i've been coming for years. This place is a little gem. The food is impeccable. The staff everything you could hope for. mangalorean is a firm fav.

One of the best 'Authentic' Indian food in the UK. The chef has done a great job- knows her spices very well. Good sized serving. The wetting staff is simply fantastic! (Plz open a branch near Oxford!)

I had the splendid taster menu. Just great food and service. Best Indian I have been to. Near Putney Bridge underground station on the District line , Wimbledon branch. Coming back here with friends. Just wished I lived closer.....

My boyfriend and I were busting from the states and wanted to try an Indian cuisine. We strolled around Fulham and came across this restaurant. We started out with the papad (mango chutney was my fave). And then we had the lamb tacos (some spice but totally doable.) I got the mangalorean chicken and my boyfriend got the lamb sukke. The service was great and the servers were personable. We had a great time!

Food was fantastic and service was just as good. 10/10 would recommend if looking for Indian food.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST INDIAN ME AND MY PARTNER HAD!!! And I mean this from the bottom of my heart!!! Such great food!!! I've come across flavors I never knew even existed!!! Like the brownie dessert with Gulab. The Pistachio chicken curry!!! The colour was like a pistachio and the taste was absolutely out of this world. And the sharer starter was amazing too. Words don't do justice to how good the food was. All the members of staff were so friendly and special thanks to the young gentleman who is from Mumbai and talked us through every dish and suggested which dip is for which part of the starter. And the gentleman behind the bar who made a very good suggestion for the desert too. And the third gentleman, who looked after us as well with a very good friendly manner. Special thanks to the Chef and anyone in the kitchen making these amazingly looking and tasteful dishes. People!!! If you're in doubt about visiting, do not hesitate!!!! Go!!! You won't regret it.

I recently dined at Pure Indian Cooking and had an exceptional experience. The manager, Swapnil, was incredibly hospitable, ensuring that our visit was memorable. For a standout experience, I highly recommend trying the Patra Chaat—it’s a delightful burst of flavors. The Dal Makhani is a must-try, perfectly rich and creamy. Don’t miss the Sizzling Brownie for dessert; it’s a spectacular finish to a fantastic meal. Overall, Pure Indian Cooking delivers both excellent service and outstanding dishes.

The restaurant was recommended to us and we were extremely impressed with the food. During our 1 week stay in London we stopped by Pure Indian cooking twice. I've never had such delicious Indian food before. They have many of their own, very delicious dishes, but can also prepare classic dishes if you wish. I am a vegetarian myself and can therefore say with a clear conscience that there is a good selection for vegetarians too. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. I will recommend the restaurant at any time!

Today we went here. We didn't have a reservation and they were so accommodating. I left my backpack which had previous items of our Angel baby and the kind staff delivered it back to me 😓 you will never understand how previous this act was 💙 Food was so delicious. Service exceptional constantly insuring we had our water filled and all the food and sides and sauces we kept requesting all accommodated for. Best Indian experience. This restaurant was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. There were many dishes on the menu that were unknown to us and that we tried on the recommendation of the house, although they also prepared traditional dishes for us. The food was really excellent and the service was very friendly. We'd love to come back!

My family and I enjoyed a delicious meal last night at Pure Indian Cooking restaurant. From starters to mains and side dishes, each dish was unique and vibrant. A real gem find in Putney & Fulham. The service was also very attentive and our waiter's recommendations were spot on. Thank you for a lovely meal, we will be returning soon :)

Pure Indian Cooking was a recommendation and I am so glad we went. This is not a regular high street curry house. Everything is different. Each dish is unusual, the creation of the chef from her own experience of cooking from the whole of the Indian sub continent. The flavours are delicate and arrive on the palate in layers. It is food to eat slowly and savour. The service was fantastic - time was taken to explain each dish and to make recommendations. We will definitely be back again- and soon.

We’re two New Yorkers visiting London and have to say—this was exactly the kind of meal we not only wanted but needed on our trip! Homey atmosphere with friendly service and fantastic food (make sure to try any of the tandoori dishes and the biryani was extra flavorful.) Even my brother, who is trepidatious about Indian food, loved the meal. If you’re looking for great comfort Indian food with interesting and exciting twists, we can’t recommend it enough!

