The Royalist in Harborough

This very unassuming place is golden - we popped in after seeing Darlaston play Harborough yesterday and were looking for somewhere cosy to watch the West Ham vs Man City game. The locals were amazing, welcomed us like old friends and the lovely guy behind the bar was polite and professional. It's a very cosy place to watch football - they don't serve food on Saturday night but they do serve on a Sunday for lunch, which was a bit of a shame as we didn't want to leave. There's a fish and chip shop a few doors down and one of the footy guys said we'd probably be able to eat that in the pub. I can't thank the pub for being so lovely and their locals, I say this a lot, it's very rare to experience this and I really recommend this place if you're in the area and near the football ground, rather than going into town.

Faultless for a Sunday roast. Proper portions, swimming in gravy and delicious FRESH veg! And a cracking price too! May not look the best outside but immaculate and friendly inside!

The staff are so friendly and obliging, service very efficient. We go here nearly every Sunday for lunch. Great value for money. We have tried many restaurants and pubs in the area but always come back to the Royalist.

Went here for first time, always wanted to go for a drink and decided to venture there today, great place, really relaxed, bloke behind bar was extremely nice and attentive. Great outdoor bit to sit and have a drink, will definitely start using this place in future 👌👍

Great local pub with good character and friendly staff. Sports on TV in the rear bar, as well as a pool table. Lots of outdoor seating to the front and rear!

Had my birthday lunch today and I was delighted with the customer service and of course the wonderful food. I ordered the pork roast and it was cooked just as I like it. Cutting the meat was like a knife through butter. The generous portion meant I was unable to clear my plate but was offered the choice to ‘take away’ what I couldn’t finish. So pleased with that! The staff were polite and friendly and very attentive, so all told it was an enjoyable experience and well worth repeating. Very good value for money therefore I would highly recommend visiting this community establishment. Thank you to all concerned who made my experience memorable.

I enjoyed my first Christmas dinner of the festive season here last night. The prawn and smoked salmon starter was delicious. The cod in cream sauce was even more delicious. To finish was a divine dark chocolate and raspberry pud. The service was excellent. Had a fab night out, thank you.

First time here for bwt 30 years. Came for 50 wedding aniversary in function room. 3 corse meal was great and waitreses friendly and helpful. Nice pint of Ghost ship and nice room with wood burner. Would recomend 😊🍻

Went here for New's Year Eve and every effort had been made to cater for all. The lounge bar with a singer for older generation, disco with karaoke in sports bar, a marque with tables and sofas serving food included in ticket price.
