I’ve been eating savoloys for 50 years and I can honestly this was the worst savoloy I’ve ever tasted !! No flavour and just tasted of water

This place was wonderful! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food was everything we wanted for 'fish and chips', and the portions were more than we could eat!

As an American tourist, I was happy that this was my first fish and chips experience. Both the haddock and chips were exceptional. The brother not only served, hot fresh food, but gave me insight into how London really is. Support local and try this place out if you're from out of town.

Bailey’s has been a top choice since 2017 for serving delicious fish n chips. We had haddock it’s really good. Big serving and their tartar sauce is amazing. The owner is super friendly and gave great service. This is a good place to enjoy fish n chips in a quiet neighborhood.

Clean establishment, friendly staff. Ordered Haddock and chips ,battered sausage and chips, waited a reasonable amount time for it all to be cooked .........returned home , to find chips uncooked , black marks over majority of them , probably a day old , couldn't tell you what meat was in the sausage , only thing salvageable was the batter on the fish......first and last time they'll see me . May have been a bad day , but come in guys do better.

Looks like we came at a bad time as the reviews all look good but we waited at the least 15minutes for a small order and ended up with all old chips and the savaloy was like rubber.

I have loved this place for a very long time now. Love the big portions of fish and chips and freshness of the food. The people who work there are very friendly and as locals we are grateful to have both good food and nice people to run this place. Highly recommended.

The fish and chip shop is excellent. I had cod and chips, and the chips were very fresh, as if the oil is changed regularly. It is an outstanding chip shop. I would go again, but not regularly because the price of chips has increased, or perhaps all chip shops have raised their prices.

Best in london.i travel 10 miles to eat there.1 st class service everytime and fish is cooked for you freshly.i wrote this a few months ago. I went there 2 days ago and it was rubbish.i the owners have changed.The cod was of low standard and the chips were hard to digest. I have been going there for the past 5 years. Never again.

We went here because it had decent ratings, but we had better fish-n-chips at a pub in Greenwich.

4 orders of the freshest fish and chips with homemade tartar sauce. Stopped in on the way to a Fulham game and single we did. Owner was accommodating and very personable. Wish we could have taken some with us.

Very disappointing and sad how this shop has gone down BIG TIME! My partner spent £50+ today for cod and chips for the family and my sister who was visiting us for the day and the chips were hard and dry and the fish is definitely off... We are all starting to feel really unwell now and when eating it, it lacked flavour and didn’t seem fresh at all. I don’t if you have changed suppliers or the oil your using is different but something is definitely not right and we won’t be returning to this shop. It’s a shame as when it was run by the previous owners the standard was extremely high but now it has completely fallen off. I actually called not too long ago to let management know of my concerns with how the fish was cooked and I was told that “we cook the chips for 10minutes” and “why didn’t you call earlier, your partner came in ages ago” That is NOT the point and that is NOT how you treat customers.. Management didn’t apologise or anything. Terrible terrible service and we definitely will not be returning or recommending anyone to Baileys fish and chip shop Dawes road👎

Absolutely lovely service, today I had a beautiful cod burger which i thoroughly enjoyed. I really enjoyed and appreciated the young girl working there, I was made to feel very welcomed and had a good laugh would definitely recommend!

Under new Management and this place has gone down hill, I ordered 2 cod, large chip's, cod bites and small chip. The chips were awful like they had been sitting to long and the cod was not nice at all. Total waste of money. My dog wouldn’t even eat the food. Service and atmosphere was ok

The quality seems to be going down hill. I used to rate this shop. I got a takeaway and live 15 minutes away. Ordered 2 chips, battered sausage, large fish and curry sauce. Chips tasted very stale and lumpy. The fish which should have been the prize of the show was inedible, as the batter was wet with the majority not being cooked. The only item that was good was the sausage. My friend felt she couldn't eat the fish, having had only a few bits and felt a bit ill after. A real poor show from what was once an award winner. I tried to give this place another go from a previous disappointment but sadly i won't be coming back.

Used to love this place but have just had possibly the worst food ever from here chips tasted of old oil, fish was rubbery, batter soft not crunchy and was sold the smallest pot of curry sauce. Very disappointed as food was always delicious before such a shame.

I just visited Baileys fish and chip shop in Dawes Road, Fulham. I ordered rock and chips. The quality was very poor. The fish seems out of date, looking at the colour, especially the back of the fish which I noticed was extremely dark brown when i removed the batter, fresh rock or Huss should not look like this, taste or smell like this, the fish was dry and discoloured. The chips are reheated and seem like they were on the lunchtime menu. £16.50 All in all, it's not a very good meal. At this price point, I expect at least fresh food, especially when the fish has been cooked to order.

