The best restaurants in East Midlands

Been craving fish and chips for a while and just happened to be passing so pulled in for some lunch. The small fish and chips was actually a very decent sized portion. Fish was fresh, crispy, and cooked well. The curry sauce was really nice too! Wasn't sure about the very green mushy peas but I'm not a mushy pea person. We ordered a potato scallop each not realising they are a meal in itself! Lots of fresh, tasty food and really good value. Service was impeccable and the blonde woman who served us was really friendly. I'll definitely be passing through again!

Decent Japanese food in spalding, decor slightly sparse but the staff attentive and friendly. We had the vegetable noodles and chef special sushi platter and although on the pricey side, it was freshly made and flavoursome with the dishes nicely decorated. Be aware there is a 10% service charge added to the bill

We’ve always wanted to stop by when we’ve travelled past and really glad we finally did. The pub is a beautiful traditional old-fashioned pub. We really enjoyed our meals, which were fresh, home-cooked and good portions. Excellent and friendly service. We will definitely be back!

Great concept; healthy takeaway food delivered to your door and should be a really tasty alternative. However we ordered a chicken burrito that lacked flavour and had too much of everything in it! Impossible to eat without spilling it everywhere. We also ordered the vegan bowl; tasted of absolutely nothing.. tofu, coleslaw, broccoli and couscous, such a shame. Sweet potato fries soggy.

Our party of 8 ate at the pub last night. As we left it late to book a table we pre-ordered our meals. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was extremely welcoming, the bar and waiting staff were very polite, professional and couldn't have done anymore for us. Now to the food ... some of us had starters, which were delicious. The mains were very well presented, absolutely delicious and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. They were all cooked to perfection. Desserts only two of us had room for one and yet again they said they were lovely. If we were this way again, we would definitely have a meal here again and we all thoroughly recommend it to all.

Cindy and Mark super hosts.Such a friendly and welcoming team and also very friendly locals. Food was lovely and we joined in with a pub quiz in the evening. Highly recommend a visit! We will definitely be returning! Thank you for letting us park our moho in your car park too.

Beautiful little spot. Looks freshly decorated & well looked after. Staff were very attentive. I had a full English which was cooked to perfection with just right runny eggs. My family all thoroughly enjoyed theirs too. Worth a visit.

We visited for Sunday lunch for a table of 12. The service was fantastic and every member of staff was so polite and friendly. The food was by far the best Sunday roast I’ve had eating out in Lincoln, so tasty, very generous portions and great price. I will be recommending to everyone and definitely will be returning ❤️

Had a kebab, it was ok to be honest, if I could just say tho the meat was cold. ( it would seem the warmer they put it into isn’t working very well at all .

Old fashioned pub. Charming interior, reasonably priced drinks. Friendly staff. Good waiting room for the train station.
