Amazing food, all day breakfasts, brunch’s and beautifully presented. A pretty little cafe with wonderful staff and reasonably priced. Fabulous Thai for in the evening and lots of things to choose from at lunch. Extensive menu!! Thoroughly recommend.

Had a pleasant Wednesday dinner at the restaurant. The food was amazing and the staff very friendly and lovely. Booked a table an hour in advance, which was a good call, as at 8pm the place was almost full. Despite being so busy, the food was prepared very fast and everything tasted amazing! I’ve been to Thailand few times, snd can assure the taste was very authentic. Unfortunately I was too fool for a dessert, but I’m definitely coming visiting the restaurant again.

What a little gem . Staying over in Brentford for the night stumbled across this fantastic resteraunt. It was a Monday night late on place was busy but very accomodating the lady waitress was fantastic the food unbelievable so many different tastes and flavours If we are ever in the area again we will most certainly pay them a visit Thanks again

not impressed, the place is unlit, littered with rubbish outside, no one comes to serve outside tables. Food, if it ever arrives is mediocre, service is unsmiling, poor.

Delicious breakfasts, excellent service!

It is a beautiful little family-run cafe. We have been visiting it for years. When we want something special, we go there. It gives a vibe of community. People come in and are greeted like family. This morning, we cycled there for breakfast. The place hasn't changed since we went there for the first time in 2012, and it gives a rustic vintage sense. Old but well-kept, it serves traditional and authentic Thai foods. The restrooms are on the top floor, and I have to give credit that for such a small place, they have female and male toilets and beautifully decorated

What a truly delightful find! We had visited the nearby Museum of Water and Steam and wanted an alternative to the usual Sunday Pub Lunch. This comfortable and friendly gem of a venue delivered beyond expectations. Snacks a-plenty and some mouth-watering traditional Thai fare too, all very reasonably priced. We were made very welcome and noticed that the other diners were nearly all regulars. A Sunday New Year's Eve and still plenty of footfall. I'll not try to sketch the warm ambiance but recommend you pop in to experience it yourself.

We had a wonderful breakfast here on New Year's Day. The food was lovely, the café was cosy and comfortable, and above all the service was excellent, making us feel very welcome and looked after.

Wir waren zum Frühstück und Abendessen da. Die Besitzerin ist ausgesprochen freundlich! Wir haben uns kurz über unseren Urlaub in London und über Ihren Herkuftsort in Thailand unterhalten, weil wir dort auch schon im Urlaub waren. Wirklich eine nette Frau! Das Essen war auch super, weswegen wir 2 mal da waren. Es ist ein netter kleiner Laden, mit etwas viel Dekor aber alles in allem war es super und ist einen Besuch wert!

Visited last week after having driven from Reading to meet up for lunch with friends. I was made to feel welcome from waitress Knee, Really friendly. Foods were acceptable and reasonable prices but our foods was not served at the same time eventhough there were only few tables in place. But still want to come back as Padthai was delicious.

Really good food and good value for money

Food was fresh and nice to eat. However, we did not feel as pleasant about the service and etiquette of the staff. As soon we walked in, the waiter piped up saying "we make Thai food here" in a very warning tone. Afterwards, she would very rudely address us and constantly frown at my family. After we spent about 7 minutes deciding what to eat, she decided to tell us that she had "been waiting for (us) to order" in a very disgruntled manner. This attitude continued with the way dishes were served and such. Overall we felt like we were not wanted there. I'm not sure where this was all coming from. Maybe the ones serving us had some preconceived notions about us, maybe they didn't like that we came in for lunch at 4PM or maybe it was just a big misunderstanding, who knows. The hospitality did not make us feel good either way. The food was nothing to complain about but also not nearly good enough to make up for the rudeness.

Yet again Hossein and his amazing team serve up the best Thai food.! Full of atmosphere . Great care, expertise and attention given whilst preparing this food. The chefs cooking and presentation is awesome. Served by the friendliest staff in the restaurant business. Good honest wholesome Thai food. Delicious food at Strand Cafe. I had a chicken panang and coconut rice, finished with a tiger beer. The service was amazing, so helpful and friendly. Indoor and outdoor setaing in a quiet location. Beautiful decoration and authentic. Would definitely recommend

We found this little cafe from reading reviews and thought we would give it a go...... We're glad to say the reviews were spot on, we ended up having breakfast here the 3 days we were down here. The owner and staff We're really friendly and seamed to know everyone, he even remembered our order fromthe 1st day and made us feel really welcome. Definitely recommend this establishment if you're in the area and want some decent food, a drink and a friendly atmosphere.

Fairly decent pad Thai in a cosy location by the river. The tempura starter as part of the lunch menu was super good. Definitely pop in for lunch if you’re feeling like Thai food.

We made an impromptu visit with our teenagers for lunch pre-match. We lived in Bangkok for 6 years so we were excited to see Thai food on the menu. It’s now the next day, and I can’t stop thinking about how good our meal was! Incredible Thai food, lovely staff…never mind the rugby, I’m going back just to visit the cafe!

My friend recommended it as we had just been to Kew gardens,only really wanted a quick snack st lunchtime,after spending ages looking at the menu, I'll have that ,no I'll have thst,such a choice ,went for the Beef ,mustard sandwich, very nice ,friend could only eat half so they put it in a bag to have later,definitely go back soon.Also nice and cosy inside.

The food is always lovely, whether it’s traditional breakfast or Thai. Hussein and team are so friendly and welcoming and go above and beyond to ensure that customers have a lovely experience. Always one of my favourite places to eat breakfast, lunch or evening.

One of my absolute favourite restaurants in Chiswick!! The food is delicious, whether it's a fry up for breakfast or a thai meal for lunch/dinner. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating.

