West End Fish and chips in Carmarthenshire

Been coming to West End Cafe for many years now and never been disappointed. The food is very tasty and very reasonably priced. The Cafe is very clean and good location, with some parking outside. The staff are always polite and helpful and nothing is too much for them. Thank you for being the best chippy in town. See you all soon. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

One of the best fish and chips I have had in a long time. We arrived near closing time - but the gentleman gladly took our order and served a large thick flaky piece of cod. Definitely worth trying.

My family and I had an amazing time, everyone is soo hospitable especially the owner khalid. The fish and sausages are great and really do have an authentic taste. Overall we had a great time!

On my way home from a day out I popped into camarthen and had a good value cracking fish and chips, one of the best I've had in a long time will be comming back with the family soon

I had the biggest chips in here that I ever had. Big chunky chips,golden in colour, cooked just right,not greasy at all. Well done everybody. I most definarley will return.

In the 55 years I’ve walked on God’s green earth, this was the best plate of cod, chips & mush peas (with a round of bread & butter on the side) I have ever eaten. Superb by any measure. Thank you.

Great peice of fish 🐟 it was cooked fresh, tasted fresh and the batter was beautifully crisp, very limited grease too which was nice, Ordering and collecting was easy and the restaurant is very very clean and smell free, although I do like the smell of a good chippy. The chips were OK, very chunky cut chips not a massive fan myself but there weren't bad , they tasted just fine, the chips where also freshly cooked while we waited are where fluffy and crisp. In all a good munch

Tasted like oven chip, very disappointed after reading other reviews

I found the West End fish and chip shop very welcoming and was very pleased with my purchase. With polite hard working staff buying my meals was easy and stress free as it was on a Friday evening. The fish was lovely, the chips were a bit scrappy but all in all I was well fed .So with great value for money it's 4 out 5 from me. Thank you West End fish and chip shop !!!

Friendly staff and quick service. I had the fish and chips with the Irish curry sauce. The chips were delightfully crunchy, the fish was lovely and flakey and the batter wasn't too thick and the curry sauce just topped everything off. The portions are large and could easily feed 2 people.

Chips were not fresh chips - more like frozen. Absolutely disgusting & prices were extremely expensive.

We both had fish and chips one small and one large. Both were huge and thr chips were thick and soft but crunchy at the same time. The Fish was just right and not to thick in batter. Highly recommend this Chippy and would use again if ever in the area again. Definitely one to try.

We’re on holiday visiting for the week and this fish and chips was the best me and my husband have ever had! Such lovely staff, super speedy service! Prices were so reasonable and the food quality and quantity was outstanding!!! We were so impressed. We know when we go back home this will be the place we miss the most!! It was absolutely delicious.

Amazing food and reasonably priced. The chips are cooked in their own oil so they're suitable for vegetarians too.

Excellent quality food and reasonable prices. Portions are generous and well presented. The seating area is a little tired although very clean. Probably the best chips I've had in Camarthen. On street parking available on street or nearby carpark.

We were looking for a chippy and found this place, staff were very friendly and service good. The food was great lovely & hot, the chips were delicious, the best i’ve ever tasted, fluffy in the inside and crispy on the outside, good side portions as well!!

Called 8n tonight after a sudden trip to hospital (hubby sliced the top of his finger off at work) was informed by the young lady that it was take away only due to time and closing. So we were about to fund somewhere we could sit down and wind down, until the lovely man behind the counter told us we could sit in as long as we're were finished in 20 mins (closing time). We had a fab meal, we weren't pressured to leave or any sideway glances etc.. I was very grateful to have a lovely, well cooked hot meal after a busy day at work followed by a chaotic evening... I thanked them profusely as we left, a very kind gesture, when most business wouldn't care or accommodate. Not only that but they serve the best chips, not over or under cooked and nothing is too much trouble. I've been going to the West end for years and will continue to do so
