Capo Lounge in Mansfield

Lovely dog friendly cafe, lots of food and drink choices. We ordered avocado on toast, chicken burger and Parmesan fries. With a water melon ice tea. Only negative it was £2.50 for a dog sausage 🫢, in other places they are normally 50p - £1 max.

The service is always perfect here. Breakfast and the lunch menu are delicious!!!! We eat there at least once a month!

I visit Capo lounge once maybe twice a month. I love the atmosphere. My parents have visited me for some time and came from abroad so I took them for lunch. Unfortunately, I have not experienced the best attitude towards me. Long story short, I went to self-service station to grab a glass of water but the glasses were dirty and sticky. When I have kindly asked one member of the staff (lady) for clean glass she brought me the one from the self-service station for water. I have kindly asked her to bring me a clean different glass as those are all sticky and dirty. She said that it might take her 5 min to bring me a different glass, so I have said ok no problem at all, after that she took the glass from me, firmly placed it back on her tray with attitude, shakes her head, rolled her eyes left and never returned back with the glass. When different member of the staff brought us food, I have asked her kindly to bring me clean glass and she brought it within few seconds. I have never experienced attitude like this from any other members of the staff before. As a customer I don’t appreciate attitude like this especially for only asking for a clean glass. That should be the priority for any restaurant to be clean and tidy…

I love this place, one of our favourite restaurants and always visit when in town. Their lounge breakfast is the best cooked breakfast I have ever tasted and the coffee is really good too.

Went in today for breakfast. Didn’t have tomatoes or mushrooms cos I don’t like them but had extra toast n hash browns. Absolutely delicious. Everything cooked perfect. Lovely staff Lovely place

Nice bar. Good selection of beers. We opted for the Hofmeister and the Menabrea. Serve food. We didn't eat but looking at the menu they offer your standard pub range.

So, a friend has been coming here for brunch for a long time. This weekend we finally checked it out for ourselves. We came for dinner on a Saturday evening. We were treated by a lovely man who gave me the gluten free menu and asked to sit wherever was free. This place is very chilled out. The décor is somewhere between kitch and Victorian cafe. We had the tapas. There was not a bad dish. Everything was hot, delicious and a great introduction to the food. There is literally something for everyone. All my food came with flags. Personal recommendations are the chilli brisket and sweetcorn and cheese fritters. But what pleased me the most was I had a choice of dessert. I mean a cheesecake I could eat I nearly did my happy dance. The drinks menu is good too. We sampled a fair selection. Finally the staff are young, chatty and nothing was too much trouble. What a lovely bunch of people. We'll be back and I'll be trying the nasi goreg.

It's always nice to have a light dinner or lunch at Capo Lounge. Avocado and chicken salad is delicious, also the tapas. Lovely relaxing atmosphere, friendly and polite staff. Thanks.

The capo lounge is an interesting place to visit. I only had drinks here however I will sample the food another time. The art on the wall is eclectic and interesting. The toilets was clean as they should be.

Top place to go in mansfild, yummy food, amazing cocktails, and woulderful happy staff! Been in and out over afew years with groups of different friends and they've all wanted to go back! Not been disappointing as of yet keep up the good work! 👌

Food hot and ordered using app plenty of variety on the menu.

The food is amazing- hats off to the chefs. The staff they have try their best but they do not have enough staff to cope at busy times. They ask you to wait to be seated which is a great idea & I support. But again there is not enough staff and customers walk past the queue & take the available tables. Because there is insufficient staff meals are delivered without everything that was ordered or without cutlery & it's impossible to find anyone to remedy it. The staff work incredibly hard but get the flack from being constantly understaffed. A simple solution to me would seem to be a member of staff to meet & greet & clear tables to take pressure off the other staff. This situation is nothing to do with the Capo & everything to do with the bean counters in head office who don't understand poor experience leads to less custom.

