A traditional beer 🍻 house with an excellent selection of drinks, definitely something for everyone. Staff were very friendly and helpful (with recommendations on beers) and professional, keeping the pub clean. We had some food (Kawarma & Loaded Fries) The service was quick, the food was well cooked and very tasty. Dog friendly & a good selection of games to play, they really do want you to stay and enjoy the place. Recommend to all if you are in the area.

This was local to the airb&b we were staying at. A true locals pub with dogs welcomed. Full of greenery and a decorative atmosphere. The rear garden is clean with plenty of seats. Food was excellent, a freshly matched and cooked burger meal, definitely not a fast food delivery which shows in the quality of the food.

I usually like this place but the food was a little ropey today and it's not cheap. Will update this next time I'm in but worth considering.

Popped in for a quick dinner when we were in town walking the Thames path. Lovely ambience, very nice food, lovely friendly staff. (Didn't see the cat we'd seen on the website though so a little disappointed there lol). I had the burger and wife had the chicken schnitzel which was MASSIVE. Their chips were epic. Anyway glad we decided to check it out - v impressed. Keep it up.

I have never been here before but came in with friends for a meal.and a drink. We tried a few of their beers, two of us had a burger and one had a chicken escalope with cheese. This is a lovely friendly local with an interesting range of real ales - so far so good. My friend had a lovely looking escalope, unfortunately our burgers were very disappointing. The quality was fine but the burger itself was absolutely tiny as was the portion of chips - far too small for the £18 price tag.

Busy, but managed to get a table. Great food, We had a problem with our bill - a genuine mistake on their part - and we should have spotted it when we paid but unfortunately we did not notice until later in the day when we got home. Contacted the Black Dog and they sorted it out without any issues the following day. Mistakes can happen, but the measure of a business is how they handle them. 10/10.

Outrageously delicious Sunday roast. Best I've had in London. And I've eaten A LOT of these. The lamb/pomegranate/hummus combo is absolutely lush lads.

Went for Sunday lunch but they were full. It was packed. Says a lot for it's reputation and quality. Next time, we'll book 👍

We've eaten here so many times, without saying a word, time for glowing review! This pub is a firm local FAVOURITE! Such a shame that Hounslow has ZERO pubs of this quality. :( Food at the Black Dog as it stands is perfectly priced for the quality that is offered. Food is absolutely delicious! We'd highly recommend, the mussels (only missing some bread as you need something to help you drink the delish sauce!), the pork belly is amazing, and the Ribeye special is fabulous with one of the best chimicurris I've ever tasted. The pub has a really good selection of beers and ciders as the name would suggest so you can go to town, trying something new each time you go or indeed each time you order. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes and drinks. The decor is lush, lots of plants and friendly vintage feel interiors to help you feel comfy and relaxed. The garden outside is beautifully planted, and provides cover, so even if it rains a little you stay dry and can eat or drink comfortably. Most walls are covered too so you have no idea where and can enjoy the secluded little haven the guys have created.

Lovely traditional pub with gorgeous open fire. Wonderful friendly staff, delicious food and great choice of wine and beer. We went for dinner on a Saturday night. It was busy so recommend booking a table if you're going for food. Lovely evening and will definitely go again. Thank you!

Went at the last minute on a Sunday to get an early lunch & it was busy but the owner/ landlord & staff are never too busy to answer your questions. It was busy but we got a table. We couldn’t get the roast as we hadn’t booked & it’s very good & extremely popular - we knew this so ordered burgers & fries. Absolutely delicious, fresh, just as a burger should be. This pub has got everything right! One thing - book it!

Great little boozer a block away from the old Griffin Park. Lovely ambience, great selection of draft and keg ales from around the world, very good pub food and all reasonably priced. Loads of staff at peak times so you're never left waiting too long.

Brentford is on the map and I am sure our group will be back to see you. The choice beers was great, your manager (Tom?) was excellent talking us through them and our beers we were even delivered to the table a couple of times! A great quality pub with great beer and atmosphere. Many thanks!

A lovely pub with a nice fire serving a surprisingly varied and tasty menu. If you are nearby at lunchtime certainly worth a visit.

As ever a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Great food, buzzy atmosphere ! Consistently good, every time we come…..and most importantly a wide and excellent choice of beers .

Looked like they had a great selection of beer but unfortunately I’m not drinking at the moment. Food was OK had the burger which was of those stacked so high it is impossible to eat with sense of dignity. Person who served me was a bit surly and not too friendly. Was it my non-London accent? Who knows. Having said all that food tasted good waiting staff were nice and worth a return trip to sample a few of those ales

First time in Brentford, randomly found this pub. Literally one of the best I ever found. Amazing selection of beers. Had a great night. Staff are very nice and personal.. I think its owned privately. God bless them!

