Ordered takeaway from here one lazy evening and it was a brilliant choice. Everything that we ordered was enjoyed by the adults and children at home. The lamb in the biryani was tender and flavourful and our chicken was aromatic and juicy. Everything from the poppadoms to the butter chicken was delicious. The staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be ordering again.

Absolutely BRILLIANT Indian Restaurant located in the centre of Padiham with plenty of free parking in the immediate area. The food is just about the best we`ve tasted when it comes to top quality, freshly-cooked Indian cuisine and the service is always second to none. Fantastic offers throughout the week, applied to an already very reasonably-priced menu, representing excellent value for money. Highly recommended and takes an Indian Restaurant dining experience to another level. Takeaway and delivery service also available if you don`t fancy dining in.

Got this as a delivery. We are staying locally for the weekend so tried it based on good reviews. Food arrived in the allotted time and the food was delicious. The best Indian takeaway I have had in a long time. The chicken tikka masala was delicious and had so much flavour as did the madras and rogan Josh. 10/10. Just gutted we don’t live near by to have it again.

First time there, very impressed..I was with my daughter and her family including a 2yr old boy, nothing was too much trouble..The food was lovely and service prompt..staff very nice and atmosphere was good too.. Will return again.

What a great way to start the weekend. My daughter and I had a wonderful meal Friday evening- great value with the 2 for 1 on starters and main course. Attentive staff and friendly atmosphere. We will be back.

Excellent on all fronts. We normally have it delivered and it has become our favourite Indian restaurant. The food is tasty, delivered hot and good value. Tandoori is one of the best I have ever had. I was previously a food critic, so it's nice to have some great restaurants I can relieve on for fantastic meals.

Bland food suffering from shrinkflation, but still charged, the waiter said "it is what it is" we actually went to jaipur restaurant just up the road for some proper food reasonably priced with a far superior atmosphere and service

Had my first experience of this little Gem today. What a little find. Great service and excellent food, great choice and some real novelty dishes. Naga bite was awesome

First time visiting here, and it definitely won't be the last. Went with a group of friends for a midweek surprise birthday meal (a couple of whom had been before and recommended it). Great location with plenty of free parking nearby, nice and relaxed decor and spotlessly clean. Between the 9 of us we had around 5 different starters and 6 different mains (plus a couple of duplicates) - all of which were really tasty, well seasoned and well portioned and reasonably priced, but the star of the show was the service...... Wonderfully friendly, efficient and attentive without ever being over bearing. I'd fully recommend a visit and I'll definitely be returning soon. Thank you for a great evening 👍

Excellent small restaurant in the centre of Padiham. Food is always top quality and the staff very friendly and efficient. There is a large menu catering for all tastes - from mild to very hot and plenty of choice for vegans and vegetarians. The only drawback is that toilets are upstairs so not suitable for disabled customers.

Was notified that the order was on its way and just short of 45 mins later it still hadn’t arrived, called and they stated driver was here and was confident food would be hot. Driver did apologise for how long it took, unfortunately starter tasted like a tub of salt had been poured over it and was inedible and went straight in the bin, naan bread was cold and hard. Curry was lukewarm but unfortunately because of the salty starter was ruined as that’s all could taste

Excellent food even when ordering from the early bird special offer menu. Portion size is plentiful. The most delicious garlic nan ever ( in our opinions ). Great service, met with smiles on entering, owner took time to chat. Wine by the bottle very inexpensive. Went for a friends birthday, received complimentary Baileys, lovely gesture. First time there and well impressed. We will be back very, very soon.

They only accept cash which is a bit annoying very small inside . Curries were quite expensive but did enjoy them just found portions were quite small considering the cost of the food . Would go again though

I have been going to no.81 Indian restaurant for years, Ali and his team are great, it’s the best curry around. They always look after us and make us feel welcome. I would highly recommend the chicken pathia.

Cash only, but allowed us to pay after. Currys we're nice, drinks a little expensive and starters weren't the best.

Felt i had to share this review after the response from the owner/manager of no 81 to my brothers review. Firstly there were six of us and we went on New Years Eve 2023. We knew the menu was full price so there were no quibbles about paying full price at all. We all ordered starters and drinks. My starter was good Prawn and Mango Puri. The others were ok. Onion Bhajis were not to peoples expectations but no complaints so far. Drinks were served and the soft drinks were flat. My son actually sent his back and exchanged. Starters finished and then a good hours wait for our mains. We had to ask for the starter plates to be cleared and were left waiting until our server/waiter was back from delivering food. I was the first to get my main meal. It was not even warm. At this point other members of our party were being served their main meals. One member of the party had ordered vindaloo sauce to go with his Tandoori but oh no they explained there would be another 10 minute wait for this so served him the ordinary curry sauce. However the vindaloo did arrive 10 minutes later. My main mail was taken back to the kitchen and warmed up !!. The Tandoori chicken that 2 people had ordered was yellow, was not charred, was greasy on the outside and dry in the middle as well as both being bloody. Both people tried their meals and none were satisfied. We called the waiter back and was offered something else. 1 opted for Chicken Tikka and the other person did not want anything as the Tandoori had put him off. When the Tikka arrived it was swimming in grease but did not want to complain again. All our main meals were mediocre nothing to write home about. Service was awful and we were seated right by the door which people were in and out of the restaurant/takeaway every two minutes. We booked this place due to excellent reviews and were highly disappointed. When we received the bill they had not even taken the full price off for the Tandoori chicken (1 meal). We paid the bill rather than cause a scene but we had a quiet word with the waiter and said how disappointed we were and that we would not return. Maybe they were just having a bad night or were to busy but this was no excuse for the dismal and indifferent service and mediocre/inedible food our party received.

New Years Eve dinner . Full price menu . All I can say is the service was worse than any Indian I’ve ever been in . A 2 hour wait while delivery drivers came in and out needing us to move every 5 minutes. 6 people dined , every single person had problems with their food . Mine was eventually taken away after I pointed out that the chicken tandoori should not have been bright yellow and bloody near the bone . They still charged me because they offered me an alternative which I didn’t feel safe eating . An absolute disaster for what should have been a great evening . Shame on the customer service ! As you can see from the owners responses below 'pi** off' he is not a very nice person, plus my complaint was not about having to pay full price at all, I had never even been to the restaurant before so did not know of his offers ! The complaint was about the very poor quality of food and service. Like I said the Chicken was old (yellowed and smelled bad) and near to the bone the chicken had fresh 'red blood' - under no circumstances is this aceptable . Half price or full price. But I do think it says a lot when a professional restauranter misreads his reviews and then tells his customer to 'Pi***' and never to come back. I am so sorry but it shows they do have a serious problem. Be careful

From the start to finish my experience was great at this place. The staff were friendly when i placed the order. The food was absolutely delicious and me and the family thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I would recommend their chicken Jalfrezi - to date was the best one ive ever tasted. We will definitely be going back . From the service to the atmosphere- fabulous experience. I’ve had a takeaway from this restaurant a few times now and it’s been amazing every time…Very consistent! The food is fresh, delicious and it’s up there with one of the best takeaways I’ve ever had. Would recommend this to anyone!

This restaurant has got to be one of the best, if not the best, in burnley/Padiham Area... its unheard of to get an order wrong .... but if they do the go beyond to make sure you get the meal you asked for with out delay A+++ in my book

I tried the chicken tikka Naga bite, I loved the sauce and big pieces good quality chicken. I also tried the king prawn Maharaja, another great sauce and plenty of good quality prawns. I got free poppadoms thrown in. The food was piping hot even though it was delivered from padiham. I would definitely order again.
