I just LOVE it here. How lucky we are to have such a gem here in Losty. Lovely ladies who serve and offer recommendations or just a natter! Fresh food is delish especially the quiches.
Good fish and chips with good service well worth a visit to sit outside and enjoy the view. Batter was crisp and not greasy and the fish taster fresh. Enjoyable meal.
Having given up on the disaster that is the Windsor Farm Cafe, I was desperate for somewhere to get a decent brunch. This place is lovely. Spotlessly clean, including the very important loos, really delightful staff and excellent food. I had great coffee and a sausage baguette which would have fed two. (I ate the whole thing.)
So, if you want a proper cafe, not an overpriced tourist trap with stale food, this is it. Highly recommended. I told one of the staff I'd leave a review, and bless her, she said never mind that, just come back! I'll absolutely do that.
Having been given a voucher for this cruise as a gift, we weren't sure what to expect. My husband made the booking over the phone and immediately commented on how friendly and helpful the lady was who helped with our booking. We turned up on a very frosty morning and stood viewing the ice on the water! We were boarded at 11.45 and shown to our allocated table. The boat was duly decked out with Christmas decorations and for the whole cruise we were regaled with Christmas songs. The food (which we had ordered from the menu prior to the cruise) was really delicious and we considered ours to be ample portions. Above all, the service was amazing and the staff worked tirelessly. It appeared that everything ran like clockwork and at the end of the cruise we considered it a lovely way to spend about 3 hours. The price paid was really good value for money and this canal cruise is now firmly on our 'To Do' list for 2020.
We hired these guys to do our wedding breakfast. We had a New York theme and wanted to have a relaxed day with nothing too fancy so we decided on pizza. Heard great reviews so went ahead. The weather was beyond awful and the team struggled to cope. I was always worried it would rain and reassured they would set up the tent as close to the marquee as possible so the guests wouldn’t get wet. They couldn’t set up the tent because of the wind, something that hadn’t been considered. Overall they tried hard with the pizzas, cooking them then running them into the marquee but it was a shambles and people waited ages for pizza. In the meantime they ran out of side salads when we were only halfway through serving. I had ordered salads for 80 and was reassured it was enough food. We had 70 guests and still ran out only feed half of them. Embarrassing to say the least. We had to ask our evening caters to start serving early! When I wrote to them after the wedding to say thank you but i was disappointed I was simply told the guests eat too much not leaving enough for others.
A group of us had a two course lunch at the restaurant in September. I'd never been before and wasn't sure what the standard was going to be like as the students are of mixed ability.
I needn't have worried. Both dishes were spot on. Well presented, great flavours and good portions.
I had red pepper soup, which had a little kick, which I liked. This was followed by a Nut Roast and a selection of veg.
This is easily the best nut roast I've had and commented to the staff that I would definitely be returning.
Well done, the students of City College.
Sorry to have doubted you!

Always nice to visit JoJo's, welcomes you with a smile and her food is out of this world. I can never decide what to have but I have never been disappointed. Had lots of meals delivered during the pandemic, JoJo went above and beyond.!
I used the Deli for a Birthday party for around 20 people. The food was excellent, i would definitely recommend. Everyone commented on how good the food was.
They deliver the food half hour before the party started and all I had to do was service when we were ready.
Great food and services. Thank you.
What a lovely surprise this place was. Stylish decor, excellent drinks and cocktails, knowledgeable and friendly staff and great food. Wouldn't be out of place in the posher areas of London.
It was rather noisy when I attended due to some boisterous guests, but they were clearly very happy too!
Well worth a visit if you want something a bit more special than a pub or regular restaurant.
Cooking class at Megafauna in Southport was so amazing!!! We did vegan basics and was so impressed, was really special experience, did loads of stuff and got lunch and food to take away with us. Ben is brilliant!

Where else would you see a cafe surrounded by several flocks of sheep? 🐏🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑
On a Welsh mountain side in the middle of the Brecon Beacons, that's where!
What a unique and enjoyable experience; sipping hot freshly made coffee, munching a lovely bacon 'butty' with the breeze blowing through the valley. Plus, a 'captive' audience, each one of the woolly creatures in the audience hoping for a free sample from my bread roll. No luck there I'm afraid.
Good quality burger, fresh bun and great service from the proprietor. Will definitely use again.
Nicely tucked away down a little alleyway is this little coffee shop.
I just had a latte with some salted caramel cake and for my wife who is Coeliac they had a Gluten Free treacle sponge and custard which she assured me was delicious, and she washed it down with a latte also. The place was clean and staff were friendly. Access could be an issue for some as it was on the 1st floor accessed by some fairly steep stairs but overall a nice experience
