Although a limited menu it is a great stop. Nice cheeses, meats and other things with a Spanish twist. A small variety of deli items to go, as well. Great, friendly staff, too!

Indaba Cafe South Clerk St. There are many excellent cafes in Edinburgh. One is spoilt for choice. However the Indaba Cafe still manages to come out at the top of the crop. It ticks all the right boxes concerning service, friendliness, cleanliness, and menu choices but what makes this cafe stand out is the ‘the something else’ factor. It is so easy when sitting inside the snug interior to believe you are somewhere else. A feeling of somewhere abroad and certainly beyond Edinburgh; a feeling invaluable and precious in these days of covid restrictions on travel. The interior is tastefully laid out, snug but not cramped. Service is quick, friendly and efficient, the food, mostly based on Spanish cuisine, is excellent with the people in the cafe always happy to explain food contents and recipes. This cafe makes a delightful escape from the ordinary, with the staff never overbearing or abrupt. They just want you to enjoy your stay. ©kw

We were visiting Edinburgh and found this restaurant on tripadvisor. So glad we did. Authentic Spanish food, served by the very knowledgable and helpful owner. We chose a mixed platter of meats and cheeses which was excellent, along with various other dishes from a simple but varied menu. A real treat, thank you. We will return next time we’re in the city.

Great choice of tapas, in particular the home made Spanish tortilla. And a good choice of wines by the glass.

My husband and I by chance took refuge from torrential rain here, after seeing a midday show at Summerhall. So glad we did. Felt like authentic Spanish cuisine. Great chickpea stew and excellent tortilla espanola. Custard pie a tad lacklustre but the excellent coffee made up for it. Call in, if you're nearby. Well worth it.

We have paid several visits to Indaba for tapas, some food and drinks and each time it has surprised us with an improved quality in food and service. Now with the option we had of drinking nice good quality wine at a reasonable price with tapas of deliciously cooked manchego omelette, tasty mushroom and blue cheese croquettes or empanadas’ (pies) with tuna and tomato, among other delicatessens, beats most of our previous visits to other Spanish restaurants in Edinburgh. We will definitely come back and will recommend to friends.

Had a lovely meal last night with friends and the pistachio cheesecake was the lightest tastiest I have ever eaten. All the tapas were fab as well but had to mention the cheesecake. How do they make it so light? Fabby meal

This place is an absolute hidden gem. The food is so tasty and changes regularly. Rosanna The owner is lovely. She is very friendly and welcoming and it's clear she is very passionate about making good Spanish food. Her Spanish tortilla is amazing as well as the empanadas which are delicious. Rosanna also does catering and provided lots of food for a friend of mine who was having a party. It all went down very very well and was popular with all of her guests. I cannot recommend this place enough to everyone I know. It is a great find.

We stumbled upon this place while out for a walk. Decided to go in because we are big fans of Indaba. They had a great selection of Spanish produce, food and drink. The prices were really reasonable and the quality was very high. The woman was very friendly and helpful too. It is a shame we had already had lunch otherwise we would have gotten sit in food as well as buying some stuff to take home. Much better than Goya 23!

When I miss Spain this is the place where I go, great coffee, awesome croquetas and boquerones en vinagre like my mum's ones. The torrijas they made in Easter were the best I had for years! Thank you! If you want to try real Spanish tapas, or get some things from Spain knowing they're good, this is the place. And Rosanna is always lovely!

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the first class lunch served to us at the Wednesday Lunch Club in The Gift Tree Corstorphine. Started with a delicious Amuse Bouche. Followed with cheese and broccoli quiche. Served with baked potato and coleslaw. Pudding was a scrumptious berry crumble with custard. Together with a hot drink. Excellent value!

Popped into Picnics Takeaway for a quick lunch, chose their spicy chicken wrap, husband had spicy chicken on baguette. Both were stuffed with delicious chicken breast, chargrilled with spices, fresh salad, cheese, chilli sauce. Very filling, excellent value and friendly service.
