The Boot, my favourite pub, lovely real fire, great beers

Brilliant all round!!!! Pizza was homemade and delightful. Good cask ales - very happy. Woman at the bar on 10/08/2024 was super helpful and friendly, as was the owner and his son. Highly recommend

Fantastic village pub serving local beers and good food. Recommended! A brilliant atmosphere and Ron, Ruth and all the staff are really welcoming - and a beer garden to boot (pun intended!). Also - look out for the Open Mic days which are definitely worth a visit!

Stopped off at the end of a long, wet hike. Very friendly and welcoming with great food and decent cider. Seems to have a wine crowd.

Great pub, great atmosphere, great beer, great food My better half and I called in this evening (a bank-holiday Saturday evening) for an “quick evening meal”; everything about our visit excelled! The staff are warm and friendly – not just the staff, but all who seem to visit here too. To drink, I had one of the best pints of beer I’ve had in years – I believe there is an art in keeping good beer, and if there is, then there is a craftsman at work here! We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal, good food served with heart – don’t underestimate that last ingredient, imho it’s what can make a good meal great. I’d unreservedly recommend the Boot when you’re Tisbury, all ingredients needed are here for a good night – hope you enjoy as we did … just for fun you can tell them Simon said to call in

Great food and even better service. We turned up with 7 dogs and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. We'll definitely come back again.

Always a pleasure to pop into the boot, they’ve looked after us time and time again at short notice in large groups as our archaeology project as well as being a fantastic place for a swift pint or two after a hard day. Whole team is fantastic!

A thoroughly enjoyable Friday family lunch. Firstly, the beer was excellent. The choice of meals was very wide ranging, which made our coeliac and vegan members of the family very happy. We ate lasagne, fish and chips, chilli, nut roast and vegan curry and all were excellent. Tasty range of puds were enjoyed too. Natalie was attentive and friendly and accommodating of our inquisitive toddler! Highly recommended.

Lunch today was delicious, served by cheerful multi-tasking barman and accompanied by a pint of well-kept Pitch Perfect . The pub itself is old, very atmospheric and welcoming. Plenty of lucky locals at the bar and we would love to return soon!

Had a team after work meal and it was excellent!

We passed through Tisbury after visiting some nearby castle ruins and was looking for a bite to eat. We stopped off at The Benett Arms although they didn’t serve meals for brunch so they recommended The Boot Inn instead. It was a lovely cosy Inn that served super tasty food, I ordered a glass of lemonade and their pub classic burger which was slightly pricey (around £17) but still delicious. We sat outside in the pub garden which was super lovely, there was also a gazebo in place if it ever rained (thankfully the weather was gorgeous and sunny ☀️). The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming and I’d love to visit again sometime in the near future!

We had a good chicken tikka and fudge cake. Really nice people and place. Thoroughly enjoyed it

Wonderful trad pub. Only place I know that has Gravity feed beers on in north Dorset. A true beer lovers haven kept running in the way publicans should do them.

Good pub grub. Roasts on Sunday, however make sure you book!!!

Been working in the vicinity of the boot in for a couple of weeks now and usually go for a couple of pints and food with the lads on a Thursday.. the boot inn has been one of the best local boozers the lads have been in for a long time.. staff are fantastic and food is also really nice.. ANDIDRAIN lads fully recommend.

A welcoming old village pub up from the Tisbury High Street. A couple of lagers, a cider and Guinness on tap, pub grub served including pizza and curry witha specials board too. Cosy atmosphere and worth a visit. Nice outdoor area in the summer

Some of the staff as not as it use to be. Still a nice old fashioned pub, but it if you can accept the risk of your food order going missing, then it's OK. Garden is its strong point.

The Boot is an amazing little find! Exceptional customer service, exceptional food and an exceptional drinks list. It was our first visit but it was definetly a 10/10! Thoroughly enjoyed by all my family. Lived in Tisbury 4 years and only wish we had visited sooner x

A great welcoming pub, the staff and the locals were very friendly. We sat in the garden to eat lunch which was lovely as the weather was good. They also had a marquee if the weather wasn't great, the food was a good price and a good selection on the menu. We walked to the pub but I think there was parking available, I'd definitely return again as I enjoyed the atmosphere.

I think this is my favourite pub friendly staff ,cosy fire,good selection of beer and cider and food is good value and excellent quality . Not hard to find an excuse to visit.

Good service and wonderful atmosphere, the food was sub-par and felt a bit generic, I’d come again for drinks but maybe not stay for dinner. may be due to under staffing due to Covid.

Sat in the garden right now after our family of four meals, great service, great food and great atmosphere, asked for gravy for our sons chips and they made it straight away, obvious why this restaurant has only 1 one star review out of 108, they must of been just sad people, I will be leaving with a full belly and a tip on the table, well done to the whole team

We visited here from Birmingham as we were taking our daughter to Stonehenge. Walked in and was greeted by the manager and the locals. :) I had the Madras which was beautiful! My daughter had the homemade fish pie which she loved. My partner had the steak which he said was cooked to perfection. After dinner we sat outside and watched the beautiful old grey horse. Would definitely visit again.
