Went for Christmas meal and oh my word what an amazing place. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, really warm welcome on arrival, great tasting food. As a wheelchair user, it was really accessible with an automatic door as well making it easy to get in. Highly recommend, we'll definitely be back. Thank you everyone at St Lawrence cafe, you are all amazing.

Great authentic Portuguese cuisine. My partner is from Lisbon and we both really enjoyed. The owner was also very friendly and chatty. A nice relaxed atmosphere, nothing too fancy.

Ordered a take away as we was staying above the restaurant at the airbnb that's hosted by the owners, the food was delicious and there are a lot of good options for vegetarians/vegans. And the owner brought us some plates and cutlery which was very kind. Would definitely recommend

Had a fantastic stay here at the very end of March. Lovely boutique type of hotel. Owners and staff so friendly and helpful. Changed one of our rooms to a more suitable one after we arrived with no problem at all. Our evening meal was really special and delicious as was breakfast in the morning. Great unique building in a great location. Will definitely be going back. Lovely cocktails too
After recommendations from a friend our party was very excited to go to this restaurant.
The waiting staff were very efficient and friendly the food was very good.
Unfortunately the owner did not seem very inviting?
My friend ordered a water as she was a designated driver which was received by an eye roll, by the manager.
Upon paying we were told that 1 party member did not arrive so we would need to pay the bill for this but the owner would wave this if we left a tip for the floor staff, we chose to pay the meal and was abruptly told that we had not also left a tip, because the staff has worked very hard.
One of the floor staff spilled a tray of food over another friend which was mortifying for the waitress bless her we understand it was an accident. (this did stain our friends white jacket) but the manager did not address this or apologise at the end of the evening.
To summarise:
*Waiting Staff friendly and did work hard
*Food nice
*Vegan option not great I would not say *vegan friendly, but humous and bread was lovely.
*Manager brought the atmosphere down and made us feel unwelcome. For this reason I would not return unfortunately.
Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with my visit to Meze Turkish Restaurant. While the staff were friendly and welcoming, the overall experience didn’t live up to expectations, especially if you’re looking for authentic Turkish cuisine.
The food lacked flavour, and the bread was noticeably hard. One of the biggest telltale signs for me that this wasn’t an authentic Turkish restaurant was how the dish was served: the meat was placed separately from the rice, rather than on top, which meant the rice didn’t absorb any of the rich oils and flavours from the meat something that’s so essential in traditional Turkish cooking.
The atmosphere was also underwhelming. There was little to no vibe in the space, which made the dining experience feel quite flat. As it stands, I wouldn’t return for another meal.

Called in for supplies while on a long bike ride, and honestly couldn't have received a better welcome. Seemed a lovely pub with locals and visitors on a Saturday evening, I'll be back soon to spend some more time thoroughly testing the faire!
