The White Swan Inn in Carmarthenshire

Beautiful pub, been coming to this area for years and only just found this place just of the main street with parking opposite, food was absolutely delicious, large portions too.

Absolutely amazing Welsh dishes and perfect home cooked jacket spud!!!. Lovely food, huge portions and very friendly staff. Thank you for a lovely evening for this family of four. We are now going to roll home very content!

Very disappointed !! Eaten here a couple of years ago or so and food was excellent but this time not good at all. Must be a change of chef / not a good move !

Normally the food arrives really quickly. It was only nachos but took well over half an hour and they weren't busy. It was quite burnt at the top, not enough cheese and no bbq sauce, which was requested.

Food is always amazing, great atmosphere, dog friendly. We love coming back!

We have been before and return every time we are in the area. Went in 4 times while there and there was always plenty of food to choose from. Very friendly owner & staff. Hopefully we will be back as can’t rate this pub highly enough.

We visited the White Swan on two consecutive evenings for an evening meal. We chose it because it was dog friendly. We found it to be fantastic. The food, staff, drinks and ambience were truly fantastic. Can't wait to go back on our next visit to the area.

Another enjoyable Sunday lunch served by very friendly staff where nothing was any trouble at all if needed as observed from other customers requests. Parking is straight forward with plenty of close proximity options available if the free of charge Community Council car park is full. The welcome from the landlord’s team is always genuine and caring with names and close family references always refereed to - diolch Dylan, Janet & Kevin. We limited ourselves to the main course but often have two and again tasty and plentiful with a great range of vegetables and waiter served drinks. A lovely atmosphere sat amongst locals, and holidaymakers all thoroughly enjoying ourselves.

Hidden gem of a place, just off the main road. Lovely friendly accommodating staff. Took our nervous greyhound in there and they were kind to him. Sat us where we were out the way of too many people and got him some water. The food is amazing and it came very quickly. Generous portions, plenty of choice for all tastes. Great value for money. Had we stayed in the area for longer we would definitely have gone back. Would highly recommend.

Eat here two nights in July. We had two wonderful meals and the service was excellent. You cant fault the food and at a reasonable price. After getting back from a 8 mile hike to find a meal that was excellent and plenty on the plate... We will be back..

This was the first time we had been into the pub. We had a meal and to say it was good is a understatement it was fantastic. The price was in my humble opinion very good and to be honest I come from Yorkshire. So if you are in the area and fancy a excellent meal give it a try

This place is a little gem. Staying in the area for three nights we nipped in for a drink on night one as a sort of reconnaissance mission for having a meal on night three. Menu looked good so we booked. So glad we did, nicest meal we’ve had in ages. I had the gammon and the wife had Chicken Cymru. All of it was excellent but a special shout out to the chips! Best chips we’ve had in a very long time. If you’re passing through Llanon stop off here, it’s excellent.

Lovely local pub with absolutely brilliant food, portions were a good size and all fresh. The service and reassuring checks during our visit was great. The pub is situated off the main road with parking opposite, dog & kid friendly with a few arcade type machines to lighten your pockets (but it keeps them quiet). Good array of drinks and beers. If in the are worth a visit for a bite to eat and a liquid refreshment.

On holiday for a few days and found this pub 3 minutes walk from where we were staying. Wide range of meals to choose from, lovely staff and nice eating area. Husband had soup of the day which was carrot and coriander, he said it was very nice. Mains were Chicken Cymru for hubby and I had the most delicious lamb shank. The chips were lovely and crispy, the lamb shank was so tender and a very tasty minted gravy. We both decided on a raspberry pavlova sundae for pudding and left happily full and enjoyed our visit. A recommended must to visit if around the area.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at the White Swan, the staff were very welcoming and attentive. Was pleasantly surprised to see they are dog friendly too. The food was the best we have had locally with generous portion sizes and a modest price tag! My son would highly recommend the chicken tikka massala and my youngest who sometimes can be classed as a fussy eater said his pizza was the best he's ever had!! Puddings were something we didn't expect to order but with an offering that good, how could we not!! The syrup sponge and custard was particularly yum!! After dinner the children went off ro explore and found a lovely games area outside with air hockey and a bouncy castle. Inside a great pool table to while away an evening. Honestly we will be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for great food and excellent service.

Good service. Good vegan options. Try the beetroot Wellington. The beer is not shabby either. We loved it.

This pub is just great a lovely welcome, nice selection of drinks and food was outstanding wife had 8oz steak and all the trimmings I had mix grill & all the trimmings definitely be making this one regular. Ian & mandy

We went to this very dog friendly pub twice on consecutive nights. The first nights meal, mixed grill for me and gammon for my wife were large and really good. Tonight my wife had carrot and coriander soup followed by fish cake, I had spicy wings and beef madras. There was plenty of food and it was well presented and very tasty, pub curries can be bland but this madras had a nice taste and kick to it. Service was friendly and efficient so if you are passing through Llanon, check out the White Swan, it's only 100m from the main street

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They catered for my food intolerance by offering alternatives.

Very good outside space with friendly Staff . But be aware that some of the food ( cod and plaice ) are very poor quality , which is a shame as the rest of the meals were tasty .

I walked in and the barmaid Sian, recognised I had a visual impairment instantly. After that she was so helpful to the point that I found myself holding back the tears because this experience for a visually impaired person is so so rare now a days, I was taken aback. Il come back just because of her. She is a testament to how society should be.

We we’re staying in a cottage just down the road from The White Swan. It is a dog friendly pub so it fitted the bill very well. Had lunch in the outside area, the food was lovely and the four of us really enjoyed it. The lady serving us that day was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed including water and treats for the dogs. Food prices were good especially for the portion sizes. Menu has something for everyone’s taste. Definitely recommend this lovely little pub.

From the front of this pub, it’s deceiving. Open the front door and explore to find how massive it is. Excellent indoor spaces with wonderfully generous outside area to soak up the spring sun. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. The food is generously portioned for the price with excellent flavour. We had curry with all the trimmings for £12.95. If mildly hungry one plate would serve two people. A definite must visit on your travels.

What a awesome pub, looks super cosy from the street, but get inside and there is loads of space! The food was super tasty and the beers washed it all done nicely.

We visited here on our way back from New Quay. Just off the main road. Looks rather small from the front but very deceiving. Lots of tables and chairs. Food was good value for the portion size. We was served by a lovely lady. They had an offer on a curry and drink so we had that and also fish and chips. The fish is not like fish from the chip shop. Car parking opposite and lots of seating outside the back also.