We had a Sunday roast dinner here on our first night in London. IT. WAS. AMAZING! Not only was the food fantastic but the entire space was beautifully set up with so much charm and character. We can’t wait to go back for another Sunday Roast on our next visit to London.

Tried to reply properly and couldn’t but I appreciate the response and reading what you’ve said here I understand where you’re coming from. If we could’ve spoke about it properly the first time it would have been nicer but it is what it is, I would come in and talk but as stated before I do not live in the country I was in your pub for Christmas drinks. Hopefully you can find the guy and get some sort of justice until then take care!

Visited Brentford for the 3rd New Year in a row. Found the Black Dog on the first visit, staying across the road at the Premier so been coming here for 3 years. I booked a table to guarantee a spot on our arrival 29th Dec. Eaten here for 3 days and visted for 4 days. Take the best bit of every bar you have visited. Amazing staff, friendly customers, log fire, great keg n cask beers. Wines, port, fantastic food, great prices (I'm from Yorkshire) shake em up n pour them out. This is what you get The Black Dog Beer House . Just wish it wasn't 173 miles away from home. Hopefully back soon

Booked our works christmas get together here and all the staff were incredibly accommodating. They catered for everyone so quickly and food was amazing. Charlie and Georgia were especially lovely and friendly!! thank you so much - we will be back next year x

One of the best pubs around London. Nice and very cosy place. Warmness coming from the fireplace, friendly and talkative hosts. Awesome variable food. Delicious craft beers and cider. Simply Good.

Visited today after they had a break from Sunday roast. Wonderful experience, the place was busy and had a jolly atmosphere. These guys put a huge amount of effort into their roast with good preparation. The Yorkshire pudding is the real thing. Good ale, not extortionately priced and I enjoyed a fine organic Malbec with my lamb and the staff show a real interest in their clientele.

Oh my word, Liv and Georgia are total stars. Service is exceptional from them and the small talk is the best part of the visit. Regular visitor and the steak is a must buy out of all the food I’ve had. These two clearly know their stuff, will be back again (as usual)

Had the gnocchi special, which was too oily and not amazing. The ribs were good. The service was friendly and good. The atmosphere was nice. A classic pub, with regular locals.

Off the beaten track pub with a huge (for an establishment of its size) selection of craft beers, ciders, and wines on tap. Friendly servers who (if it’s not too busy) will chat about the available drinks options. Came on a Monday afternoon (and it still became fairly busy) for drinks just before dinner service so didn’t manage to try the food but it smelled amazing. There’s also a beer garden which I didn’t try out as it was wet but I’m sure it’s good.

It's a brilliant pub. The beer selection is excellent and the food looks great the staff are excellent and really helpful and a really good atmosphere a must visit pub if in the area.

The New Zealand steak with hollandaise sauce was unlike anything I have ever experienced. Do not let the name fool you, this restaurant is everything you could ever want or expect.

Grrat beer. Really tastyfood. I can recommend the ribs they were excellent. Staff were a bit overkeen, tak8ng my glass away before it was empty! But overall a great place to go.

Called in whilst away for work. What a cracking little boozer. Great little beer garden, and great choice of drinks and the steak and chips I had was absolutely cracking, unbelievable for the price. Nice atmosphere and friendly and attentive staff. Wish this was my local.

EDIT: My recent experiences have brought down my rating of The Black Dog. The food is overpriced and disappointing, most recently I tried a roast dinner and hated it. £26 for a beef roast dinner and it's one of the worst I've had - and one of the most expensive. The meat was overcooked with lots of gristle, the 2 roast potatoes each (!) were dry, horseradish wasn't good either, but the veg was okay. ---- Such a great pub! Good selection of food, including tinned fish which I love. Great and vast selection of beers on tap too. Lovely decor, including a real fire 🔥 Dog friendly, nice art and plants - will be a regular.

Went for Lunch with a colleague. Amazing lunch, amazing staff and service. What's not to love. Will be back.

We found this place from Google maps and the reviews were very good, it certainly lived up to the hype! Amazing Sunday roast and burger, the meat was cooked well and it was very tasty! The portions were very good too. Nice variety of beer, it's one of the few places I could find more than one Weiss beer in London. Finally, I have to commend the staff because they were very friendly and helpful. We walked in without a reservation and they did their best to help us find a table and get served. Our order took more than half an hour to arrive but it was worth the wait and it was understandable because the place was packed!

Always fantastic. Folks behind the bar are great, there is what feels like a community spirit which is unusual coming from east london, the beer selection is excellent and the food is top notch.

Excellent pub for a Sunday Roast! Beautiful ambience with a wide selection of crafted beer. We all ordered different roasts, beef, lamb and pork with a good crackling. Nice portions. Food was served in, although weather invited to go outdoors, without hesitation our waiter prepared a couple of tables outside!! I will definitely come back soon!
