Staff wiped table leaving old food . Only seat available was next to a smelly bin, sausage tasted disgusting, and made me feel ill. Staff spilt fluid over me,.. never again. The truck stop is nearby it was 1000 times better, and could definately teach this joke of a cafe a lot.

Went to the Ropers with friends ..our first visit. Situated along the River in Horncastle Road Boston, The Ropers is an old pub now converted into an Italian Bistro. The manager was very friendly, and welcoming., and offered us home made crisps which were so delicous. Sadly my meal didnāt live up to the high expectation l had. My tempura prawns were all batter and hardly any prawn..not very nice at all.My chicken in mushroom main coarse was quite tough as Infact was my wifeās steak. Sadly a rather disappointing visit.

Food was quite good, however we felt rushed during the whole experience from ordering to paying the bill. We had 3 starters to share and they started collecting our plates when we weren't finished with one of the dishes, we were asked if we were ready for our mains 3-4 times from different staff even though we had already responded... we kept having our meal and conversation 'interrupted' when again 3-4 different staff came to ask if everything was ok, and the same when we had finished our meals, we were asked if we were ready for the bill, this was probably an hour before the closing time. It would have been a better experience if the service was more organised and if they had a dedicated staff to manage a table...

My first ever visit to the Spread Eagle. Never had any food but the draught Bass was first class! Service was exemplary. We sat outside in beautiful sunshine. An excellent pub! Highly recommended! Definitely will be back to sample the food menu.

Afternoon tea wow. Three well filled sandwiches each, ham and mustard, cheese and pickle and egg, crisps, salad, coleslaw. Big fat slice of St Clements cake, scone, jam and clotted cream, shortbread caramel covered in chocolate and enough tea to sink a ship. Bargain at Ā£16.95 a head. Would definitely go again. You won't need an evening meal š

We're visiting from Leigh-on-Sea and staying in a local airbnb. Our host recommended this restaurant, and she wasn't wrong. We were welcomed by I presume the owner, and he was fun from the start. The food was delicious and served by 2 lovely girls. I can't fault this restaurant it's a proper old-fashioned Indian restaurant as we used to get down South with a free drink after the meal and a cobra with a takeaway. Just lovely! Don't stop what you're doing it works ....thankyou š
