Station House in Carmarthenshire

Not being from Whitland but the owner Mike and staff have all ways made me feel welcome shame more pubs are not like Mike I have not got anything bad to say about the station house and staff

Working down this way for a while . Possibly the nicest breakfast I've ever had . Great place to visit 😀 Great atmosphere.. Great staff . All round quality 👌

Chris and the team are very welcoming and the food was great. Burger and curly fries definitely recommended, very generous portions and well priced!

Had a chicken curry from here it was a tined curry and tasted really bad . Had a few breakfasts here and is pretty good. But won't return after today's meal. Staff was friendly enough.

Got stuck in Whitland as the train to Tenby was cancelled staff were fantastic super friendly and we had a great bit of banter with the staff. Our time there was the highlight of our day. I would say this is more 10 stars than five stars. Thank you for making our day a whole lot better

Great place to wait for your train. There is even an electronic display with live updates of train arrivals.

Stunning Sunday lunch here. The family really enjoyed. Really tasty and the portion size was huge. We had 2 beef and 2 chicken dinners and I would highly recommend. The staff were very friendly and very polite . Would definitely go back .

Called up on off the chance on: 05/05/24 for Sunday Dinner. Was quite lucky to be able to get Sunday Dinner in fairness. Bar man was very welcoming and friendly too. He directed us to our table and our Sunday Dinner arrived within 5-10mins upon arriving! The waiter was extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us! Asked for our bill which was fantastic for the price and what we had. Great Food, Great Service, Great Value for Money! Thank you to all at Station House!

Top venue. Quality food and quality beer. Proper pub run by a lovely land lord and lady. Your missing out if you go to Whitland and don't visit the station house.

A lovely beer garden with plenty of seating, welcoming staff. Rotating real ale, Sunday night bingo as well as other events throughout the year, and a live train update screen.

Stopped in for a meal on our way back from a holiday. Even though it was a Monday lunchtime and there were 10 of us, the friendly staff were able to provide us with lovely food at great price and all at the same time. Very impressed and will definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

Well, such a nice pub for a Sunday lunch or just cheesy chips waiting for a delayed train. Jolly landlord and splendid team. Really good real ale but the felinfoel was a bit wishy-washy. But I am spoilt with Adnams... Cheers Station House

Excellent food in outdoor booth. The pub looks a little rough from the carpark but the garden was lovely. The extensive menu suggests this is standard pub food but the quality and quantity was great. Service was exceptionally friendly and quick. They even had a bowl of water for the dog.

Wow what a great place! Met with a friendly smile. Good pub food and beer at a great price and they welcome dogs. Cannot recommend this pub highly enough, if you are in the area well worth a visit.

Always had fantastic food here every time we visit my brother in law. A large range of ciders, ales and beer. The Vegan options are amazing too as my wife is Vegan.... A great vibe to the place and the staff are amazing. We need to get down for a rugby game because I bet the pace will be bouncing... 😎

Lovely space to sit and eat outside with some shade. Food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Some parking available nearby.

Lovely dog friendly pub. We stopped for lunch today and enjoyed the beer garden with our 2 dogs. The service was really friendly and efficient, lovely touch from the team when they delivered our meals they delivered dog treats for our dog family. We had cheese and onion toasted sandwiches with a side of chips and a couple of soft drinks for under £20. The food was hot and fresh. Scored a 4 just because the menu is a bit limited but we would go back as the food we had was good, fresh and complimented by lovely service.

A simple, standard breakfast. But cooked to perfection (even with my weird preferences). Genuinely upset that it’s a 70 mile trip to get there. Best breakfast I’ve had since I don’t know when.

Cold hard part frozen chips, peas like bullets, meat content inedible. How the so called cook can screw thus up is beyond me. Manager needs personal skills of some sort. Waited to order food in full face view of him but he ignored me, stares hideously and made me wait for the bar woman to return and serve me. He was more interested in watching women's rugby on the huge screen. Never again.

Rocked up unannounced as the The Roadhouse down the road wouldn’t allow dogs. We were well impressed, lovely friendly staff, good service and the Sunday Roast Fantastic value for money @£10 a head. Sky TV too! Well worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Probably the best pub I've visited since moving to Wales. A diverse range of real ales, good cellar craft, reasonable prices and a warm welcome. The food's good, too.

ate for our anniversary but would not go again friendly staff but felt uncomfortable with language we heard at bar food rubbish over cooked hard fish frozen chips(hate them) coleslaw salad & peas with cod awful hubby had ham he liked the eggs poor pathetic meal hungery so had to ask for more chips wont go again

Great place, great crowd and great food. The beer garden is first class with roofed wooden cubicles with TV screens for 'events' etc. Even have USB charging in the beer garden. The Station House BTW is next to Whitland railway station, hence the name. Also live train times are displayed on a screen in the bar if your after a swift one while you wait for a train!

I had a meal on Friday night, really good food and a reasonable price, a good atmosphere and very friendly staff. I also had breakfast on Sunday morning ,a medium one, excellent breakfast, and fantastic price. Well worth a visit

My wife and I had a meal here today, which was fantastic, lovely food, fab staff good beer, a proper pub. We are back this way in December with our extended family and will definitely be back in a few times, keep up the good work😁👍

Lovely pub inside with good selection of drinks and food, friendly staff polite and chatty. My miss has had food previously in hear and commented how nice it was! We and some friends had a Sunday roast there just this weekend, and for ourselves it was bland not much tast to it! But would I go back? Yes we may have had 1 meal not so good but! It doesn't mean we will have 2! would definitely try this place again.

Staying locally on holiday we found this place quite by chance and went in for a bite because we were hungry not a special occasion and Whitland is just a working town. Nothing out of the ordinary. So in we went with 3 dogs. What we found was a fantastic traditional pub with ALL the ingredients. Super friendly locals enjoying an old fashioned pub atmosphere, all said hello and many stroked the dogs as we went past. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was excellent and reasonably priced Enjoyed it so much we went back on a Friday night and found more of the same. Good, traditional, friendly pub with excellent food (we had Curry / Steak / Pies) all at a decent price. Don't waste your money in the tourist transonic, this is one to treasure. *ps. Whitland itself is a warm and friendly town, ideal base to explore the area

Lovely pub, friendly staff, serves sunday roasts but booking early is essential, but they also do off the menu, lovely outside seating in your own hut with tv in some and heaters, lovely reasonable meals.

Visited a few times, manager/owner extremely rude, no customer service skills whatsoever. Food is okay, nothing special. Disappointing as this could be a lovely place with the right management/ownership.

Great pub food, friendly service, and nice local ale on draught. Sheltered beer garden and caters for various allergies and diets - the vegan Shepherd's pie was excellent. Kids welcome too.
