Waited for an eternity for fish and chips during which time our tea went cold. Asked the waitress for a free tea to make up for the eternal wait and she stood there and argued with us instead. No way to treat customers
Found this restaurant by chance, what a gem. Went with 4 adults and 2 children, food was fantastic, service was excellent, very friendly and attentive staff
Beautiful Abbey swamped in history. Sizeable and also beautiful wrap around grounds. With a lovely little tea shop and seating area.
I will always make a point of stopping whenever I am in the area.

The food that Obi and his team serve is second to none. I have eaten here multiple times and it is consistently delicious, flavoursome with the right levels of spice and great value. I highly recommend the lamb patiya and chicken bhuna - both amazing as confirmed by my 8 year old daughter, her plate was cleaned! All the starters and sides are also to die for.
During Friday/Saturday nights it can get busy but the team of servers & bar staff are attentive polite and professional. There is a great atmosphere about the place and will always recommend this as my favourite Indian restaurant. Great work and great food - keep it up!

I liked that I could feel the Shoreditch vibe by eating outside. The black coffee was strong, but it was delicious.
If you order at the counter, they will bring it to your seat.
The spacious space in the basement where you can use your laptop also looked nice.
Excellent service at Bridge St on May 1st, as was the food (Halibut) and wine. My wife and I really enjoyed out time there, and this made a wonderful part to our Anniversary. Thankyou all. We will be back!
Visited here 17th April late afternoon. Have been a few times before and enjoyed it.
My wife and I ordered a bottle of wine between us from the bar. £28 it was. I am fine with that. But towards the end of the bottle I noticed on the wine racks where bottles of wine are for sale the same bottle. All bottles have two prices , a take out price and a " drink in " price. Understandable. The bottle in question had a take out price of @ £6.50 and a "drink in " price of @ £21.50. I wonder why I was charged £28. There is a sign saying corkage will be charged but is not corkage the difference between the two prices?
The barman who served me was not around for the last 10 minutes we were there so I could not ask him. I was not going to cause any fuss with the younger members of staff there so we finished the bottle and left.
I wouldnt mind someone explaining these price differentials to me.
Otherwise we are reasonable fans of this bar.
