Twenty six members of our Southport Friendship group lunched there today, (16/05/23) Food good, staff perfect. This was our second time there, and we'll go back..

We’ve lived in Southport over 15 years and didn’t even know about Jessie’s Cavern, it’s neatly tucked away next to the travelodge at the south end of Lord Street. Only discovered it via Southport eats food delivery App and so pleased we did. The Sunday roast was delicious 😋 roast beef with fabulous Yorkshire puds , boiled and roast potatoes with freshly cooked carrots , green beans and a pot of yummy gravy. Now we’ve discovered this place we will be ordering again from here. Thanks for a lovely meal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were staying in Travelodge Southport which is very near to Jessie cavern. Not really spotted this little gem of a place to eat. We had just bobbed to the car and on the way back to Travelodge I saw the chef and just tried the door, it opened he was really nice and said no problem that we had a dog with us and could go in the bar side of the establishment. It was a Sunday and fancied a Sunday lunch out. We went back at about 12.15. we were made very welcome. A young waitress came and said about the lunch and took our order. It has a lovely clean feel. Comfortable chairs and nice atmosphere. We were soon served with a hot, beef dinner. Yummy roasties, new potatoes, fresh carrots, green beans and roast beef perfectly cooked. A jug of gravy came too. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Having looked at the menu and having been made so welcome we wish we had visited earlier in the week as we were going home the next day. The menu is very reasonably priced and well worth walking to the establishment. They do evening events too. The Sunday lunch was priced at £9.95 and very well worth it. Highly recommended by my friend and I and certainly my friends dog who was made welcome. When in Southport we would certainly return. Anyone staying at Travelodge it is a hidden gem for a meal. Thank you for a wonderful Sunday lunch.

WE took a group of eighteen from the Southport Friendship Group, there for lunch today. Wonderful food, well priced, and the staff worked their socks off looking after us. We will be returning here. Thanks to Roy and his chef, and of course, the young lady who helped Roy to serve us.

Noticed menu whilst walking past and saw rump steak advertised at £7.50. Thought it might be a misprint or steak would be a minute steak or something similar. To our delight It was a generous and well cooked beautiful piece of genuine rump. We're regular attendees now. All the food and service is great with unbeatable prices, especially with prices going up constantly elsewhere. It's at the quiet end of Lord Street so slightly off the beaten track but well worth a visit (in our case several visits so far, going there for Sunday lunch tomorrow), I'm not family or friend. I promise you this is a genuine review.

Called in with 2 friends having received a flyer during the Southport flower show. Really impressed with the friendly staff. I went for the chicken, cheese and bacon dish and it was delicious. My friends both went for the steak, which they also described as delicious. Both dishes came with chips, mushrooms and other accompaniments, really reasonably priced. So good, we went back the next day. We were advised that the meats are sourced from a top notch local butcher and it shows, no stringy, fatty chewy gristle here, top quality meat, beautifully cooked.

We went to Southport on a new year's break. We found the Wellington by accident while looking for somewhere to watch the world darts on TV. It really is a gem of a local pub and the staff were so accommodating to us. Plenty of good beer including craft ale hand pulls at extremely reasonable prices. Thanks guys, highly recommended.

Just had an excellent bacon, sausage and cheese toastie (with chilli sauce); and a goats cheese, pesto, tomato and rocket focaccia. Best quality in Ainsdale! And loads of goodies on the shelves.

Went for brunch. Took a while to decide what to choose as there are so many things to choose from. I had the corned beef hash with spicy beans,.. my mother had a mushroom omelette. Both were piping hot an delicious. Will definitely call in again before I leave the area.

Ordered a breakfast wrap & it was delicious the wrap was big enough to hold entire filling in place.. no dripping or unfolding which would cause a messy eat. Fast delivery & food hot on arrival will absolutely order from flight 22 again well done guys & thank you :)
