Costa Coffee in Mansfield

Called in Monday 20th January, early morning - coffee and sandwich. We caught it not busy , the Young Lady who served us was brilliant , friendly, polite and professional, me and wife both agreed,she just stood out - she even Brought our coffee over to the table. Class service ( she neetto be recognised for her customer service) time was approx 9am shift

This is our local Costa, we’ve been going for 3 years and always rated it. Unfortunately, in the past 6 months or so it has really gone downhill. They regularly run out of decaf now which has never been an issue before, and the cakes are 8 times out of 10 so stale I have no idea how they are being sold that way. I wouldn’t ever eat cakes that stale, never mind sell them. Really shocked the staff don’t notice when they pick them up to plate them, and I’d like to know how many days they left out for. When bringing this up sitting in the staff have always been helpful and offered me other bakes but there’s little to be done at the drive thru.

Not my favourite Costa coffee shop. Firstly, 90% of the tables wobble. They know this as they clean them, sometimes. I see customers struggling with the tables so they must too. Do they do anything about it ? Nope ... My cake recently was stale and hard. Almost £3 for a cup of tea is just far too much. The greed is forcing customers away. When you ask for extra-hot you get luke warm, other coffee shops give you a hot drink so why not this one? Cups are not always filled, and twice now on an order they have used my free bean on my cheapest drink and made me pay for the expensive one! I'm aborting all coffee shops come Jan 1st 2025. It's just not worth the cost anymore.

Came in with family for a treat. Drinks lovely although disappointed sprinkles were not offered on the chocolate orange as did not have cream. Cakes ordered was a Billionaire from the Christmas range was given the Millionaire instead. As an employee from a different store the customer service was very disappointing --got told I could either have my points on my costa card (which belonged to my Dad) or my staff discount not both. Not a very warm welcome compared to multiple stores I have visited over the UK.

Realised after I'd started it that I was given millionaire's caramel slice instead of ordered billionaire's square. Should have complained but didn't.

Have always struggled to fin a Costa that makes really nice coffee but this location exceeds expectations! The pannini was nice but a bit disappointing with no whole slices of tomato like there used to be.

This branch has useful opening times. So many begin closing up half way through Saturday afternoon - but not here. Able to sit outside with dog and watch the world go by. Not the fastest service, but the toastie was hot (as was the coffee). In my book a bit of waiting is worth not being cleaned around!

Do they actually know how to let a blended iced frappe run to the end of the mixing cycle, frappe was undrinkable through a straw, there was that many chunks of ice, it went in the bin, tasted completely wrong. I been 4 times for the same coffee frappe and been given 4; completely different drinks, 1 was actually chocolate when I got home, .Never again, I'll try a different Costa from now on

Staff encountered this morning were shocking. Unhelpful and for cost me five pounds more expensive than it should have been. The lady serving me actually laughed when I questioned the price. Will not be returning. Sad as most of the staff seem helpful and approachable on previous visits

I Reay love Costa flavour Value for money. Especially if you take own mug.

Nice food but slightly long and crammed queues. Atmosphere is good compared to other costas.

Dirtiest costa I've been in. Nearly every table was full of pots which I could understand if it was busy, but it wasn't. Staff very disinterested and there was more coffee in piles on the floor behind the counter that would easily have done a full day's worth of coffee for everyone. Food was dry and substandard with a premium price to top it off. Quite easily the filthiest disorganised, disinterested Costa shop in the company.

Foid and coffee was good, the toilets were disgustingly dirty and really no excuse as the place wasn't busy and also not really very hygienic when directly off the dining area

I use the drive through most days, getting mostly the same order. The staff are friendly and helpful, there has been a few odd occasions where things have been missed out of my latte but when addressed it has been immediately resolved, no problems! Two people in particular stand out, Izzy and Kirsty! They are so polite, remember regular orders and always greet you with a smile! plus they do make the best tasting drinks, in my opinion :) This is not taking anything away from all of the staffs wonderful attitude and talent for making great coffee :)

Lovely coffee but the price of the food is absolutely insane

Absolutely first class service, always take Costa cups bought years ago, they just then got us, I love love love their coffee

This shop also has a very joyful server that likes to sing & joke along.