SO GOOD! Was looking for somewhere authentic and glad we went here. The signature chaat was sensational. I can eat this everyday. And the paneer saag and chicken curry was really delicious. Service was amazing. defo gonna come again😌

I think the food is pretty decent and upto standards ! I had tried the kebabs here which were a 5/5 Chole was 3.5/5 and could have been better Garlic Naan had no garlic at all so a 2/5 What I would recommend is to focus on the meat here ! Also their orange tamarind chicken tikka was a good find and a nice one ! Do try if you like sweet and savory !

Great place, great staff, great food!

We visited for dinner on a Saturday. With their generic name I expected a basic place, but it was reasonably well appointed inside. My family of 2 adults and 2 young kids ordered the starter sharing board, breadcrumbed chicken, pistachio chicken, lamb sukke, dal makhani, some rice and an assortment of naans. For dessert we tried the gulab jamun brownie and a couple of ice creams. The food was mostly decent, in particular we enjoyed the dal makhani and most items on the starter sharing board. Desserts were a weak point with the brownie being quite basic and the ice cream selection not stored well (lots of icicles). It was a lot of food and we packed some to take home. Service was friendly and initially quite efficient as we were one of the first people there, but for the second half of the meal we really struggled to get anyone’s attention, and it took ages both to place the dessert order and then wait for dessert to arrive. The issue in my view was the restaurant’s acceptance of way too many delivery orders. There was a non stop flow of Deliveroo and other drivers hanging around outside the restaurant. The kitchen was definitely preparing a larger number of orders for delivery than for the people in the restaurant. There were only 3 front of house staff, but invariably 1 would be occupied dealing with the delivery drivers, which again compromised the experience for those eating in. Our bill came to £212, of which £60 was spent on drinks. Overall while the food in itself was not bad (I’d rate it as 4 stars), the combination of taking on too many deliveries and slightly high menu prices knocks them down to 3 stars overall. I doubt I would return to the restaurant, but may join the masses ordering through Deliveroo…

We love Indian food and have eaten it in Washington D.C., Barcelona, Madrid and Paris. And the dishes at Pure Indian Cooking are some of the best ever. Cozy restaurant with a friendly vibe; we met the chef and her team who really work hard to make sure their customers have a great experience.

Superb meal, chicken and lamb tikka exceptional and the signature chaat to die for. Very enjoyable, will be back very soon. Thank you very much.

Delicious food and warm service!

The food was amazing and very enjoyable. Along with the atmosphere which felt cozy and comforting.

We ordered in and the packaging and delivery was perfect, the food was great, I got the pistachio curry which was a nice break from my usual spicy Indian choices and was very rich and made with high quality ingredients, I wasn’t a fan of the Naan it was round and quiet dry, but I guess it’s adjusted for everyone’s palate and would work much better if dined, I might visit the place in person someday I do live super close by so yeah, an easy recommendation for anyone looking for Indian Fine Dine option😌😌

We started with the samosas, enjoyed both the mangalorean chicken and the southern spiced chicken, with saffron rice and garlic naan. I was transported back in time to my travels to Bangalore. The food was excellent, accompanied by some nice GT drinks. We will go back next time in Fulham. Delightful place with excellent food!

*** WARNING FOOD POISONING *** Had an awful tasting order from these guys that didn’t even taste like Indian food. I complained, they sent me Antoher dish. I ate this dish later in the evening and the next morning had severe food poisoning for 5 days. The doctor told me it was campylobacter from raw chicken. I can only imagine they poured some raw chicken juice in the dish with malicious intent. I was coming off a 48 hour fast so am sure beyond doubt that it was this restaurants food that caused it. NEVER EAT HERE Update. The restaurant know exactly who I am and I have no reason to lie. What this restaurant did could have killed me and I was very unwell. Please do not eat here and take a minute to look through the bad reviews of which all of them have been argued by the restaurant instead of taken on board and improved. It really shows where their morals lie and shows how much contempt and disrespect they have towards their customers. I have told the restaurant to email me or write to me as I want all communication in writing after what happened but to this date they’ve not contacted me but instead left this retort which is just what they do.

An absolute hidden gem. We’ve been there a number of times now and never been disappointed. A whole array of wonderful dishes. I can recommend the Patra Chaat. Or Jackfruit Galouti. Or the Paneer Tikka. Or the broccoli. For meat lovers there is the Southern Spiced chicken. Some of the desserts (baked yoghurt) are just divine The service is prompt and thoughtful. Location is good with both tube and parking options nearby. All in all a lovely place to spend an evening at.