Took forever to get someone to actually acknowledge we wanted a table. After 10 minutes of being seen and ignored someone finally came to us. Food portions extremely small, chips were only half full in the little serving kettle

Will definitely return. Food was absolutely spot on. The service was soo fast & the staff were lovely. Highly recommended when looking for food in Mansfield. Only criticism is that there's a sign as you walk in, telling you to wait to be seated.... We waited there for a good 5 minutes or so & nobody came over to us, so we had to ask at the bar & they said to find ourselves a table....... Slightly annoying & easily avoided by moving the sign. Could be enough to lose a customer if someone's stood at the "wait here" sign for too long with no acknowledgement. But overall, really pleased we tried this place :-)

Nice friendly and comfortable bar. Nicely decorated etc. However I didn't think it was appropriate for a member of staff to be doing her hair behind the bar when serving customers. Some of the staff could do with smartening up there appearance as in wearing smarter clothes. And perhaps less time on their mobile phones. Apart from those issues we enjoyed a nice pint.

We have been to the Lounges before and visit the Retford one ( Rondo Lounge ) often. We decided to visit Capo Lounge. The service was absolutely awful. The staff just put our drinks and food on the table without a word and walked off. No one asked if it was ok. The staff were just incredibly unfriendly and literally didn’t speak to us during our whole visit. Perhaps it was because we ordered on our phone and didn’t leave a tip. Very disappointing that the lounges vary so much .

As an ex-regular of Toro Lounge in Cirencester , the similarities in the Capo Lounge brings back a homely feel. The food was great, packed with a friendly atmosphere. Will be back again soon

Don't order the buttermilk pancakes! They are store bought and taste tough and frankly stale to eat. The look great, but me and my son couldn't eat them, he spat them out and they definitely were microwaved and tasted overly-chewy. Despite having only tried a mouthful, which was put back on the plate, we were not offered a refund when I told them about their food. They did offer another plate, but we didn't have time for that. So wasted £7 (yes £7 for children menu pancakes). My advice is just make your own at home for half the price and 10x the quality. My breakfast was lovely however, I had a shakshuka, which was only £2 more at £9 which I felt was really reasonable! But if a customer comes back with a full plate of food and tells you it's poor quality and inedible and you tell me they are store bought, I'd suggest that it's decent practice to offer a refund. Instead, I'll offer this review. I will be back, but not for that menu item.

Food is so poor, laced with mayonnaise or some type of sauce to hide the fact that the portion sizes are tiny and very basic.

This is a lovely place to stop for lunch when out shopping or afternoon drinking. The food is so good and there's plenty of choice. The drinks menu also has a good selection with plenty of cocktails, beers and wines, the gin selection isn't the biggest but there's always one I fancy so not a problem. Using the app makes it easier to order as you can't always get to the bar when it's busy and the waiting time isn't long for both food & drinks. Food is always fresh and we keep going back to try new things. Would definitely recommend.

We went for our Christmas meal with work .11 of us got our food the 12 one did nor cone till we were finished .

Beautiful food & very reasonably priced

The access to Capo Lounge is level, so suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Quite spacious inside. Various types of seating are available from bar stools to comfy chairs. The menu offers a lovely selection and variety of choices that are far from boring and not a greasy fry-up or cheap burger. The meals are large and delicious. The drinks and cocktails are also very good. The service can be slightly slow as the food is freshly cooked, so it's not a place to go if you don't have much time. Parking is available nearby, but you will have a few minutes' walk. It's worth checking the menu as it has unusual combinations on the meals that make it far more appealing.

Nice service plus good food. Those paintings of communist coup and Bolsheviks were kinda strange.

The first time, I visited Capo Lounge in October for a coffee. Interior decoration is unique and so warm welcome. Coffee was taste and well served. Definitely come back again.

Called in to this market-square café on a recent visit to Mansfield. The verdict on the 4 breakfasts in our group was unanimous: excellent (shakshuka, Big Lounge (full English), smashed avocado and Miami brunch). The coffee was very good. Service was excellent, decor is tastefully utilitarian. Quiet at 09:30 on a Saturday morning.