It's a nice clean Costa in a great spot. Service ok. Easy place to park and grab a drink. Obviously was too pricey....but they all are.

For a modern build in basically an industrial setting it was / is really nice. The staff are an asset.

Tried to charge £2.55 to add coffee shot(a) to Frappe that’s already £4.95. So £7.50 for a medium Frappe what the fudge?

Staff are cheerful and always friendly. Been coming here since it opened very friendly staff and I think they all know me now lol. Mostly Mondays but had a treat tonight caramel apple tart absolutely amazing 👏

1st time visit. The food was really good, the place was full so we ate outside & was lovely. Good food & good prices.

Popped in for a coffee & a tea. Friendly service, good atmosphere & although near lunchtime there were tables free but a constant customers coming & going. Will recommend.

Lovely staff very friendly and helpful

I am not sure if the Costa people ever tasted real coffee as their brew is rather poor. Americano? hot brown tasteless water at best. The turkey sandwich 🥪 was good but again, coffee, no thanks.

Use the drive through regularly on my way to work. Staff always polite, helpful with fast service. Food and drinks delicious. Always look forward to returning.

Met a colleague here for a meeting. The venue was really grubby and in need of a good clean. Very dusty and dirty. Not what you would expect from Costa.

I have come here for the last 2 years and find it the most presentable,clean and friendly place out of all the Costas in mansfield.the manager is amazing. He needs to own his own costas

Costa can't toast bread on both sides. And it's hard to find a hand crafted cappuccino. We've been to loads of them, and it's always the same. I've complained often, but it still remains the same. Chris.

You always know what you're going to get at Costa, helpful staff, pleasant seating and surrounds, and nice coffee. Tried the bacon roll and coffee special, a great deal. This is just outside the village, nice to pop in on the way back from the supermarket. Extra bonus, I used the app and got a free coffee.

Coffee was very good. Service was a bit indifferent. I wish they had time/ commitment to clear tables. Atmosphere was ok.

Worst Costa. Cappuccino had no frothy milk so wasn't a cappuccino yet server asked if I wanted chocolate on my cap so he obviously thought he had made a cap. served on a dirty tray with large coffee spill in the middle, had to ask twice for sauce and a knife, no napkins. Going downhill fast. Staff need training

This is definitely my favourite costa to visit. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming I consider all of them my friends because of how lovely they all are. Drive-thru or sitting in - they go above and beyond. I visit most days. 💞💞💞

I’m in here now and it’s absolutely rammed because the drive thru is shut but the staff are handling it brilliantly. Great customer service with a smile from Jack on the counter. Brilliant place. Give them all a pay rise! Fantastic customer service. Shaun

Rarely have the regular caramel syrup, usually only have the sugar free one which has a horrible taste. If you always run out of the regular why not start ordering more? Sometimes the staff do tell you they only have sugar free so I change my order but sometimes they just put it in and it runs the taste

This place not been open that long but this my first visit!!! Even tho it's my closest😝 Great shop, just been erected on a corner of field/wasteland and utilitises it well, just keep focused on traffic!!! Great staff, friendly Another visit on the cards soon.....

Pleasent staff butTimings out of sync food ready quickly but then long wait for drinks by which time food is cold, and drive through appears to take priority.

The best customer service in Mansfield, 1030 on a Saturday morning and the girl on the speaker was so lovely. The lad working the window was just as nice too showing some top salesmen skills. 10/10 would come again just for the customer service.

Unfortunately cost seem to be slipping . Toilets are disgusting. Dust on lamp shades . Looks like they have never been cleaned since opening. Although staff were pleasant. So I can only assume it's down to cut backs on cleaning products and cleaning staff . Similarly problem with the one in the town centre in Mansfield. Thst one I wouldnt even go in .

The staff are wonderful, learn your order very quickly so as a regular it's a very happy and efficient service which pleases those of us with limited time etc. Ps make sure there is always a piece of cheesecake reserved for me, else I'll make this 4 stars 😅✌🏼