Came here for dinner before a football match! The staff are very friendly: the restaurant was full and they were busy with takeaways when we went, so there was a bit of a wait for food, but the servers were apologetic and updated us when our food would be ready soon (my partner and I did not mind the wait though, it was worth it). The buttered naan was soft and warm, and tasted great with my mangalorean chicken. My partner really enjoyed his biryani too. Our appy was delicious. The restaurant is clean and the decor is simple. Would recommend coming here!

Had a dinner with my friend this week and everything was sooo delicious. This is, without any doubt, the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the restaurant is very cosy. Staff is always smiley and no request is too big. Portions are quite big and we loved every single dish. Will definitely be returning soon.

Chose the tasting menu - innovative and delicious, with some surprising tastes. Try Pani Puri shots, Patra Chat and the lime and ginger granite. First class. The place was full, the service pretty good, and with an urgent decor spruce-up, that sad corner of SW Fulham by Putney Bridge will finally have a 5 star restaurant. Certain to go back.

Always a go to for Indian cuisine. Only place in London, that serves actually authentic Indian food and not westernised Indian food.

I will give it a 1 purely because charging 9 pounds for 3 tiny frozen samosas is criminal. Yes the mains and naan were great, but that is just scandalous guys. Get your act together and at least lower the price of your starters to reflect the quality. Cheers

Wir waren zufällig in der Nähe und haben das Restaurant über Google Maps gefunden. Es ist ordentlich und sauber. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben Mangalorean Chicken und Chicken Tikka bestellt mit Naan. Beides war sehr lecker, besonders Magalorean Chicken. Ich habe schon einige indische Restaurants besucht, aber dies war mit Abstand der Beste. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Was searching for restaurants on Google and found this hidden gem, nice environment, good food with reasonable price. The nann was extraordinary! Remember to ask for allergy information though as some of the food might be a little bit spicy, but the taste was nice. Excellent service and very friendly people being honest with mistake on price, and was given a tasty dessert. Thank you and we would definitely recommend to friends:)

I just visited Pure Indian Cooking and it was out of this world! The slow-cooked leg of lamb was scrumptious – so flavorful and totally delicious. Huge shout-out to Shilpa, the head chef! There's no doubt that I'm coming back!

Good food. But the service and all other aspects of the meal were absolutely shocking. We were in the curry house for over 3 hours…. Waited 45 minutes just to order our drinks. And then the bill was made up- and overpriced - they had no idea what they’d served us. Real shame as I said the food is good

Amazing dinner, such a great evening. Everyone was so nice and friendly, the food was delicious! We tried the pre-starter Taste of Mumbai for the first time and it was the best thing I had in a long time. Everything was explained and how to eat it, will have it again next time, can highly recommend. Also all the mains we had were sooo delicious. Service was spot on and atmosphere was calm and relaxing. All in all must say, best indian food experience we've had so far and will definitely come back.

Simply excellent! I often order food from this restaurant and the standard is always great but the dining experience is next level. Went for lunch with the whole family including a small baby and the staff were really accommodating and the food first rate! It’s difficult to pick a favourite dish but patria chat is one of the standout starters and the sharing platter is excellent. The staff are great with recommendations if you’re not sure what to order. I haven’t tried the tasting menu yet but it’s definitely on the cards. They also have an excellent wine list and cocktail menu and surprisingly good desserts. The gulab jamun brownie is divine!

First time takeaway and this great restaurant serves food which lives up to the name on the door……pure Indian cooking. So clean, so fresh; total absence of oil and grease. Delicious! Highly recommended.

The ambiance of this restaurant is quite intimate, and what we were looking for on a rainy night. But the food is the real star! Truly a fantastic dinner, we order vegetarian and the eggplant dish and the Chana masala were amazing. I got the peshwari naan and it was so good! To top it all off, the waiter was so kind. We heard him patiently explain parts of the menu to another table and he was very attentive to us!

We stumbled into this place looking for a place that was open on a Monday night and what a happy chance that was! The food and service were equally excellent. We were delighted to find different types of dishes and flavours on the menu than what is usually found in an Indian restaurant, and enjoyed trying something a little new.
