Lovely meal, decided to visit, despite reading some recent negative reviews, looked in window, there was quite a few people in, so went for it. Didn’t regret it, had popadoms and pickle tray, and a great Rajasthani railway lamb curry! Service was great, with the bonus of a gluten free lager for the hubby.

Booked for a Friday night, did not disappoint, my starter, fennel sausage was to die for, could have eaten that all day long…………. Food was tasty, service was attentive, value was good; compared to places in local area was much better value; good food, good drink, good service, will go back

We had heard good reviews of the restaurant for a number of years, and love the ‘not for profit’ concept, so we booked a Saturday evening table for two. The restaurant was about a third full, but had a nice atmosphere. Food: Overall, the food was average, with a few good dishes throughout the meal. Starter and desserts were missing key flavours / textures to make them really stand out. Though duck main was very good, and is recommended. For the price and expectation, it did not hit the spot. Service: This was hit and miss. Wine was just placed on the table and not poured, unused cutlery and used side plates and butter knives from bread were still on the table at dessert. Service felt rushed, and we had three courses well under one hour. The experience just did not match the price tag.

Amazing food! We was visiting the area for a dance competition the following day and our hotel didn't offer food. We looked this place up and the menu looked great so we booked a table. Food was delicious and staff provided great service. It was very busy, so it's obviously very popular with the locals and I'm not surprised why, with the vast menu options and delicious food. We both had the pie which was delicious. I had the cookie dough which was by far the best I have ever had and such a big portion that I felt sick when I finished haha, and my mum had the roulade which she said was the best she's had - even better than M&S! Only downfall for us was car parking was an issue, there was no spaces at all and I ended up having to park in a nearby street and walking with my disabled mum. It was probably because it was so busy though, so I wouldn't be put off!

I have been here multiple times and have always had a really positive experience, food is lovely, very clean and friendly. However, my experience today was so negative and the staff were extremely rude. Me and my friend used the side door after ordering not seeing the ‘staff entrance sign’ which isn’t very clear. The staff were then loudly speaking about us from behind the counter saying ‘it literally says staff only, what do they need a flashing sign that saying no entry’. I found this really unprofessional and will not be returning.

A recent visit with four friends was a lovely experience. We were greeted warmly and given menus. Drinks arrived quickly. The room was nearly full and there was a good atmosphere. Our waiter explained some dishes with which we weren't familiar and starters arrived quickly. How kind to offer us a short break between courses ! Mains were hot and delicious. Nothing more to say. We couldn't fault the food or the service. Oh! but the stairs to the toilets are a bit steep and long. However, the facilities couldn't be faulted

Came with daughter and granddaughters for afternoon tea. Belated Xmas gift. Attentive, pleasant, excellent service given by Michelle. Nothing was too much trouble. Only downside, I thought the food was not a great choice and variety of desserts. Mainly scones, scones, scones. Rather overpriced compared to other venues.
