We stopped here with our grandchildren after our visit to the Cathedral.
Simple lunch menu sandwiches, jacket potatoes cream & savoury teas etc.
The children were pleased with their mini monks lunchbox, I chose the full monks bacon & stilton sandwich (plus crisps cake & drink). Fairly priced restricted seating inside, it was a nice so we chose an outside table.

I always pop in here for a latte and bacon toasted sandwich whilst my son plays football.
Very pleasant and friendly staff. Great food and tasty coffee!

First time visiting today for my birthday lunch and it was wonderful. All the staff were so friendly & attentive, especially the gentlemen hosting who sorted us a table and gifted me a cake for a birthday treat! The soup and toasties were very tasty, you could tell it was all fresh & homemade, and the coffee was very good. This will be a firm favourite of ours now - thank you to all at The Stables!

Open-air beer garden, with wooden tables (a little small) but the place is worth it, I ordered 2 beers, the waiters were very nice, knowing that we were foreigners. The music they play is very lively. I recommend it to you, when you are in town in passing.
We've taken to lunching here whenever we have a trip up to Petersfield as their Lasagne is delicious. Good Coffee. Service can be a bit chaotic when busy, but it is popular so expect that. We always pick up a couple of extras for a Sunday night treat & the deli has some interesting items to purchase too.
Great refill / natural products shop a couple of doors down too.
We arrived at 7 p.m. and were lucky to get a table. The restaurant was pretty much full. I recommend making a reservation.
Inside, it was clean and presentable. It's a good-sized restaurant with two dining areas and a good ambience.
The staff are attentive and very friendly. Even though they were busy, they took the time to talk to us.
The menu was varied.
We had the onion bhaji, three good-sized bhajis to share, poppadoms, and all the sauces. They were delicious.
We ordered the vegan biriyani and the chicken balti. Both were good-sized portions and very tasty. The balti had one chilli pepper symbol and was the perfect heat. The vegan biryani came with a bread topping on the rice with jack fruit at the bottom. We had never seen this before, and it was terrific.
Do not be in a hurry. They were quite busy, and it took time to get drinks, order, bill etc., but I had no issue as the staff were great, and the food was amazing.
We would highly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back. Well done.

Absolutely love this place! Been twice now and both times it was fantastic. The team are really friendly and welcoming and full of banter! š The food is phenomenal, decor is beautiful and it's very clean. Couldn't ask for anything more. Will definitely be back.
We visited here for breakfast and I have to say it was the best full English breakfast I have had for a while , definitely get down here and have a bite to eat or just a drink .
A wonderful restaurant run by equally wonderful people! I ate here regularly as a student, and itās always my first food stop whenever I return to St. Andrews. The food is fantasticāespecially the paninisāand the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. If you're in St. Andrews, this is a spot you definitely donāt want to miss!
