Superb location, interesting menu and very attentive service

One of the best Spicy Margarita's I've had and the salmon dumplings were to die for. Great service too. A hidden gem.

Longest wait for them to cook the food , why aren't there chips and sausages cooked ready for customers? Service was fine and polite, but all the food was all served back to front, sausages and fish under the chips and soggy and the pineapple fritter squashed between 2 boxes so therefore ended up with no batter ... chips were so incredibly over cooked or possibly even recooked they were empty chips but super hard . So disappointed after reading all the good reviews . Definitely would not recommend or return .

My husband and I go to Oranmore Restaurant regularly the house itself is charming and the location is easy access to local attractions. From the minute you walk in the front door the ambience is so relaxing and welcoming, the staff are friendly and very attentive. The food is consistently fantastic and it's definitely one of my favourite restaurants. I'd highly recommend a private function or just a relaxing date night. Oranmore definitely deserves a full five stars! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

I took my 14 year old daughter here for her first tasting menu experience and it was fantastic. The team are exceptional, attentive without being overbearing, friendly and amusing, passionate about food but not in any way pretentious. They made my daughter feel at ease and clearly adapted their script for each course for her benefit. The food is really great. The hors doeuvres and the sweets at the end were both a delightful and delicious surprise. I am coeliac so need gluten free versions and the chefs adapted the menu without any perceived bother which is reassuring as most of us don't really like making a fuss or having a fuss made of us! Most of the beers are Gun Brewery ones which are also gluten free. The setting is awesome. Oak beamed ceilings highlighting the origins of the building along with a premium, modern decorative finish. I would thoroughly recommend Chalk to anyone for a treat of an evening out, particularly if you're gluten free.

We go out once a week for a treat (not easy in the current financial climate). We decided to visit Macleods Restaurant for lunch. The staff were great, very helpful and pleasant throughout. But we felt let down with the food. There are only 5 main courses on offer, yet one was not available (the burger) as it had not been delivered! Really, you can’t manage to have 5 options delivered and available. We both had the fish and chips, and both of us found the batter heavy and greasy, so we left the batter. Finally, we discovered on paying that a 10% tip was added without notifying us or mentioning it in any way; it was just added to the bill and then included in the total. You shouldn’t just include it in the total and it is not acceptable to put customers in the position of having to ask you to remove a tip from the bill. Money is tight enough without this type of practice, so sadly we won’t be visiting again.

Chose outside table. Went inside for menus. Told service would be to table. Waited 20 minutes. Nobody came. Went to Cutter Inn

Llamé aquí un sábado por la mañana hacía mucho calor y había condensación corriendo por las ventanas. La señora que nos sirvió rechazó una petición muy simple que otros cafés nos han obligado. La comida era de muy mala calidad, especialmente las salchichas que eran horribles y el resto no era mucho mejor, lo siento, pero no volveremos.

Mrs G's, home of a great breakfast, if you want smashed avocado on sour dough go somewhere else! Sadly closing for good in under 2 weeks. RIP
