This is a brilliant addition to the area. Casual dining on communal tables under a canopy or on benches by the fire pit. The food is Turkish mezze sharing plates and open breads (choice of lamb, mushroom, halloumi etc) and absolutely delicious. Good selection of local beers and ciders. There’s also wine. My only suggestion would be more cocktails! But they do G&Ts. The staff is friendly. The views are outstanding. We will be back!

This place is just superb. Now in bigger and better premises just outside Moreton-in-Marsh the successful formula of bringing the best quality street food from hip London to a beautiful countryside setting in the Cotswolds offers a real treat for all. The setting is simply glorious. A converted farm building now holds the open plan kitchen where you see the team barbecuing the meats and veggie options over open fires with enough under cover seating for any large gathering of friends. But it's the views and setting that set this place apart. Acres of wild meadow for the kids to play around in whilst the grown ups can relax with some wine or craft beer whilst watching your order being barbecued. Life doesn't get much better than this. And of course the real star is the quality of the food. We could't choose so had one of each and shared. The corn fritters were crunchy and sweet, the Shawarma flat bread was delicious with perfectly barbecued lamb, and the mezze was the best I've ever had. Think of the best Middle East food you've ever tried and bring it to a beautiful Cotswolds setting and this is Pit Kitchen. A special shout out to the team who served and greeted us and to Adam and George who were busy preparing for a very large birthday catering event but still found time to come over and chat and check everything was ok. We had lunch but seeing the open pit fire and festoon lighting, we will definitely be back for an evening.

Food was top notch and impressive views but on the expensive side, especially when it’s self service. Self service makes it feel impersonal. They put bins and a bowl for cutlery on a big table with water in which presumably is to clear your own table? I think this is a bit too far when charging £17/18 for a small main to expect that. Drinks at £5.50 for a small, bang average can is too much.

Try at least once and come with as many people as you want. Book ahead if a large party. Makes a great outdoor casual social venue. …BBQ vibes * Limited menu =easy to choose * Lovely views/surroundings * Plenty of parking * Food tasted great * Value 4… amount of chicken on the shawarma was titch (compared to lamb neck) the side portion of chips with a dollop of aioli for £5..underwhelming and a tad high. Notes: No host. Just sit wherever you want and order at counter. (Unless you reserved for a large party) No service ie collect your food from counter when food plated and buzzer sounds Not…BYOB Outhouse-like toilets Dog-friendly

Great location. Very nice food ( had the lamb). Staff very personable. £5.50 for 330ml can or the best part of £10 a pint is frankly obscene.

What could be better on a warm summer evening than cracking freshly cooked food on a hillside overlooking the Cotswolds. Highly recommended

The experience starts with the drive through the tall crops into the grassed parking area. Once out of the car you smell that meat on bbq wood cooking so follow your nose to the seating area.l Large banquet rustic tables await with the friendly service at the order place / cooking pit. A log fire pit adds to that wood smell and soon the food is ready. Delicious and perfectly cooked and set of by the country views. Dog and family friendly. A very good experience..hope to return.

Said I'd write down what I was just saying to my wife in a review, so here it is (not) verbatim: What more could you possibly want from food? Exceptionally tasty, thoughtful and meticulously prepared dishes that have clearly been perfected over a long period of time, served unpretentiously and with a view of rolling fields and blue skies. Admittedly the weather was fortuitous but I can't imagine a dining experience that hits all these factors better. 100/10.

When I walked past and saw “cakery” on the door, naturally I couldn’t resist popping in. It didn’t disappoint, with a tremendous selection is a glass counter. There were the more “usual” options as well such as Victoria Sponge or Coffee & Walnut cake and even these looked quite spectacular, certainly far better than usual offerings one finds. But even if they were extra special, I thought I’d try something different and so opted for a Bakewell Blondie bar complete with half a miniature Bakewell tart on top! To be honest, it didn’t have quite the wow factor I was expecting perhaps, but it was nonetheless very good, just the right amount of sweetness, lovely and moist and a generous portion. Across the table a Rocky Road on steroids was also well received, and accompanying latte was very good too. Overall, highly recommended.

I just moved to the area recently and ordered from Thai to Go for the first time last night for 3 of us. Ordering was easy, delivery was on time and the food was delicious. All of us enjoyed every bit of our meals. Often when ordering prawn dishes, you end up with just 5 or 6 prawns but there was plenty in each of the 2 prawn dishes. All starters and mains were full of flavour. Looking forward to next time!!
