Sat outside in the beautiful sunshine after a nice walk. Great friendly atmosphere and lots of different beers to choose from. Well worth a visit.

We've visited Bertram's for many, many years being locals but it's gone downhill and doesn't reflect anything like it used to be in respect of service, quality of food, value for money or ambience. Add to this the loud, inappropriate music and not-so-friendly staff, and you've got a totally disappointing and expensive experience. The carrot cake was stale, the service was slow, so slow that I had asked at the counter whether we'd been forgotten. Other tables were asking the same (it wasn't particularly busy and we'd only ordered 2 x latte, 1 x toasted tea-cake and 2 x cake). I was given a look by the staff at the counter who said they were 'doing it'. When it came time to pay I gave polite feedback, they didn't seem to care. I think it's really sad that a local café / eatery that took years to build up into a firm favourite frequented by locals and visitors alike, has changed hands and become something less good.

Nous sommes allés dans ce restaurant à trois après une journée bien remplie de visites à Londres. Réservation facile par téléphone peu avant d'arriver. Nous recherchions un beau restaurant pour notre dernière soirée et nous n'avons pas été déçu. La cuisine est très belle et excellente, le service est parfait.

Loved the Okalahoma onion boy burger and the millionaire fries where 10/10 👍 the special three counties boy was a bit busy, lots going on, so definitely recommend trying a simpler burger. Smash patties were perfect and moist. Will definitely be returning to sample more burgers from the menu. Thanks boys.

This place is incredible, we were so impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our food which was imaginative fresh and delicious. We had a mixed platter and we couldn’t believe how generous it would be and the quality was superb, just perfect.

This is one of my favorite places in Aberdeen — I absolutely love it! The food is consistently fantastic, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. However, the overall vibe of the restaurant doesn't quite match the quality of the food. The interior design is very basic and unfortunately feels more like a canteen than a proper restaurant. I highly recommend investing in a professional interior designer to upgrade the space and bring the ambiance up to the same high standard as the food. With the right atmosphere, this place could easily become the best dining spot in Aberdeen!

I'm French, originally not hugely far from the Italian border and I speak Italian. Wannabe Italian chain restaurants hate me because I spot the BS ;) one of my favourite AUTHENTIC Italian restaurants in the North East is Francesca's! The food is good (proper "pizza Italiana" if you ask me). The owner / most of the staff ARE genuine Italian people that you can speak Italian to ;) My only complaint is that the French waitress joined in with the rest of my French compatriots / Parisians to show her disdain at my region. I thought I was safe in Newcastle and could pretend to be from a glamorous part of France but apparently not 😆! I am joking of course. Great crack. Great service. Great food. They even brought in a little ice-cream with a candle and sang happy birthday for my hubby s birthday. Completely unplanned but super kind. You keep doing what you are doing raggazzi and when you go PLC please let me become a shareholder!!!!!!! Tanti Auguri. Forza Francesca 🫶🫶🫶

First visit to Blacksmiths on Tues 29 Apr 2025 as highly recommended by a friend. Dog friendly and in an excellent location looking towards the New Forest. Large garden and staff very friendly, polite and welcoming. Good variety on the menu, my wife had the small fish and chips which she enjoyed and wondered how big the main size would be. I had the lamb shank pie which was absolutely gorgeous, and loads of veg. We'll certainly be back again.

Gandhi remains our favourite takeaway. Always tasty and reliable and good value.

Delicious veggie roasts, plenty of gravy 😋
