Pop in from time to time for a drink, love this pub. Homely, welcoming and chilled. Great place to visit and landlords are brilliant

This is our 4th party here we also had our Christmas dinner here aswell and I can honestly say it was perfect . Could decorate the pub ourself to suit us the dj and staff couldn’t have done enough even with low staff they still went above and beyond will continue to have our functions here becca and matt keep being amazing hosts also the staff to Even has a play area outside for the kids to have fun while we can see them . Food was amazing and definitely enough to feed everyone. Definitely recommend a++++++++

recently hosted my 30th birthday party at this pub and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The landlord and all the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating from start to finish, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. The food was delicious and came out on time, with plenty of options to suit everyone. Pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quality and service. The atmosphere on the night was fantastic—lively, warm, and welcoming. It was the perfect setting for a celebration, and I’d absolutely recommend this place for any event or even just a great night out.

Had our baby shower here, the function room is lovely and private with a huge sunroom and excellent outside access. We were able to go in early to decorate. Rebecca and Matt were fantastic hosts, really affordable yet extensive buffet options, everyone commented on how good the food was. Also a considerable drinks choice behind the bar, the only downside was they don’t serve tea and coffee. But I can’t speak highly enough of the experience and would recommend them to anyone looking to host a function 💖

We stopped into William IV for a few drinks when in Mansfield for the weekend. Really warm and welcoming atmosphere when we went in..Cheryl who served us was very friendly as we're Matt and Recbecca (Landlords). Very reasonably priced with great selection of drinks. They had a great live singer on too which was a bonus. Would definitely recommend.

Beer tasted off, glasses weren't cleaned properly at all.

Had a Christmas Party in the back room at William 1V in December and it was fantastic. Brilliant singer and brilliant service from the bar staff.Everyone enjoyed the night. Would highly recommend booking this place for a party.

Myself and my partner visited over the Christmas period and again on New Year’s Eve, the atmosphere in the pub was warm and inviting on both visits. The staff were very accommodating and the draught beers my partner had were very good quality. There was plenty of variety drinks wise and we will be coming back again! We would recommend this pub to anyone!!

Love this pub, what a great place to go if you want a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Rebecca, Matt and the rest of the staff cant do enough for you and are always welcoming. Food is tasty and love the new menu. Also a great place to hold a function. I would definitely recommend this pub as a good all rounder.

I hired out the function room for a surprise party. The DJ and food are reasonably priced. The room is perfect with a bar, tables and a dance floor which leads to the outside area with a climbing frame for children. From start to finish everyone was friendly and communication throughout has been excellent. They were so relaxed and accommodating with decorations and music being played. I will definitely use this venue again and will highly recommend it to other people.

Go for a regular group and have a good time with no issues from staff about gender or dress

We booked a function at William IV and it exceeded our expectations. Rebecca & Matthew went out there way to make sure that everything was perfect. The food that we received was gorgeous. What great value for £5 per head. They also helped us decorate the room. I will be definitely booking this venue again for future events. Absolutely amazing.

Last Monday, 29th July, William IV hosted my Nanna’s wake, and I couldn't be more impressed. The service we received was fantastic, and it was incredible value for money. First off, the venue itself was free to hire, which was a huge plus. We had full use of the function space, and they even let us play our own music by plugging into their speaker system. It really made the atmosphere personal and special. The food was both affordable and delicious. It’s rare to find such good quality at such a reasonable price, and it really added to the overall positive experience. A standout feature was the kids' play park outside. It was a great addition and kept the kids entertained throughout the event, allowing the adults to focus on reminiscing and celebrating my Nanna’s life. The venue was kept to a high standard, looking clean and well-maintained. The landlord was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome and looked after. Overall, I highly recommend William IV for any event. It’s budget-friendly without compromising on quality, and the service was top-notch. I’m definitely planning to return for future occasions.

Every time I visit I am welcomed with a smiley face. The pub host plenty of great singers and acts. Rebecca, Matt and the team always go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a nice evening. Music is always on, inside and out. Which is perfect if you want a beer in the sun! I’ve also got a function coming up, the selection of food for a buffet is amazing. And you cannot beat the price! Any questions I’ve had, Matt and Rebecca are always happy to help. Just an amazing pub, and even better team!

A great pub that is very welcoming! The staff are amazing and could not do enough to make us comfortable and accommodated for our function. The buffet provided was great quality and value for money, they even accommodated for multiple dietary requirements. The DJ set up was professional and they catered to our musical tastes perfectly. The car park was big enough to accommodate all our guests and the play area was great for the young ones in our party. The drinks were very reasonably priced. Myself and my partner would definitely recommend the pub and the function space to anyone!

Amazing homemade food. Says what it is on the tin. Small easy going menu no inflated prices. Would highly recommend the Jacket potato and various fillings, and the toasty and pannies are also just as good. Good tasting beers as well.

My partner and I hosted our engagement party here and had the best experience with our family and friends. The function room was free to hire and was decorated perfectly for the event. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the landlord and landlady really put in the extra work to make our night more special. Reasonably priced drink and all-round excellent atmosphere.

Chose to have my daughter's 2nd birthday party here because of the location and room size and cost. Was well looked after, everyone had a great time. They supplied the DJ and we supplied the decorations and food. All came together nicely on the day. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to hold a party or event. Even the surprise snowfall on the day didn't cause an issue. If we were to hold another family party, we would definitely return. Huge carpark out the back also really handy for guests, all drinks reasonably priced and staff were lovely and welcoming. Thanks for being a part of making her birthday special. Visited for the children’s Halloween disco, the kids loved it. The entertainment was very good and the service from the bar staff was great, despite it being very busy! In all the years I’ve visited the pub, I don’t think I’ve ever seen it so busy. Keep up the good work!

Really cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The pub is far bigger than it looks on the outside and has everything you could really want - excellent selection of beer that is fairly priced, a pool table, dart board, games machine and jukebox, as well as lots of space. The landlord and landlady, Matt and Rebecca, are very accommodating and friendly and the staff provide excellent service with a smile!

Love this pub! Great local pub on your way into town. Only gave 4 on food as I've only eaten once, I think, and it was great. Provide sausage and/or bacon cobs on a race day and food prices are very good and service is always polite and friendly. Don't forget, it's the brewery who charge the prices, not the landlord Lee 😉

This is, without doubt, a Brilliant Pub. If you're local you will already know how good it is, if not, then rest assure that this pub is a very warm,clean and welcoming place indeed. Great selection of beers with Brilliant facilities for a family or just a couple of workers calling in. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating at the rear, with a clean and well kept fun area for the kids when the weather is good. William lV is loving known locally as the 'Top House' and is certainly a Top Pub. A traditional two sided style set up venue with hot meals available and even a nice sheltered area for the Old Smokers, lol. The staff are exceptional and very polite. This is a certainly a great pub/venue that sets the standard.

Surprising little gem!!!!! Welcoming, great drinks and nice people. Few noted bonuses: -Enough plug sockets in the games room to supply Carsic (massive bonus) -It has a fish tank!!!! -50% off Gins???? How could you not.

Honestly the best local boozer in Mansfield. Trudy is my favourite barmaid to walk the earth. Well priced drinks, good choice and such a friendly atmosphere. The juke box is life changingly good.
