It's a little odd but it's pretty hard to find a great coffee in rye.
I only drink black coffee so I like one with flavor instead of just a cup of black water
I stumbled across this place after walking from camber and I'm so happy I did. The lady who runs it was super nice to me and my dog and makes a great cup of coffee
We took a large group to the restaurant and had a delicious Sri Lankan dinner. Indi was so helpful and provided less spicy dishes for some of our guests so that everybody was happy. We took our own wine as the restaurant is waiting for a licence.
I also sometimes have a simple lunch with friends at the restaurant and it is always a success.
I would recommend it for both the British (lunchtime) and Sri Lankan dishes.
Lovely cakes, friendly atmosphere, convenient location. We visited for the first time today and will definitely be back. The banoffee cake, made by one of the owners, was really good.
I have walked past this place many times and wondered what it was like. I didn’t know they did take aways but they do so we tried one on Saturday night. We ordered lots of different dishes including their green curry and salt & pepper chips. It was absolutely delicious and everyone said it was one of the best take away meals they had ever had. We will definitely be ordering here again and I only wished I had found it sooner!
Twenty six members of our Southport Friendship group lunched there today, (16/05/23) Food good, staff perfect. This was our second time there, and we'll go back..
This family run business is an absolute gem. Fantastic home cooked Turkish food made with fresh produce from the equally brilliant grocers run by the same family, which sits like an open treasure chest nextdoor.
They offer all the favourites, from gozleme to borek and delicious homemade soups, as well as speciality patisserie with recipes from their home city in the south east of Turkey.
Not only does it do excellent food at a really reasonable price, but it contributes to a sense of community and bustle that ailing high streets so desperately need. We're really lucky to have such a fantastic place in Brighton.
Had a lovely experience here, the weather was great which made the experience even better. The food was delicious, wasn't sure what to expect but all of it was delicious. Highly recommend to anyone who wants indoor outdoor experience in the countryside.
I took a friend who I owed a lunch to & as I drove through New Cumnock he spotted a cafe open. It was a delight to find this lovely cafe selling Greek food. We had coffee, traditional Greek pie(homemade) followed by baklava & a cinnemon iced bun. We chatted to the owner who had moved here from Athens to be cloe to his Mother in Glasgow. The coffee was so good we had a second cup. On paying the price was reasonable at £22.80 for two. We have already recommemded to friends & neighbours & will return. Open 7am until 4pm.
Pong was a place that was a spontaneous thing one evening, now is a must do anytime me and my friends go out. The activities there are brilliant from a regular game of ping pong to an extremely entertaining game of beer pong, with some variations with other spirits. The atmosphere of the place is always lively and jubilant, never has there been a time of boredom. The staff are the most down to earth and spectacular hosts, with Nes, Greg, Mark and Tadi always ready to greet you with the kindest smiles, no matter the occasion. I can only wish that everyone, whether living in Southend or just visiting, have the opportunity to go to this amazing place as it truly is one of the best places for all to visit. If I were to have one last night out at any establishment, it would unequivocally have to be Pong.
Thank you Pong for treating me and my friends as if we had know you all for years. We all thank you.