We came across this great cafe/restaurant a couple of years ago, now whenever we stay in the area we visit for breakfast/brunch. We have not been disappointed with any of the breakfast we have tried and my husband likes the coffee. We look forward to being able to try the Thai restaurant when we visit again. Would definitely recommend this great little cafe near the river and station.

I would say this is my first ever authentic Thai dining! It's just amazing that we chose this place regardless of the name who says cafe😍; it was bit confusing that either to try in here or not, whereas it's the best decision that I popped into this place and ended up with the best food ever 😍😍😍! I would say the green curry is the best part here, and I loved the most whichever I tried just on my first time 😍 The service is really amazing, and the ladies over there seem very lovely with serving the food, so do the food taste the best too😍😍😍 If you got a date night and would be the best place with the perfect ambiance, else going out with friends would let you try a variety of options on their menu list. Talking about their menu, the menu card was something unique which I liked a lot, too😍. Definitely recommended when you have thoughts of fine dine-in 😍😍😍.

The place was relaxing. Classic music playing made it even more relaxing with the silence.

We came without reservation, unfortunately it was full booked. However we were served on the terrace and thanks to the climate change we had a very enjoyable evening. The great food and service made it a perfect night out.

This review is only for their Thai food. They were no longer serving breakfast at the time. I ordered the Tom kha prawn and the spring roll. The spring roll was crunchy and piping hot. The filling looked like any regular egg roll filling - clear noodles with cabbage. It was good to start, but I couldn’t finish it because it was so incredibly sweet. It tasted more like dessert than an appetizer. The Tom kha was okay, but the prawn had a weird taste to it, like it had gone bad. I couldn’t finish this dish either. The service was decent, hence the 2-star rating. I may come back to try their breakfast one of these days, but their Thai food is not something I’d recommend.

Sat outside and had a lovely Saturday morning breakfast. We both had different cooked breakfasts from the extensive menu; both very tasty and both well presented. The freshly squeezed carrot juice and the mixed berry smoothie were delicious. Service very welcoming. The service was a little bit slow but understandable as they were very busy. Would recommend.

Had breakfast here. Perfectly cooked scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, rocket and ciabatta bread with lemon and ginger tea. The tea was was what I was hoping for - boiling water with chunks of lemon and ginger (not a pretend flavoured ceylon tea e.g. Twinings). It was great. Service was pleasant and polite. Will definitely go back if in the area again.

This is a gem of a cafe located just at the northern end of Kew Bridge. Recommended if you are in the area. We had several recommendations from locals to go for dinner. Some of the tastiest Thai dishes we’ve ever had, obviously made carefully with top quality ingredients. I recommend ordering the starter sampler to try as much as possible (available for 2 or 3 people to share). If you like red curry (we chose chicken) you may want to order extra as this was a work of art, with a perfect balance of curry heat and coconut creaminess, and we found ourselves wishing for another helping. We also had a spicy prawn/noodle dish and a beef stir fry, both also excellent and spicy. Get a pint of Tiger beer to go with your meal. The service was excellent and attentive, and the staff went out of their way to seat us outside without a reservation—but if you can book ahead do so.

I have been coming to The Strand for years. Daily morning coffees and a chat with the amazing team who are always happy and charming, regular weekend breakfasts ranging from the traditional English fry up (my husband swears by it), healthy fruit and yogurt options, and some wonderful unexpected delights as well. Last night I needed some downtime and headed to The Strand for dinner. They always do amazing Thai food - but to still find new adventures that blow your mind after a few years of patronage is what The Strand is all about. Last night I had wine in the sun, followed by the amazing Thai salad with grilled Jumbo prawns (REAL massive prawns that I'm used to seeing in the Southern Hemisphere, not the teeny European ones I've grown accustomed too), my husband had Sea Bass and told at least three strangers on the way home how good it was!, followed by the Thai pancake and vanilla icecream for dessert. FOOD HEAVEN! I am still smiling about the food and the experience today. The Strand is the absolute charm of our neighbourhood, Plei, Hussain, Ab and the entire team are the best, most lovely people you could wish to spend time with and the food is second to none. Cannot recommend enough.

my wife and i ate here before a rugby match at the brentford community stadium. The food was delicious, atmosphere really relaxed and pleasant and the service was outstanding when ordering, i tried to get an additional aubergine side order and the chap serving quickly assured me that it would not be necessary because the main was already large enough - when he could just have taken the order and the money. I think he was aware that we were on a little bit of a timetable. When we got around to ordering the bill he was super quick to bring it along and take payment honestly, as long as you like thai food, i couldnt recommend this place too highly

I went for dinner with my parents and the manager was rude on several occasions. Firsty, I asked if we could move to another table on the terrace (the restaurant was almost empty so I didn't think this would be an issue) well, it was and he didn't like me requesting another table and made it clear by saying 'what's the difference? Both tables are the same'. When the food arrived I had to go and look for him as we didn't have any cutlery or napkins... and he looked at me like I was crazy going inside the restaurant. With regards to the food, the rice wasn't cooked on the day and one of the curries was cold... the food was very average and the portions so small. It's a shame as I had been before a few years ago and I remember the food being OK. There are plenty of Thai restaurants in Richmond and Chiswick so I won't come back for sure.

Friendly and efficient staff unfazed by unusual requests. I had halloumi salad with pitta bread rather than bagel and both were delicious. Also a pot of fresh mint tea hit the spot They serve a short Thai lunch menu too. Would return definitely.

We (family of 5) have known this place for years and years. We met the lovely owner back in 2008 and we still love him, the staff and the food as we did 14 years ago. Everything is delicious!! EVERYTHING!! And the place is beautiful, cosy, peaceful and makes me feel happy.
