Rushley in Mansfield

Food was what we ordered. Nothing extraordinary but very tasty. Service was excellent. I requested a table in a quiet spot due to members of the party having dementia. The table was perfect. All the party enjoyed their visit without being overwhelmed with too much going on around them.

Lovely and clean, bright environment

Friendly and efficient service from Tayla, would recommend the pub and the staff.

Very accommodating for a large party. Clean and calm atmosphere. Loved sitting by the window to see the kids from our party playing safely in the park. Only thing that could have been better is if kids meals and puddings could come out before the adults as there was a wait between bringing them all out. Also be nice to be aware of substitutions of stock, kids expecting strawberries got pineapple and if we was made aware we’d have said leave them off. We forgot candles for the cake and you provided them for us so we was ever so grateful thank you! Overall was a really lovely night, we left very happy.

Food was absolutely amazing and 100% worth the price. Staff are super friendly and overall environment was really welcoming and cosy.

Turned up for a Sunday Roast. Tried to order on the scan QR, didn’t work. Advised bar lady, who didn’t seem bothered. Anyway, tried to order Sunday roast. All sold out. Had the displeasure of waiting 40 minutes, still no food or any update. Went & asked. Waited further 10 mins - despite not being busy. Then served with undercooked pie, half a portion of chips by a waitress that didn’t even be able to speak let alone provide any level of front of house service. Worst thing, we had 30-% off voucher & even with that we won’t ever return. Disappointing all round. Staff all need some training in how to provide basic friendly service. Can see why this pub is struggling, sadly.

If I was the manager of this pub I'd be embarrassed. 2 staff on for a wake and in Easter holidays?? Lovely Lisa who was off shift came to help serve as the bar queue was massive and Super Steph the Chef, also off shift, got our food order out the kitchen after the bell was rang 5 times. Got a refund for our food after over an hour wait, the food was delicious, what a shame management can't fork out to pay minimum wage for another member of staff behind the bar. The new app doesn't work and the 30% mains voucher didn't work either - rather embarrassing The Rushley! Lucky for you you have Steph and Lisa.

Food was lovely, All of it. Table if 7 and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Only reason I voted 3 for atmosphere is that there wasn’t any music. We were entertained by our own group, don’t didn’t bother us too much but it was mentioned. Staff were lovely, very helpful, the lady waiting on with the funky specks and pigtails was great sorry I didn’t catch your name. Sheldon at the bar and taking food orders was very helpful with food choices. He clearly knew the menu very well.

The staff were really lovely however the function room that we were in had no heating on until the last few minutes. We were all very cold. Then at 9pm the speakers came on when the quiz started

Had a cheese and beans topped jacket potato. If there was a teaspoon of baked beans I’d be over-estimating.

The food we pre booked as we were a large party but that didn't phase the staff. Food came out quickly and was lovely. Everyone enjoyed their meal, even the little ones had clean plates. We all left with full stomach's. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. My whole experience was extremely positive. I would recommend them to all my friends and shall definitely come again! What a hidden gem!!!

My son treated me and his dad to a big breakfast and it was very filling and delicious. We all ate every last bit. The people who served us, Lisa and Rachel were extremely helpful, friendly and polite. I highly recommend anyone to go and have a meal or even a drink there.

I’ve been to the Rushley a few times. The food is lovely. The drinks are lovely. There’s a few staff that are great. The times I’ve just popped in for a drink there’s always 3 staff on but only 1 doing any work. Taking you longer to get served. Only advise I’d give is hiring good people that you want to represent your brand not a melt in a hoodie cleaning a few tables and picking a few glasses up. Hire people old enough to serve legally without being supervised.

Our first visit. We appreciate the fridge, and one of the ovens had broken down just as we arrived, but the service was very slow. There was no update until we asked what was happening. Well over 1hr had gone by without any food until we enquired. The staff were friendly but the food was not a good quality. It looked like it had been pre-cooked well before it was served. I don't like posting negative reviews, but a bit more communication from the staff would have helped.

Looks tired, service was friendly but very slow, a few things missing off the food and drinks menu, food was not great when it finally arrived, as if it has been waiting a long time under hot lamps to be brought out. Took so long to arrive could not return it as too hungry by then. Embarrassed to have taken my family there as a treat.

Called in for food after a hospital visit, warm welcome and good food, just what we needed.

Brilliant customer service and great selection of drinks. Many thanks to Tiff for the 5* service. Warm delicious food, definetly a shoutout to tiff for the recommendations the mega mixgrill perfectly cooked.

Visits tonight (Monday evening) bar was relaxed and a good experience for the family with the option for my daughter to play in the play. Always a nice experience and reasonably priced. Can't fault the nice wide choice of typical food and nice drinks. Staff are always good too from previous visits. Nice honest food and a good pints and wide selection of other drinks for a good price. Served today by Tiff and Rach

Excellent service when ordering and serving. Friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. Food choices are great and always tasty and ample portion sizes. We have now become regular visitors at least once a week and even take our pet dog who is always welcomed. We would recommend and a BIG thank you to Rachael.

Came in for tea with my daughter on a Monday evening. The pub wasn’t super busy so had a nice calm atmosphere. Menu had good veggie options and more choice on the kids menu than a lot of places. We ordered from our table which was really easy using the QR code. Service was extremely quick. We were through 2 courses in less than an hour. Food was nice. All in all a pleasant experience.

Today we were served by Tiff and Lisa , lovely service and went above and beyond for our elderly Nanna.

After having just been to a funeral service around the corner, around 20 or 30 of us dropped in with no notice to the staff. I had tried to ring and left a message, but apparently the messages don't go through to the pub. However, the staff there were pleasant and friendly and served everything as quickly as possible, and graciously let us take over a slightly more private space in the restaurant area. Those who decided to offer food enjoyed their meals and they were also served quickly. Thanks to them for allowing us to have an evening in memory of my brother.

Lovely place, nice relaxed atmosphere, had to knock it down a star because the food took a long while to get served. But the food itself was amazing, had the fish and chips. Mmmm. Good sized fish in batter and perfect chips, crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. No complaints there. They also have a dedicated gluten free menu. So bring your Celiac friends! Haha
