Vetrano Restaurant in Burnley

Every visit has been a joy and last night we celebrated my wife's 70th birthday with a family meal. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like royalty. The food and service was as usual EXCELLENT. Waitress was friendly and happy and we felt part of her family. She went out of her way to make my wife feel special. A lovely young lady. I can only award 5 stars but really this Dores not do justice to the restaurant, staff and fabulous cuisine. Thank you.

Not impressed, don't think a return is going to happen, one and a half a pints of coke £6.70 (3 cans of coke) ??? What do you think?

We ordered 3 lasagnes. Came swimming in grease and there were so many layers of pasta it was unbelievable. Never in my life have I seen soany layers compacted down so much. Was very little meat and sauce Tasted very bland and didn't enjoy it at all

Amazing food, Amazing atmosphere! The staff were so welcoming, immediately felt like a family! Honestly some of the best Italian food I've had in a long time!

Had a really nice meal here for my son's 16th birthday. Everything was great, the service was really good too. My only gripe was they added a drink to the bill that we didn't have. I should have checked the bill properly before payment. Maybe that was partly may fault. However, we will return. The lasagne was amazing.

Went on Saturday 15th June for the first time. The food was very good, the service was perfect and the atmosphere was just right. Not pretentious like some restaurants I've visited with inflated prices . Very good value Italian food served in friendly surroundings. We will definitely be visiting again

Booked for my daughters 21st booked the table for 7pm we arrived and was ignored !! 15 of us were stood for half an hour in the doorway and into the front room over another table of people that were eating they squeezed into the bar area we all felt very awkward ! Waiters / waitresses were just ignoring us while people were squeezing past us to the bar was awful as we had a pram. Strange as we’d had a phone call that afternoon to confirm numbers as they were setting the table up ? yet the table was already used when apologetic people came out saying sorry we’re slow eaters awful will service not enough staff food average not retuning and we work in hospitality there no excuse for that night spoilt !

This restaurant has very quickly become out favourite place. The food is amazing, good service and friendly staff

Beautiful food, fresh seafood and lovely garlic bread pizza

First visit for me, 7pm on Valentine's night so not at capacity. Cocktails before starters then the main. Risotto for me and Steak served on stone for the lady, very nice too. Friendly staff in nice surroundings, will definitely return.

Went for new years eve, not been since new owners took over but the food was really good. Chef even came out and spoke to us, a nice touch. Will definitely go again

Lovely friendly atmosphere and delicious food. I had the Polpette meat balls and the Diavalo Pizza. The meatballs were delicious and extremely generous. I stuggled to finish my main course after eating them. My pizza too was delicious. An excellent stone baked crust with really tasty toppings. The chef brought me a bottle of chilli infused olive oil, so I was able to add extra spice to pizza if desired. I had a couple of glasses of house red, which were very quaffable and pint of Maretti beer. I would definitely recommend a visit to Vetrano.

Love this place . Amazing staff and atmosphere

My family visited Vetrano recently to celebrate a 60th Birthday and I have to say everything was absolutely fantastic.. The service was top notch with a team of exceptionally pleasant and highly professional waiting staff. The food was incredible I had intentionally fasted that day before the visit and struggled to eat the entirety of my main course. The Chef (an absolute treasure of a man) came into the restaurant area to make sure everyone was satisfied with their food. He even revisited us to wish the birthday girl a happy birthday. I will be revisiting this place again and again as I need to try more of this fantastic and very tasty food.. Wonderful little venue 5☆s

Its a family business and you could see they work hard to satisfy the customers. Went for Xmas dinner. Food was fantastic. Starters, chicken pate was beautiful. Homemade too. Traditional Xmas Dinner was perfect. Partner chose the lobster ravioli. She loved it. Chef came round to the tables and chatted with the customers. Very nice guy.

The food was really delicious and the restaurant has a really cosy atmosphere but unfortunately the service was poor, it took a while to order food and we were expecting someone to ask how the food was and come around to ask if we needed more drinks but we had to try and get their attention. We were also told the cocktails were 2 for 1 but I only received 1 of them but it didnt taste great so I didn't ask for the other one anyway. And the wine tasted like it had been left open in the fridge for a few days.

Hidden gem. Family run with a typical Italian feel, but expertly presented and very tasty food!

It's been a while since I last visited this restaurant, but I had arranged to meet friends there and what a great night we had. The atmosphere was lovely, food was delicious and you couldn't fault the service and attention given by the staff. The food was reasonably priced, and I can definitely recommend you pay Vetrano a visit.

We have had some lovely meals here until recently. Last time, reduced menu due to staff shortage. This time, busy, staff stressed, food not to standard. Will always give a second chance but now will go elsewhere.

Went here tonight for a family meal, the chef is lovely and food was absolutely gorgeous. Nothing to much for the waiter either he was so polite even I sent my partners food back due to a dairy intolerance and he sorted it out for us. and the girls in the bar very friendly. There was quite a few of us so hats off to them all. Thank you for a lovely meal.

A gem on Padiham/Whalley border. Had a lovely meal, great quality food, attentive staff, tasteful decoration in the restaurant. Not much more you can ask really!

Great home style Italian food. Busy restaurant and noisy but staff were still good. Decoration/fit out needs some updating but the meals made up for it.

I cannot say how amazing this place is, absolutely out of this world food, service was amazing and even had a visit off the chef aka owner himself who is a fantastic man!! Was worth every penny by far, I even took my leftovers home cause it was to good to leave it, me and my partner have booked here for Xmas day with our children and can’t wait, strongly recommend, this is now are number 1 place to eat by far.