This is the best place for all ages in Mansfield. The team working here are absolutely amazing, nothing is too much of a task. Over the past few years of living in Mansfield I have eaten here endless amounts of times. Recently I threw my 30th birthday party here which was a great success, again due to the fabulous Capo Team. If you have any special dietary requirements whether it’s gluten free, lacto, veggie-vegan (you name it they have it covered!). Ask Philippa or Rhi to make you the best morning coffee, Helen will look after you on the floor and get you the best table in house and Maggie and her kitchen team will make sure you leaving feeling full! ☺️

Very poor customer servive, called in today for a coffee, stood and waited for a table until someone came to tell me l could sit where there was a menu on the table. The lady concerned spoke to someone who was waiting in front of me served her, another couple walked in after me stood behind me and the same woman who served the lady before stood in front of me walked right past me totally ignored me and served the couple behind me. I am afraid to say l walked out and will never step foot in this place again. How rude and ignorant to walk straight past a customer who was waiting to be served.

Really decent food. Portions were a bit small for the price but the vibes were immaculate.

We came here for for breakfast and it was an absolute delight! The food was incredibly delicious especially the shakshuka which had the perfect level of spiciness. Great and cosy atmosphere, friendly staff.

Food was delicious, customer service was warm, friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed. Will definitely return. Homemade elderflower drink is lovely and refreshing.

Went here for lunch on Wednesday. We had a fire alarm sound just after we got our food but we're relieved to get told it was a false alarm. I had the tapas it was really nice. Sad to see that you now get pitta with the humus, but it was still nice. My friend had the chicken burger and said it was lovely. Portions were good for the burger but a little small for the tapas. We had 2 of the sprites. They were nice but took quite a long time to come the 2nd time around. I ordered it half way through my meal and it took over 15 mins to come (this was 10 mins after the fire alarm). I would recommend to people and I will be back as its one of the best places to eat in mansfield Town, reflected by the fact it is always busy.

Nice day for tapas! Good sized tapas dishes. Good flavours. Very tasty and filling. Good value. Capo Lounge is a popular restaurant and bar with a lively, buzzing atmosphere, even on a Friday lunch. Boho and chunky shabby chic decor. Family friendly but with an 'in crowd' vibe. The staff are attentive and the food was served in good time. I sat outside to watch the world go by. It's a beautiful day again. The gentle bristle of leaves on nearby trees is sweet and I enjoyed watching the market stalls and shoppers. Nice spot.

Good place if you want to breast feed your baby always a lot doing it there.

Slightly disappointed my granddaughter ordered something with poached eggs on top , the eggs was hard I asked her to complain but she wouldn't ⁰

I can a few months ago and the service let it down a little bit but retried again today and amazing was obviously a off day on my previous visit - which we all have. Will definitely be back but won't leave it as long Ng next time.

Absolutely amazing, went on a friend's recommendation. Wife had the lounge breakfast which although slightly pricey for the size it was nice. I had the Shakshuka and it was perfectly spiced, eggs were done incredibly well, the extra chorizo was the best food choice I've made in months. I can't fault this dish in the slightest. I'd love to see a larger portion upgrade offer with more shakshuka, an extra egg and bred just so I can starve myself for the day to enjoy as much of it as possible. Well done, genuinely it was so so good

Started my friends hen do off in Capo for food and cocktails , 6 of us and everyone said their food was fantastic. We ordered off the app and the food was with us within 10 mins , tapas, chicken burger abd halloumi burger all gorgeous. Cocktails were also quick to arrive and served by a smiley Gabby. Had to sit upstairs because there was a live band ( duo) on downstairs who had pulled in a crowd and have to say they were very good. Great start to the night 🤩

I love this place. The menu options are fantastic and the food has been amazing everytime I have visited. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I love the decor and feel of the place. I will return many more times. Drinks are pricey but if you are going to treat yourself I can recommend the peach colada!

Capo Lounge is probably one of the very few places I'd recommend around Mansfield if we talking food and drink. Food is always great with friendly staff all around. One of my favourite parts that make the place is the interior which gives you a feel of a bar that you are more likely to walk into in London (that's just my opinion). Overall a great place that I'm always looking forward to come back to. 👌

Amazing quality food, presentation was on point. The deserts and soft drink options were the best I've seen in a long time. The restaurant is also dog friendly 🐕 They also had all dietary options available.

Staff were amazing and very helpful, when we asked them for help bringing out a birthday cake they went above and beyond!
