Really enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea here , the food was really fresh and delicious, a nice variety and generous portions. It was very welcoming and they couldn’t do enough for us, the service was great. I will reccommend to all my friends this place is a little gem and will definitely come back again.

Good food great value friendly and welcoming service. Thank you, just what we needed after a 3 hour drive. An omelette with everything I wanted in it, great - and pie n mash & gravy, with drinks for £15.00, what's not to like? All well cooked and tasty.

Absolutely fabulous afternoon tea. From start to finish the service was outstanding. There was so much to eat and everything was delicious. This was our first visit and will definitely not be our last. I’ve never had an afternoon tea that consisted of so much choice. Assorted sandwiches, sausage rolls. Pork pies, quiche and cheese straws. Then sweet treats such as scones with clotted cream and jam, shortbread biscuits with buttercream and ham topping, lemon cupcake and homemade fudge. Delicious

We visited for a booked Afternoon Tea. This was our first visit and I have to say it won’t be our last. What a hidden gem! It is a 50’s/60’s style place, so wonderfully retro. I have been to a lot of Afternoon Teas but this has to be the biggest I have had. We had homemade sausage rolls, wraps, scotch eggs and pork pie on the top tier then Coronation Chicken and also Tuna Mayo brioche buns and on bottom tier gorgeous Brie and cranberry and also egg mayo sandwiches on the bottom with very nice crisps. On to the second 3 tier stand with huge delicious home made apricot sponge cake, large Rock Roads and beautiful scones with jam and cream. My photos show all of this however along side all of this we also had potato salad, coleslaw, a bowl of salad with croutons and also pots of piccalilli and ploughman’s pickle. We could have unlimited tea, there was even little wrapped biscuits with the tea and a final wrapped chocolate. It was all very lovely and delicious, the staff serving us were amazing and I would 100 percent recommend a visit. They also do great lunchtime meals and we will be returning for their pie and mash with liquor/ gravy. This is a hidden gem.

Went in to this hidden gem and i got to say I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered a bacon sandwich and a coffee. The bacon was plentiful and the bread fresh. The staff were lovely and the decor was fitting. Absolutely loved everything about it and will visit again.

My wife popped in to pick up lunch for us as a treat. I had a hog roast bap which was absolutely outstanding. Mouthwatering moist pork, with beautiful crackling and gorgeous apple sauce. We frequent this cafe often and the staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is fantastic., in fact we hosted my wife's hen party and a large morning after the wedding breakfast for the wedding party here. Every food I have tried at Peaky Bakers is incredible!

We popped down to this cafe this morning to kick off a lazy Sunday and what a treat! Staff were all wonderful and nothing was to much bother. We both had the large breakfast which was fit for a King & Queen with a large pot of tea. Could not fault any part of the breakfast/staff & surroundings which to be fair has had a lot of effort put into it. My wife could not eat all her breakfast so the staff boxed it up for the dog to have later. These are the lovely peoples that also made my wife's 50th birthday cake of an awesome butterfly which was just simply magical! If you havent been then I would strongly suggest a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely awful! We went there a few weeks ago we had a table of ten, when we walked in there were three members of staff behind the bar and not one of them looked up or acknowledged us for several minutes, then when the rest of our party arrived it took 10 minutes for our server to come over to us to take a drinks order which then took another 15 minutes to arrive, another 20 minutes later then come over to take the food order, it was Sunday and most of us ordered the roast, there was a choice of three lots of meat pork, beef and lamb, all £18.95 or pork and beef for £25.95 (prices not 100% sure) when asked if we could swap the pork for lamb there said it would be an extra £4, the food then took 30 minutes to come out despite not being told there was a wait time and we had 2 young children with us. When the food arrived it was barely warm and the meat was dried out. We then asked for some more drinks, when they arrived the server put down the tray at the end of the table and took one drink off then moved it round to the side of the table and knocked the remaining 5 pints of drinks over the table and most of us including the children, one of the meals and our phones and belongings, the girl picked up they tray and come back with a roll of blue roll paper which she put on the end of the table then walked off, expecting us to clean it all up ourselves with no apology given, 5 minutes later another member of staff come over to say they would bring some more drinks over to replace them free of charge but only brought over 3 drinks despite 5 being spilt. After that 3 of us ordered puddings and when asked if we could swap cream for ice cream with one of them we were told it would be £2 extra. Overall since it has been taken over and there is new management, the staff were rude, unprofessional and at no point were we given an apology, the food was very basic and cold and the wait time was ridiculous, everything was an extra add on. It’s a shame as it use to be one of our favourite places to eat, especially with large groups, however we will not be going back. We called afterwards and asked to speak to a manager and he said he would have a word with the staff again no apology given, awful.

A lovely pub from the outside. Nice garden. Today is Mother's day so pressure on. Our meal time was booked at 2.30pm but they had over booked and we had to wait until 3pm but wasn't ready then either. Set menu for Mother's day. We had a 3 course. We were in a party of 8 no children's menu today. 2 starters ordered. Came out but waited another hour for mains to come out. Server hadn't sent other mains through to kitchen. The food was nice but servers were very clueless. No water offered or asked if we need condiments or any allergys. My crumble came out in a bowl heaped high but no room to pour custard. All very apologetic but that's it. Kept saying sorry we have had 210 bookings today. Then the bill came it was wrong some of our party had only ordered a main but was charged for 2 set meals. No attempt of free puddings for cock ups. Least the staff were pretty. I'd come again on a normal day because the venue was nicely decorated and they have a play area.

What a great place for lunch ! The service is amazing - friendly, attentive staff & nothing was too much trouble. Very dog friendly in the bar area ( they brought a bowl of water for the dog without asking) Food was v good quality, arrived in a timely fashion and served with a smile. Couldn’t fault this place & can understand why you need to book at weekends ! Will definitely be back !

This has just become our new favourite pub! Fantastic food (the chocolate and biscoff tart is to die for), lovely relaxed atmosphere and great service - our waitress (Holly) was so helpful and friendly. Thank you!
