This is a great place to meet for a pub lunch. The food is freshly prepared and really good and the beer (Marston's Pedigree) is always in top condition. We will be back!

I am part of a Group of friends who regularly visit on a wednesday.The staff are always welcoming , friendly and provide a great service and excellent food! We now know the menu off by heart ,the fish and chips and Burgers are always popular with our group.Keep up the good work Lee and Cindy and the team. Regards Phil.

I've enjoyed a (near)-weekly lunch at the Nag's with a group of friends for the past 18 months or so. The food, without exception has been consistently good, and as a group we can honestly say that we've not had a substandard meal yet. Any personal preferences are well catered for, and the service has always been first-class. We've tried several good local pubs over the past few years but the Nag's is without doubt the most reliable for an enjoyable lunch.

Absolutely amazing! From the most warmest of welcomes to the most delicious food, everything about our evening was just wonderful! I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. The staff were so helpful, funny and genuinely lovely people and the food was out of this world. There’s such a variety on the menu and everything our table ordered was amazing. The lasagna was the best I’ve ever had and my partners steaks was ‘the best ever’ - trust us when we say we have eaten in some amazing places so we don’t say this often, but the food quality here is outstanding! Thank you for such a lovely, memorable evening. We will definitely be returning regularly!

Lovely dog friendly pub with friendly staff. 26 of us for a Birthday meal. Meals arrived promptly. Everyone remarked on the excellent quality of the food. The sirloin steak was probably the best steak meal I've ever experienced. Delicious. Wife had gluten free lasagne which was also delicious.

Lovely little traditional pub with top quality food and great service. We went as a family of 4 the night before our flight. We booked a table and were seated and served promptly, then our food arrived quickly and they had a 2 large parties in. We were very impressed, the tuekey soup, was amazing and the burger was one of thes best my husband had tasted. We will definitely be back again, before our next holiday. Highly recommend

We phoned on the off chance as we were staying at the Airport hotel and were delighted. We were really well looked after. The steak was great and really reasonable and the burger was one of the best we've ever had. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the pub was cosy and relaxed. Even though it was busy we didn't feel at all pressured. Service was remarkably quick and we took a walk into Castle Donnignton afterwards which looked lovely with the frost and Christmas lights. Would highly recommend.

Not our first time visiting but we don’t come often. Food was fabulous and good value - the Cajun chicken burger being a firm favourite of mine!! Staff are friendly and knowledgable about the food on menu. Will definitely come again!

Visited today as a party of 5 for the carvery. I had booked in advance we are not local, and had been looking for a good pub halfway between Solihull and Chesterfield. I’m glad we booked as it was busy! Carvery was amazing, meat was lovely, all the sides were perfectly cooked. Chef was really friendly, and waiting staff were attentive. Lovely spacious restaurant - clean and very presentable - staff were attentive and you could see the chefs in the kitchen - good choice on menu with a specials board. Reasonably priced. All food was freshly prepared and delicious. Good sized portions.

I visited on the 17th of September, and overall the food was nice however my father had some complaints about the brussels sprouts being slightly undercooked when he had them. Though the service we received was good I believe the waitress being called Alexia (the girl with blonde hair) she checked if our food was ok, her smile put a smile on our faces and she was kind and attentive! Would visit again.

The owners make you feel very welcome, looking after all dietary needs in a respectful way. The food was beautifully cooked and delicious. Cannot wait to come back again.

It's the twentieth (probably more) I've eaten here and it's another holden star for Lee & Cindy. I had the Sunday roast and it was absolutely delicious From the pigs in blankets to the beautiful roasts with all the meat i could choose. First Class in every way and a delight to eat at. Great welcome when we walked in and we were shown to our table afterwards. After ordering drinks first we then ordered meals. These came beautifully presented and hot. None of us had any complaints and portions were good. Staff were attentive throughout checking if all ok etc. The place is trendy, spotless and so inviting. No doubt a cosy place for the winter too. We were well impressed and shall be recommending it to friends. The gentleman who greeted us etc was brilliant and a great sense of humour. Well done, the Nags Head.

First off, I'll concentrate on the social experience as a whole. Never been before, so knew not what to expect. Parking is easy – if the car park is full, there’s plenty of space on the side road, which itself isn’t busy (it’s the lane leading up to the start of East Midlands Airport’s runway). We were made to feel right at ease by the girls as soon as we set foot inside. Our pre-booked table was already prepared and drinks order taken once settled. But there was no rush at any point throughout the evening – meals were served at a steady pace, and plates taken away all in good time. I won’t bore you with details of our meals – excellent as they were, from experience we all know they won’t please everyone…someone will always manage to find fault. We are human, after all. And not everyone will care for Lebanese or Mediterranean (there’s English available, of course...and a Specials board). Besides, the Nags Head’s menus are easily accessible online, so you have a good idea of the range of dishes available. There’s Trip Advisor to refer to also. However, if you’re like the person that was sat at the table next to ours, who ordered their steak “as it comes”, then complains when brought to them it was “not as expected” and shoos it away, you don’t deserve to dine in such a wonderful place. Go elsewhere. Most tables were occupied, and the girls added to an informal atmosphere with their polite banter – the Lebanese owner even made the conscious gesture of shaking hands and wishing us well on our way out. A nice touch.Not cheap, but certainly not expensive and well worth the money, and having planned beforehand (by looking at the prices online) we knew what to expect in any case. But don’t think of this in terms of price. Think in terms of dining experience. We had a lovely night out and will visit again sometime in the future – maybe to one of the themed evenings held regularly here. Loved the place, loved the staff. Treat yourself and enjoy.

I have been here twice now and both times have loved the food and always find the service friendly and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone a good meal out.
