The best restaurants in England

From the selections we made from the menu everything was perfect, in particular the calamari, cooked to perfection. To match the calamari the service was to the same standard. We can recommend without hesitation and will return. Thanks very much for an excellent dining experience.

Didn't stay there, I'm staying locally. Tried to book a table for Sunday roast but was told that they no longer serve meals. Also their website shows a menu and no mention of food no longer being served. We did stay for a drink and the atmosphere was friendly. It is a child and dog friendly pub.

TOILETS ARE AWFUL. This is 2025 and they have not seen any refurb since 70's apart from 12 layers if paint. Now onto the food: Fish was great had very tasty batter, Childrens menu popcorn chicken had weird flavour and was way too spicy for children meal. Mushy peas very watery. Tartare sauce never arrived, but to be fair we did not bother asking for it. Very generous portion of chips, probably bit too much, as most of it went to waste. Very nice and polite server. We have been lured in by very high reviews but you cannot be 5* with such low level of facilities

Honestly, the most amazing hotel in the Cotswolds. It is truly a dream, and I can’t wait for the next time I spend a weekend away there. Incredible service, such kind staff, amazing food. And, the signature scent everywhere is divine - please tell me what it is!

Sunday lunch and weekday evening during a 3 generation holiday at cottages round the corner. All the food was excellent and good quality. Roast potatoes were the best I've ever had on a pub Sunday Lunch anywhere!

We had breakfast here yesterday and it was perfect! The staff were lovely and the food and drinks were amazing - the service was super speedy too. We will definitely be back again.

I Went here with a friend today and it was so good! Amazing and friendly service. Highly recommend going here if you are looking for a filling ,nutritious meal. Highly recommend!

Best coffee shop in the area ❤️

Visited here on wed 2 june. Staying at nearby lanarth campsite. Lovely cosy pub with a warm welcome from the staff the memu was amazing and great choices for me being a veggie. The vegetable wellington delicious.. Three of us had a drink, main meal and dessert. Total 75 pounds which was extremely worth it... Would highly recommend and def visit again.

The chef was wonderful and the food was amazing

5 out of 5 food was amazing and so was the service. Glad we came for a birthday meal. Will be coming back next year. Would advise getting the mac and cheese.

Traditional family run chip shop cooking their food in beef dripping. Really tasty!! I've been here many times, and it's been consistently good. They care about the quality of the food they serve you, and you can taste it. It's my favorite chippy in Nottingham.
