordering from the 'old' menu (£36) until the delivery driver said the prices had changed (£47). Still the same sauces and sundries purchased from the same cash and carry, so it's not as if the quality has improved. Time for us to try somewhere else it seems...

I've never had a bad meal from you alway hot and on time.

I ordered from the website. When delivered 2 of the dishes where missing, so gave them a call. What I wasn't expecting was to be called a liar and have the phone put down on me. So I walked round with the food that had been delivered and asked for a full refund. After a few minutes of explaining I was not happy with how I was treated I got my money back, and popped in to Orient house on my way home.

Always great food and quick delivery

Took an hour and half to be delivered, I had to put the chips in the fryer cuz they wasn’t cooked. When we managed to sit down to eat the food, it was so greasy that we just couldn’t eat more then a few mouthfuls. It all ended up in the dogs bowls n even they didn’t want it.... never again!!

Their food is delicious, freshly prepared and very impressed. Affordable price and great value for money. Can recommend them for anyone. If you try once definitely you will love it. Great menu choices from 'GREAT WALL CHINESE RESTAURANT, SILEBY'. Cheers :-)

I order from here at least three - four times a month. Has the best food and everything is cooked perfectly. Tastes great , reasonable prices! My favourite take away !!! never disappoints....

I have been ordering Chinese for sometime now, and for the first time I have ordered from Great Wall on a friend's recommendations. The food is excellent! It's the best Chinese I've had since I've started ordering Chinese. Luxury and great taste every mouthful!! Worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Disgusting food,called for a partial refund and said no because I had tried even one mouthful. Owners arguing in the background about what to say. Of course I've had a mouthful, how will I know if it's okay. Greedy business who don't care about their customers, who wouldn't even come and take the food away as proof we hadn't eaten it!

Ordered a house special curry and rice and got 4 boxes of dry rice. Nice one.

Really rank, mushy/starchy rice. Also they failed to deliver the full order, but that doesn't matter because it all went in the bin anyway... Felt too risky to eat, didn't want to chance poisoning awful stuff

absolutely vile ordered once but never again the meat we had certainly didn't taste like it should of was so hungry but ate a little bit then felt like throwing up after will stick to my usual Chinese in future that's if I can ever face Chinese food again 🤢🤢🤢

Ordered using just eat, they waited 35 minutes before cancelling the delivery with no explanation. Cheers for that.

I ordered from here. Absolutely brilliant, love the food and the price is reasonable. Would definitely recommend it. The delivery service used to be bad but now they swapped it so the food is here much more faster, with a better attitude. Overall, lovely place to order from. Definitely recommend their salt and spicy squid.

Great food. Quick service if you go in and wait. Wouldn't go anywhere else locally. Salt and Pepper squid is the best around.

AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID Absolutely disgusting service. Delivery driver handed me food in a bag, the handles on the bag split apart. The food dropped all over the floor, the driver got on his hands and knees and was scooping the food off the floor, with his hands that touched the floor also, told me not to worry about the rest of the food on the floor, He then said if I didn't want it then don't have it and laughed, we rang the restaurant who just didn't care at all, hung up on me, told me replacement food will take 2 hours! Avoid this place like the plague, never do I want to see that disgusting delivery driver again in my life. If you want decent Chinese then order from Pearl City in barrow, can't fault them, but are closed on a Monday unfortunately, This was the only reason we ordered from the Great Wall this evening.