Amazing will definitely be back

Firstly the positives - the food was very nice and good value for money. Our party of 4 had the 3 course special for £20 and we all enjoyed our meals. Unfortunately this is the only good thing I can say about this place. We booked our table over a week prior to the reservation to be told on arrival that some one had messed up and booked us in for 6.45 rather than 5.45. Very annoying as this resulted in us being placed on a table in the bar area and not the restaurant. This was not the experience we were hoping for. We were squashed up against the bar with the constant noise of the phone ringing, the blender crushing ice cubes and other diners basically stood over us eating so no privacy whatsoever. The service can only remind me of Faulty Towers on a bad day ! The waiter running round like a headless chicken, who delivered a garlic pizza to our table, to then come back for it after one of our party was about to eat a slice, and remove it and take it to another table in the restaurant area even though he saw we had already touched it!! . The smoke alarm went off and was left to the lone waiter to obtain a brush to turn it off after a few minutes of more disturbance. 3 out of the 4 starters arrived. We were sat there waiting for the 4th one to arrive with our food going cold in the meantime. TEN minutes later the 4th starter arrived to be told they had forgotten it !! Then 2 of the mains arrived, a good 5 minutes before the other 2 . Very unprofessional and sloppy service. When asked if everything was ok, I replied saying the food was nice but we were not happy about being sat where we were, and the waitress smiled and walked off whilst I was mid sentence. Overall a disappointing experience, we will spend our money else where in future.

14 of us had a meal at Vetranos last night , to celebrate a 60th birthday. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and nothing was to much trouble for the staff. The food was to die for, all courses enjoyed by all and great value. The Chef did a walk around, to ensure the food was being enjoyed by all - this was a lovely touch. Excellent restaurant, will be attending again soon.

What can I say but simply THE BEST Spaghetti Bolognese I have had outside of my kitchen at home.. the flavour was amazing . I try and sample Bolognese sauces before I order because many times I find tastes like straight tomato paste but the Chefs here was to die for. We were a group of 8 adults and everyone came away recommending the food they had just eaten. I also had the deep fried Camenbert as a starter and I thoroughly enjoyed it.. One of our party ordered the Garlic bread as a starter and it was huge we had to help her eat it lol. Service was great , and the Chef came out to the table to check if everything was good and it most definitely was. Great value with the 2 (17.95) and 3 course ( 20.00 pounds sterling) set menu with a good variety to choose from. Atmosphere was very good the Restaurant has nice Gardens which you can appreciate when looking through the windows

The waitress was great, the food however was shocking!!!!!!!! Undercooked garlic bread was not good. The carpaccio was very bland and lacked punch, and the seafood starter was vile. YES VILE, the prawns and calamari were very over cooked it was like chewing elastic bands and the white bait were frozen and not fresh (same as the prawns and calamari) it was a poor effort from the chef and will certainly not be going back nor recommending Vetrano’s to anyone other than people I don’t like. The pate starter was well OK 5/10, however the two tiny frozen butters were a cheap touch and the pate was not homemade. The bread however was homemade and was delicious.

We have an 80th party for 25 people with a buffet, it was EXCELLENT! could have asked for anything more the food was all homemade and out off this world the staff and the owners couldn’t do enough

Great family meal on a Saturday night. Food was excellent and the restaurant wasn't to busy. Staff were friendly but they need more of them as service could be a little slow at times. All in all though well worth a visit.

Exceptional value for money and great service.

We dined here for my fathers 63rd birthday. The food was great but you don't half get a lot for a starter. I was stuffed by the end of my 3 course meal that was on offer for only £20. This review is for a takeaway. We ordered for a certain time, and it wasn't ready for another 15 minutes on top of that. It was cold, flavourless, and a waste of money because some of it was inedible. It's probably better to dine in if the other reviews are anything to go off?

Fabulous food and choices. Special through the week, 2 courses for £17.95 or 3 for £20.00 Staff attentive and polite and the chef comes out regularly to ensure you are.enjoying the food. Second time in the last 6 weeks to.visit and did.not disappoint again. Definitely one of the best authentic italian restaurants locally and will be our go to feom now on.

Excellent value 3 course meal for £20. The food was tasty and no holding back on the portion sizes. It was very busy and therefore service was rather slow, but not unduly so. Only negative point - it was so loud we could hardly hear each other speak. All in all, highly recommended.

We went for boxing day could order off normal menu or the menu where uou get 3 courses for £20 which was such a bargain. The food was so good and good sized portions. My son got a really good sized portion off the kids menu. I will definitely be going again. I ordered garlic mushrooms, lasagne and hot chocolate fudge cake.

The food here is outstanding. I ordered the steak & asked for it to be cooked medium. It was EXACTLY that. The salad was also beautiful. The staff were incredibly polite, helpful & the service was fantastic. A great night was had by all of us.

What a Fantastic evening we all had last night a family meal 16 of us all together, Celebrating our sons Birthday..food was delicious very well presented and the staff and service and the attention to detail was spot on..Everybody commented that the food was brilliant and very tasty..10/10

My granddaughter arranged my celebratory 80th birthday meal with my dear family. I cannot fault anything, the place, the staff, the meal, all excellent, would recommend for everything, thankyou everyone.

Really really good food every time, try the lamb shoulder steaks, superb.

Our first visit - the restaurant has been modernised since Mamma Mia days and looks so much better. The goat's cheese starter looked stunning and was a delight of different flavours and textures. The main, seafood risotto, was freshly cooked and also very enjoyable - though a large size ! We'll certainly be back. Update : We returnedvon a Saturday evening - a big mistake. The restaurant was full, a goodcatmosphere but nowhere near enough staff. They just couldn't cope. Long waits between courses and the food was much poorer quality. What a shame - the experience has put us off so we may try it again midweek but not in the near future.

Me and my partner came for a meal Saturday, food was beautiful and the staff were lovely and welcoming ,the overall atmosphere was brilliant. We will definitely be back soon x
