The best restaurants in East Midlands

We stumbled across this gorgeous little cafe when our intended cafe was too full to accommodate us. It’s lovely, I liked the interiors and the staff were friendly. My coffee was lovely (although a little hotter than I’m used to). I had the Cherry Bakewell cake and that was lovely, full of flavour and very sweet, gluten free too if I remember rightly. Cute little find.

We get recommendation about that place from Helen, our AirBnb accommodation host. Lovely team, amazing coffee, with nice and chill music in background. Fully recommend! 😁

Finale accommodated 5 of us at short notice and served us all with wonderful fresh made meals. We just keep coming back for more great food, well presented and served politely.

Stopped here on our way home from Worcestershire, as we prefer helping local businesses, rather than motorway services. Set in a quiet location. Very popular with the locals. Great selection of food, even for a vegetarian. I had the risotto & the homemade apple crumble & custard. Absolutely delicious. Well staffed for a small tearoom. Good prices for a tearoom. They have a great rapport with locals & knew them by name. Would advise reserving if possible. It was busy, even on a Wednesday morning. Would stop again if passing this way. Only 6 minutes off the A14.

This very unassuming place is golden - we popped in after seeing Darlaston play Harborough yesterday and were looking for somewhere cosy to watch the West Ham vs Man City game. The locals were amazing, welcomed us like old friends and the lovely guy behind the bar was polite and professional. It's a very cosy place to watch football - they don't serve food on Saturday night but they do serve on a Sunday for lunch, which was a bit of a shame as we didn't want to leave. There's a fish and chip shop a few doors down and one of the footy guys said we'd probably be able to eat that in the pub. I can't thank the pub for being so lovely and their locals, I say this a lot, it's very rare to experience this and I really recommend this place if you're in the area and near the football ground, rather than going into town.

Great choice for lunch out. After a pleasant walk through the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire, we stopped for lunch and so glad we did. A wide choice of dishes hot and cold from salads to mezes to traditional burgers, plus lots, lots more including suitable choices of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. I opted for the delicious chicken with tagliatelle. A generous helping. Good range of drinks from typical traditional ales to cocktails and wines, plus many non-alcoholic alternatives. Or simply coffee or tea. Overall, a pleasant lunch in a beautiful Derbyshire village.

Having been before and enjoying the food was bitterly disappointed last time we went only two sunday lunches left on a Sunday at 12.15 so decide to have one couldn't chew the beef everything else seemed as if had just been warmed up in the microwave.The pub itself is lovely and the staff are very pleasant.

Spent a couple of nights on the camp field. Nice and clean amenities. Good friendly hosts Will visit again.

I mean my flatwhite was goooodd, such a nice place. Worth a visit.

Today 10/8/2024 we were on our way to Mablethorpe to enjoy a family holiday and some time out after my husband sadly losing his beloved grandma 4 weeks prior. We unfortunately broke down just outside of Lincoln, luckily we were fixed by the AA back on the road within a couple of hours. Great we thought! not 32 miles later the car breaks down AGAIN! Luckily for us, just outside the lovely Bambarinos Italian restaurant! What was an extremely stressful day was made to feel a little bit easier by the kind and generous people here! Giving myself and hubby tea and coffee and my children pizza and chips free of charge. Thank you so much, it’s nice to know there’s still kind and genuine people in the world. Everything you could ask for whether it be breakfast, lunch or coffee. Fantastic service, quality food and the perfect spot.

Absolutely outstanding. Was served by a lady called jade who was very friendly and was very attentive to our needs (allergy in the family). Beautiful tranquil Place no matter what the weather :)
