Fantastic fish n chips. What more do I need to say?

Always loved this fish and chip shop,ordered chicken meat and chips,now I'm all for putting prices up as this day in age u have too but that shouldn't affect the portion size,the portion sizes now are alot less food at a higher cost so unfortunately I won't be returning for this reason photo is large chicken meat and chips before eaten anything

Great food most of the time however Poor service from one of the lads on shift tonight. Don't think I'll be going back there again.

Just order 2 fish and chips, they threw an additional fish in and realised why when we got home. It was either last nights left overs or cooked at 6 am today. Disappointed as this is normally a great fish n chip shop. Yes they ended up in the bin. Batter was horrid and fish was super dry. Not good 😳

They were quite busy the day we went. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was really good and tasty.

Been twice in the last couple of weeks. Absolutely superb fish with a light crispy batter. A very traditional look and taste unlike most fish and chips these days.

Past through on Monday and stopped by...delicious fish n chips..we really enjoyed it..old school fish chips n peas

Just excellent. First time here and I can definitely say it’s head and shoulders above Queens and Vinnies. Great portion sizes, reasonably priced and friendly staff. Will certainly be back. My new favourite chip shop in Ibstock.

Lovely chips finally! ….. shame about the service. Very slow and no apology when finally getting served. It wasn’t as if they were busy one person infront of us.

The fish here was perfect ( Cod ) daughter had kebab meat and chips & she said the meat was some of the best kebab meat shes tried... The only bad thing were the chips, these weren't nice they were very greasy which made them soggy and disnt taste good at all so they unfortunately were thrown away which was a shame as i tried Manor because it had good comments made about it on a post on spotted Ibstock, i must of chosen an off day as surely so many people can't be wrong. I'll give them a 2nd chance another time and hopefully the chips will be as good as im told they are.

Fantastic fish & chips shop in Ibstock. You get a sizeable portion of chips with your order. I prefer their kebabs if you are into that. Although only takeaway the atmosphere is courteous and friendly.

Have used this chippy for many years, one of very few in the area who know how to fry fish properly - without soggy batter.

By far and away the best fish and chip shop....ANYWHERE...however service in the last few months has gone down the pan, and they never keep an eye on how many people are queueing and invariably hear...JUST A MINUTE FOR CHIPS, when you finally get served...which means another 6 minutes on top of the 15 minutes queueing you just did

Nice fresh food, friendly service.

I went in and ordered a tinned roe and chips. The two girls hadn't a clue what I was asking for and when they did finally realise what it was they laughed at me as tho I was the one to be in the wrong. Never felt so shamed in an establishment in all my life.

Best fish in chips in Ibstock...and sue is just wonderful always chatty and happy to help.

Dirty staff and owners smells bad needs a shower and they get your orders wrong say they sort it but never do worse thing ever going home with your food and it’s all wrong

Best chippy in north west leicestershire. I live in whitwick and I drive over to ibdtock as I've tried numerous fish and chip shops and nothing comes close to this place.

Always fresh and for me just the right amount of batter on the fish, IE a thin coating enough to stop the fish drying out but not so much that the batter is a meal in it self! Many a chippy could learn match from the Manor fishbar...

Chips and sausage very stodgey and greasey!! becides that okay. Reasonably big portion of chips. Not the best and far from the worst to be genuinely honest.

I regularly travel to Manor if we want fish and chips. Having eaten at the Magpie in Whitby and other famous fish and chip shops I think the Manor is easily as good. Vinnies is good as well but I prefer Manor!

Only been here once but was beautiful food

Always first class.Portions always consistant unlike Queens in the village.Had to queue out of the door again but weather was fine tonight

It's ok here but certain portions especially of chips are slightly smaller than they used to be.

The food is always excellent with decent sized portions. Good friendly service. I walk half a mile to here in preference to going to the much inferior chippy 200 yards up the road.

Average at best This place used to be amazing ! What ever it is you are doing STOP it isn't working I won't be back 👎

As per my last few reviews, the best chippy in Ibstock. We switched over to Manor Fish bar around 1.5 yrs ago. And still the best chippy in Ibstock.

Quick service nice staff great choices It is close to the main road it has 4 car park spaces and I would recommend it to anyone.

Been to The Old Manor Fish bar over 100 times and ate nearly everything on the menu... NEVER had a bad meal from here EVER... One of the greatest fish bars ever...

The fish n chips from here are equally as good as any seaside restaurant would produce. The fish are fresh, the batter to die for. You don't need a hammer and chisel to break into it. Gorgeous. The kebabs are equally delicious. Chicken tikka for me. Welcoming staff and excellent food.

This is by far my favourite chip shop in Ibstock but they have a new item/meal called the “fisherman’s roll” OMG it is so nice a small fish fritter, potato fritter And mushy peas served with chips. ALL FOR £3.50 omg it is the nicest thing ever. I totally recommend to anyone looking for a cheap and delicious meal.

Great fish and chips the best around Coalville area. Only downside is the car park not very good.

Excellent fish bar....wide selection and meal deals. Very friendly staff. Has a small car park and a sitting or eating area. The whole shop has recently been refurbished so very sparkly new feel.

The food is awful& the owner is a cantankerous miserable so & so. He passes frozen fish of as freshly caught.

My husband and I come to manor fish and chips when ever we come from North Yorkshire to visit his sister. I just wished we lived closer. They are the best we have eaten . Such a clean shop and friendly service. Can't wait to go again.

Really good fish and chips. Great choice. Only problem...a nightmare to park which I would think has lost them a lot of custom. Worth it if you can park.
