Great village pub run by Jackie and her team . Well worth a visit and any pool players out there try the 2 tables upstairs in the sports bar . Plus Wed is quiz night .

Popped in for a drink on Saturday, after seeing the wonderful meals coming out from the kitchen we decided to stay and have a meal. Gorgeous food I’m not one to leave reviews but honestly the food was delicious I had vegetarian lasagne my husband had sausage and mash. It was so good we booked for Sunday dinner the next day, once again gorgeous honestly you have got to try this place, great friendly staff and the food well it has to be tried, absolutely gorgeous.

Had a lovely meal there were 9 of us in our party and we all got served together.The food was freshly cooked we had to wait a while but that's to be expected when it's cooked fresh.and it was worth it.

We visited last week for the Sunday carvery as the pub is now under new management, the food was excellent, choice of 3 meats, all the trimmings and so many veg options, I have never got my son to eat sprouts in 31yrs you did it in one visit 🤣👏 we'll definitely be back

Had carvery here Fri 7/7/23, best carvery ever, 4 meats, loads veg choice, cooked to perfection, was suggested to by Burt when we stayed at waterfront caravan park-great Park too. ! Thanks Burt n Red heart. Will be back.

Sat in the garden, what a disappointment grass needs cutting. Clutter laid around, old hanging baskets, bare wire's hanging from out building's. Just needs a tired up.

This is our local! However, as a former licensee I think it could be made a lot more popular. For example last years hanging baskets are still up with dead flowers in them, the outside in general does not look inviting. The pub itself on the interior lacks finesse. They do a quiz night on a Wednesday which is well attended and I believe Sunday Lunchtime is busy, I feel they need to do a bit of research around the village to find out what people would like from their village pub. I have to say the staff are lovely and very friendlt

We went to this pub last night with our friends, Sarah behind the bar was very friendly and helpful, we ordered from the menu, 3 off us went for the pie option and my wife went for the Yorkshire pudding wrap, The food took over 1hr to arrive and when it did arrive was Luke warm , gravy was lumpy and Luke warm, very few chips which was again Luke warm, did request a few extra ones which came out hot, , the manager did offer us a few coffee, but it was a shame he didn’t pop and see us directly, , The atmosphere was just what you wanted as a local pub, sadly the food was very poor on this occasion, Maybe a fresh chef is needed,

Lovely quiet pub with good food and friendly service. The price of a pint is a little expensive for the North of England but when the food is as good as this, the pool table is free and the music choice is on point its easy to forgive paying a few extra pence per pint. Highly recommended popping in if your passing.

The Red Hart no longer has drinkable draught beers on. Unfortunately the Pubco have decided that Misterton deserves the same obscene prices as Bawtry.

Beautiful pub very pleasant staff

Glasses our drinks were put in weren't cleaned properly, with something hard stuck to the inside. The cider drink ordered had bits in so left some in the glass, tables were a little sticky.

Have been many times for the carvery, the food here is exceptional. Usually 3 or 4 types of meat to choose from but they also do some additional meat dishes in sauces which are sublime. The wife always enthuses about the wide variety of vegetables and potatoes available. Extensive dessert menu most of which are home made. Book if you are intending to go as they get very busy, they take away version if you prefer to eat at home or were unable to get booked in. Rough price guide large dinner dessert and a beverage £20 - £22. They also do a smaller portion.

Nice friendly pub, typical county type pub which cooks good British pub food and also do carvery. Go there often.

Visited today for a fab Sunday Carvery at the Red Hart. Food and service are faultless. The staff are hardworking and polite, nothing is too much trouble. We can take our dogs in so everyone is happy. We were very disappointed to witness a couple of families in there today who allowed their children to run riot, getting in the way of the waiting staff and throwing food everywhere ! When they left, the tables they had been sitting at were covered in food, gravy etc and the floor was a disgusting mess. It took the staff 20 minutes to get rid of the mess and bring the whole area up to scratch ready for the next customers. The staff were amazing and took i t in their stride. We'll done all. At least our dogs didn't make a mess. Thank you for a fab lunch xx 😘

Let down by foul language in the bar area and whilst the carvery portions were generous and cheap everything looked like it had been stewing for a few hours.

Traditional pub in centre of the village serving a carvery based lunch menu. Large beer garden at the rear which could use some gentle tlc but nice space in the better weather. Staff in the pub were very friendly and allowed our dog inside

Visited on a Monday for lunch and was delighted to find a really well stocked carvery with 3 roasts to try. Was really delicious and the excellent service and jovial atmosphere ensured a superb experience. Just brilliant!

This was my first visit with my 2 sisters for a birthday celebration. The food was very nice you get a good choice, the place has a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff are very attentive and pleasant. We will be returning.

Initially I gave the Red Hart 3 stars and have changed it to 4. My meal was great but the chicken was not the best we have had, a bit tough and the Lemon 🍋 meringue was a bit tasteless was it frozen . Probably chose the wrong thing. However the staff were excellent and veg was nice so for this reason I have decided to up the rating. Didn't get into the beer garden so can't comment. All areas of the pub are dog friendly.

Had the Carvery, good choice, lots off it and offered re fills if we had room, roast potatoes were a bit short and without asking a bowl freshly done was brought to our table, very helpful staff 😋👍

Not just any fish and chips.. quite possibly the UKs biggest fish and chips... Brilliant and lovely food, would definitely recommend, especially if you like huge portions like me 😋