We were unfortunately really disappointed with our fish and chips from Baileys - both the fish and the chips tasted awful. We paid over £17 for one large fish and chips which seemed extremely expensive, especially given we were so disappointed with the quality of the food. We did order shortly before they closed the shop which is perhaps a reason for this, but in this case it would be better not to serve customers just before they close.

Klein aber Oho. Der Laden hatte kaum 10 Sitzplätze, dafür aber Mordsmäßige Portionen. Wir waren zu viert da, alle hatten nach ≤15 min je einen halben panierten Fisch und eine reichliche Portion Pommes vor sich liegen. Von Haus ist alles ungewürzt, aber es stehen Mayo, Ketchup und hausgemachter Tartar, sowie Salz Pfeffer und Eßig bereit. Der Backfisch wurde mit Pommes und einer achtel Zitrone serviert. Der Fisch war super Lecker, heiß und knusprig. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung, wenn man bereit ist etwas weiter (20 min vom Natural History Museum) rauszufahren, um 12.90 £ pro Portion zu bezahlen anstatt 17+ im Zentrum.

One of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had.

I come here as my regular chip shop. The customer service is really really good, especially the lovely girl’s smile every time I come in. Food is lovely and it is cooked fresh in front of you. Very happy of the experience every time, I definitely recommend eating here. Thank you to the workers here, you make it worth the time! See you soon!

Food was so below par how can you mess up chips ina chip shop sad days ahead used to be good

I have eaten in Baileys for Years, my family's favourite chippie. I have just ordered it today first time since change of ownership and all I can say is the Quality of the food has nose dived it's shocking. The chips were old dry and tough, the battered sausage had massive lumps of jellied grizzle I couldn't even eat it half went in the bin. Unfortunately we won't be eating from Baileys again and will look for another local chippie. Save your money and eat elsewhere!

My husband really rates the battered sausage but the savloy and chips we had were ok. Seating options inside and outside and very friendly service.

My new favorite fish & chips in London. Nothing fancy but really, really good! Fish is flaky and tasty, chips (or fries as we call them in the US) are cooked to perfection, and the owner is very nice. Counter seating or take away. Thanks to previous reviewers for steering me here. UPDATE Returned to Baileys while visiting London and happy to say food is still great and staff is friendly. Prices have gone up with rising supply costs faced by all chippers but glad Baileys is not compromising on quality.

Food was great not too expensive and the service was amazing. I ordered on the phone, the guy serving was very helpful and polite and made a few jokes too. Went in to pick up my order and he caught me staring at the pickles and offered me free ones along with a free sauce aswell. Very nice guys working in a clean and well organised kitchen. Great service, great food and just great all round. Highly recommend. See menu attached

Use to be very good. Old tatty signs of trip advisor still up giving it 5 years of excellence up to 2018 or 2019! Service was friendly. Food dissapointing... Chips a bit under cooked, Fish ok, fresh lemon nice touch! Christmas decorations still up and its almost the end of April, dirty mirrors. Something has changed...maybe new owners....

Visited for an early dinner and the place was almost empty. The fish and chips were prepared quickly and were absolutely fantastic. The owner was really friendly too.

This used to be the best fish and chips in London. Heck it was voted one of the UK best restaurants. 20 deep queue on the weekend. People visiting from other countries... Now it's been sold a couple of times and the fish AND chips are bad. I used to get a quarter pounder for £5 and it was amazing. Quality was fantastic. Batter is very heavy, chips are soggy. It's now become a poor neighbourhood chippy. The queues have gone and I'm sure the profits too. Make it good again and the people will come. Massive shame.

Decent price for decent portion. You can get medium cod for 6.8 or large cod for 7.8. I ordered a large one Fish was fresh and tasty. It came hot and we can saw steam when cutting the fish We shared a large chips for 3.2. My friend said she loves the chips Family owned business and they’re lovely

We all know prices can be expensive in life, but the baileys fish and chip shop has amazing food, (and it's nice to treat yourself once in a while) the staff are very friendly. I have ate in the premises a few times, before and had a take away. (it is a shame the premises is small) and is directly on a main road so no parking unless you know the area.

This is probably the best Fish and chips in town. The batter stayed crispy till the end. The staff was super helpful and very very nice. Great place!
