Visited today for brunch after seeing the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. We were warmly welcomed and picked a table. I had the triple cheese and bacon toastie and my partner had the meaty cooked breakfast. Both were beautifully presented and very delicious. The coffee was very good. The staff were very friendly and engaged in conversation. I look forward to trying something different next time.

Our air bnb was right across the street from this restaurant but didn’t get a chance to go until the night before we left. Had a Sunday roast with assorted meats and was outstanding. Capped off a great trip

We have been here several times. The food is fantastic and the staff are friendly and helpful. We had soup and toasty, childs soup, baked potato and American bagel. Then coffee and cakes, a fruit scone and a childs hot chocolate. The coffee is probably the best I've tasted in cafes. The only thing I would suggest is heating the scone for around 10 seconds to make it 100% better! The hot chocolate was amazing with lots of cream and marshmallows.

After a day out at Blackpool Zoo we were looking for somewhere nearby for tea and, very fortunately, chose here. What a stroke of luck! Eat is a five minute drive from the Zoo and we managed to park immediately outside the restaurant. It's a small restaurant with lots of Italian themed artwork on the walls. We're a family of four with children aged four and one. Both children had penne pasta with Napoli sauce, which was a mild tomato based sauce. That was from the kids menu, which included chicken strips, Margherita pizza and spaghetti or penne bolognaise. Us adults had tortellini in crema (pasta in a creamy sauce with ham) and penne al salmone (pasta with a lovely creamy tomato sauce and pieces of salmon fillet). We had garlic bread too. Everything was delicious. We also had puddings. I had a rum baba and my wife had profiteroles. Again, they were delicious. It's a family run business and the lady that served us was lovely and friendly. She even asked if we would like our meals after the children had finished theirs, which we've never been asked before, despite eating out regularly with the kids. We're used to the chaos of us all trying to eat together, so we declined, but if you're spoon feeding a baby or have a really fussy eater then that gesture would be really helpful. We don't visit Blackpool too often as we live over an hour away but next time we're back, we'll definitely be visiting here again!

We have been meaning to try huggers for ages. As we went today (which is a Sunday) we were particularly taken by a review which said ‘best vegan roast ever. Well, it really is !! I had the sausage plait and my wife ate the nut roast. It was the very best of home cooking and utterly faultless. The desserts were equally delicious (I had the apple pie while my wife had a chocolate sundae. The staff were friendly and knowledgable. Huggers are going to be seeing quite a bit more of us moving forward and I am excited to have unearthed a real vegan gem of a place. Hurray !!

What can I say that hasn’t already been said but I would like to add something anyway! Meadowsweet isn’t a cheap option when it comes to dining out. However, they say you get what you pay for, and this certainly applies here! Food is excellent and the team, both the kitchen and front of house, work seamlessly together to provide an exemplary experience.

Just back to our hotel near Trafalgar Square from the wonderful Schnitzel Heaven up in Hackney (about 2.6 miles away). It was farther afield than most of our restaurants, but would have been worth a much longer detour. My wife had a fried mozzarella appetizer--delicious, in a spicy cranberry-based sauce (that put the usual fried cheese with marinara in the shade)--followed by a chicken schnitzel with a side of beautiful, chunky French fries. My Weiner schnitzel, which came with two condiments and a spicy potato salad, was superb. We were both delighted with the fare, which equaled or surpassed what we expected from all the five-star reviews. In addition, service was warm and attentive, highlighted by a friendly reception and check-ins from the ebullient proprietor. The place is small, informal, and obviously very popular with locals, as evidenced by the steady stream of bicycle delivery people taking off with insulated saddlebags and backpacks full of take-out orders. As noted in reviews, the thinly-pressed schnitzels are not only perfectly prepared but huge, barely contained by the large plates on which they are served. My only regret was having no room whatsoever to sample the apple strudel. Prices are almost outrageously reasonable, so quality and value both hit the top of the scale. We could not recommend this place more highly!

Collected a pizza to take home, superb value and quality, the food is always top class. Wellington is so fortunate to have an Italian of this quality

Rated the best place to eat in Swindon and the second best place in the whole of Wiltshire. That’s some serious hype to live up to especially when there’s three Michelin star restaurants to compete with. And does it? Yes, it does! The food was absolutely incredible, of the highest quality, and we experienced flavours we have never experienced before which made it truly special. We ordered 4 dishes and asked Michael to choose another 2 for us. You may notice a lot of reviews mention Michael by name. That’s testament to how personal the dining experience is. Every single dish was brought over to us by Michael himself and was explained in detail before we enjoyed it. This level of service is extremely rare and aside from the exquisite food itself was a highlight of the dining experience. Aside from Michael and his food talked about above, the general atmosphere was also fantastic. There’s a lovely cosy feel to the place. You’re made to feel as if you’re the only people there, and yet there’s a great buzz from all the other tables who are also having the same experience. That’s a very hard dynamic to pull off! Price wise, we spent a fair amount and for us personally it will become a special occasion place to visit. However, I really believe that for the quality of the food and dining experience it was worth significantly more than we paid, especially when you consider it’s rightfully rated higher than some Michelin star restaurants that would have cost 3 times as much. So really it’s a bargain for what you’re getting! A special shout out must also go to Natalie who was both friendly and fantastic. She gave us a lovely welcome when we arrived, took our coats and once sat at our table gave us the rundown of the restaurant as we had never been before. I’m sure anyone reading this will have experienced that annoying part of most dining experiences where you want something like another drink or the bill at the end and spend the next 10 minutes trying to awkwardly catch the eye of your server. Not with Natalie on hand! We’ve concluded she must be able to read minds as the second we thought we might like something she was there as if by magic. Fair play! I’ll be amazed if before long this place isn’t in the Michelin star guide, or even gets a star. Stop reading reviews and experience it for yourself!

Lovely coffee. The food is excellent, innovative and always very fresh with the best ingredients. Sam and Max are always friendly and helpful and go out of their way to provide excellent service. Their staff are also brilliant. Our favourite place in Gatley. We have been customers for some 14 years which says it all.
